One of the best hotel experiences I have had in a long long time. The concierge system is top notch, the staff was incredible and the room was to die for... medium price bargain in the heart of Anapolis. read more

Charming, unique, quiet spot just off the main streets. Friendly service and welcoming overall.

Easy five star review. My girlfriend and I stayed here on a Thursday night in April. First time in Annapolis in many years and it was made all the better by staying here. We loved it and highly recommend it to others. The whole property, from the common areas, the outdoor patios, the private parking lot, to our room, was immaculate. Our room - Touch of Grey - was small but spotless and tastefully appointed. Every employee we interacted with was super friendly and professional. Both buildings are elegant and charmingly historic while also modern and well kept. Location is part of its appeal. Directly next to the Naval Academy and a block from the famous and historic Dock Street. Easy to walk everywhere from here. Parking is tight in this area so access to a private parking lot is key. We hope to return to Annapolis soon and will definitely try to stay here again. read more

Great location; friendly service, expansive buffet breakfast; immaculate guest room and public spaces. Quiet during our mid-January stay. Our room ("Touch of Gray") was too small -- while we would certainly stay at this in again, definitely not in this room. read more

What a lovely stay at Gibson's Inn. Rooms are bright, clean, and welcoming. A definite plus having a deck, even though the weather was beastly hot the weekend we were there, and the community rooms act as a lovely extension of one's room. Bathrooms are modern and well-appointed. Staff is friendly and efficient. Special thanks to Regina and Ryan (her and his majesty) for making our stay simply delightful. read more

Gilbert Inn did not have a room for me. Because I needed so many at the time, but I will tell you he was the most kind and helpful person. Even though he could not help me, he offered me ideas for an Airbnb another Airbnb he offered me ideas for other hotels in the area. I am so appreciative of his recommendations and his kindness. read more

From initial touring of the property, to the days leading up to our reservations and the personal touches such as text reminders about our upcoming stay...I would say the entire experience was well worth every penny! We thoroughly enjoyed the Watermans Suite and all the amenities provided both in the room and throughout the Inn! We look forward to many more stays! read more

Renovated rooms, drinks in fridge, location, and