Very nice candy shop at San Francisco. We didn't even plan to visit but we were talking about candy shop around San Francisco and found it. We came on the weekend and it was not that busy. The shop is not that big but full of candies. So many variant of candies. There are so many choices. If you are candy lover, this is a must visit place. it has sweet, sour, hard, soft, fruit flavor type of candy. The price is by weigh. If I am not mistaken you can mix and match for some. When you are in the store, you will feel like you are kid again. just make you you don't eat too much candy :-).
I stopped by Giddy Candy while looking for gifts for coworkers and ended up spending way more time inside than I expected. The store is super cute with a pink theme and colorful displays everywhere. They have a wide variety of candy selections, gummy bears, chocolates, and snacks from different places. I honestly so surprised to find Maison Marou chocolate there since it's from Vietnam, my homeland, and I never expected to see it in a SF store. That alone made me so happy. Everything feels thoughtfully picked instead of random bulk candy. It's the kind of shop where you keep spotting new things everywhere around the store. Definitely a great spot for gifts or just treating yourself a little.

Awesome candy store with variety of gummies, licorice, marshmallow, and sours! There are premade bags or make your assortment and pay by weight. Staff was friendly when i asked for recommendations and sour scale! My bag came to $10, got one of many flavors to try - my favorites are the sour bottle fizz shaped ones!
This is a cute little candy shop with a variety of Swedish candy and more! I love how you're able to build your own bag - I got different flavors of Bubs, skulls and more. They have so much variety - they also have many vegan options too! The staff was very friendly - I will definitely be back!
We stumbled upon this place after eating and were excited to discover they have Swedish and other countries (e.g. Holland, UK, Spain) candies. It was a typical busy Saturday afternoon. It's really a small store so please be mindful of how crowded it can be. You pick up a tong and bag and go through all the different selections until you are done. You take it up to the counter where they will weigh it. You pay per lb. There were six of us and I paid $60 for all six bags. These are high quality candies and you can taste the natural flavors and sourness. Didn't have much interaction with the owner or the worker. Ofc, you will have to find street parking in Castro District to get to it.

Walked in, greeted warmly by workers, and the shop itself was small and adorable! Parking can be inconvenient since it's on a busy main street but came on a Sunday afternoon and got lucky! Typical candy store experience: you get tongs, put candies of your choice in a bag from their varying selections, and pay by weight. Came here to try the viral Swedish candies and other kinds from countries like Spain, etc. I was being mindful of how much I was putting in my bag because you pay by weight but I ended up paying less than $10, which surprised me! Would come here again and try more sweets!

I heard about this place for their Swedish Candy so I by and was treated by an expansive selection of all the classic Swedish candies as well as many other brands and types!! It was an easy process, you just pick any candy you like and put it in a bag to be weighed. And for being so amazing and having such an array of product, this place is extremely reasonably priced!! I really got a lot for what I paid.
I've been wanting to try Swedish candy like Bubs since I saw some videos earlier this year. Cue Giddy candy! They have a rotating selection of gummies including Bubs and it's fun because you create your own assortment. They also have pre-made bags if you'd prefer. Friendly service and always prefer to support local when possible. The Swedish candy gummies were unique, fresh and had good chew. Priced per pound. Lots to do in the nearby neighborhood as well. I will be back.

However I was able to find them all here on top of some other new finds! Good price for the amount I got but you'll definitely find yourself getting a lot!

Growing up in San Francisco I attended different schools all within a two block radius which includes Sanchez Elementary, Everett Middle School , and Mission High School. I would go to corner candy store for each school to buy my favorite candies through my formative years. Candies were also part of celebrations in the Mission involving a piñata .As an adult you will see me at See's when I get a sweet tooth craving. There is a place which sells chocolate from Switzerland and the Philippines and if you are sour because it's Monday or just everyday of the week in SF you should visit a place called Giddy. On Spring stroll in my old school stomping grounds I walked on Noe street and landed on Market at Giddy. Inside it's a candy store with lots of variety of gummies and licorice along with some international chocolate from the Ecuador and the Philippines. What you will also find a lot of varieties of candies which are very sour like some in SF. You will find lots of sour fizzy chewy cherries along sour mango belts. You will also find the classic sour cherry balls and berry sour foamy and sour strawberry and lemon butterflies along with a favorite from Sweden known as Bubs which is a sour strawberry and lemons skull gummy. Giddy is a good place to get sweet or sour. Sour is how you "felt" on a Monday when the chocolate in your pocket on a hot day "melt" and the best way in the past how it was "dealt" is go grab for a sour "gummy cherry belt" On Market street there lots of places for foods I have "eaten"some want on a cheat day a place for some "cheatin" at a place with chocolate from Ecuador , Philippines and Switzerland which is a bit "sweeten" and some like it sour like the strawberry and lemon skulls called Bubs which are from "Sweden" read more

Oh man, as much as I wish there was a location closer to where I live, it's a good thing that there isn't because I would be going here very often. This place has the yummy trending Swedish and European gummies (Spain, Britain, etc.) and other yummy candies from around the world. Little did I know, this place existed way before the Swedish Candy trend and has been open for 10 years! I am so freaking happy my sister and I decided to go today. Surprisingly, San Francisco was peaceful and very empty today and when we visited the store, it was empty! **Overview: Candy selection: 9/10 Price/worth: 9/10 Service: 9/10 Ambiance: 8/10 Parking: 6/10 (doesn't count toward rating) CANDY SELECTION: 9/10 I came here with one goal in mind and it was to get the Bubs gummies. They have a great selection!!!! Caramel/Banana, Raspberry/Blueberry, Tutti Frutti, Dizzy Skull (MY FAVORITE), and SO much more. PRICE/WORTH: 9/10 I think the price was great. You pay per pound and we filled up our candy bag a little below half and paid $11. Compared to the prices you see online for these trending candies and we were able to customize what we want and get a lot, is worth it. SERVICE: 9/10 Very friendly lady who ran the store on her own. You grab a tong from the staff member, which I think is great and seems more hygienic that way. AMBIANCE: 8/10 A small store and there are candy selections all around the store, high and low, including the register counter. PARKING: 6/10 Located few steps away from Market St, there is a lot of 90-degree parking which is convenient than parking on the hectic main street of Market. However, it also seems the parking gets filled up as well so you may have to find residential parking in the alleys. I would LOVE to go back again for sure!!!! read more

This place is a local gem. I come in here a few times a week. The owner will let you do your thing. But, she's also very knowledgeable if you have any questions. Giddy adds childhood wonder to our cold world. It can cheer up the worst of days. read more
One of the only self serve international candy shops I've found in SF! It's quite pricey, but these things are treats so I try my best to stay away haha. It's about $17-18 per pound, and the candies available swap out pretty often. read more
Where to find Swedish Candy in the Bay Area! Been seeing these viral candy all over and now we don't have to go to SoCal, or have it shipped, and can just drive into the city to @giddycandy and get them! These foam skulls and bubs got that sour kick to them, but the texture is like foam/taffy/gummy all mixed in one. We actually really enjoyed it and think they're worth the hype! They also come in a lot of different flavors. This candy store also has a lot of other candies from around the world and treats we've never seen before. We even got some sprinkle covered gummy bears, and went home with 2 bags full of new treats to try Parking can be a bit difficult, it is the city anyways haha but the store is nice and cute and smells amazing! Worked in the area for about 3 years now but it was only last Friday that I found out about this place from another coworker. Went today and I felt like a kid again! Shop is very well maintained and clean. Wanted to give a huge shoutout to Mary! She was so sweet and engaged in a wonderful conversation with me. This is what makes SF so great. Wonderful store! The location it is in is so busy, so it was stressful to drive and find parking there for me. When I went, it was not busy at all in the store and we got to chat with the lady working there. She was very nice and helpful while we were looking around and picking our candy. Very welcoming atmosphere! The store was very cute and a lot smaller than I expected. The selection was very limited, but I mostly came there for the Swedish candy anyways. They had a good amount of bubs and they weren't stale at all. I loveee sour candy and I thought that the bubs were actually SOUR. The texture was foamy and fun to chew. They had other candy selections, I just wasn't interested in them. Overall, definitely an underrated spot for Swedish candy! read more

I'm not super big on sour candy and gummies but I am always open to try new things. Happy to see this business in the Castro and such a great and welcoming cashier. It is a bit small and has limited options but I still think it's such a cool concept especially since Swedish candy is trending right now. I wasn't planning on buying anything BUT I did see they had chocolate options as well. Now don't be fooled, this isn't your Hershey's chocolate. These are premium priced chocolate. I got three bars for about $10 each. Not disappointed at all. It took me a week to eat the chocolate bars. I can't wait to come back again or find the chocolate online. 10/10 recommend. read more
Staff was friendly. It is a small store, but there are so many choices of Swedish gummies! I love how there were little notes on the candy labels to tell us a bit more about the type of chew or flavor they'll be. Our favorites are the coke cola fizzy gummies and the bubs because of their foamy-like chew! We paid $23.22 for about half the bag full... Expensive for candy, but I get they're hot right now. read more

We live 4+ hours away and make sure to get our candy fix when we visit SF! She offers the largest selection of Swedish Candy. The owner is such a sweetheart and loves helping younger children choose which candies they want as well. Can't wait to go back for our fix! read more

Giddy: A Sweet Escape to Sweden (Right Here in SF!) Let me start by saying, as a huge Swedish candy fan, I was thrilled to find this gem in the Castro. Forget the trek down to Sockerbit in LA - Giddy brings a taste of Sweden right here to NorCal! **The Good Stuff:** * Swedish Candy Galore! Finally, a place to find all those delicious Swedish candies I can never get my hands on. They had everything from the classics like Skulls and Bubs (lifesavers!) to a surprising variety of other flavors and types. * Super Clear Labeling: Everything was clearly labeled with the name, country of origin, and even if it was vegan. Major points for transparency! * Pick Your Own Adventure: I loved that you could grab a bag and fill it up yourself. It felt nostalgic and way more fun than just grabbing pre-made selections. * Cute & Compact: The store itself is small but absolutely charming. It fits the Castro vibe perfectly. * Reasonable Prices: My bag ended up being around $10, which felt pretty good for the amount of candy I got. **A Small Note:** While Giddy's selection was fantastic, especially considering it's in SF, I will say Sockerbit definitely has a wider variety overall.
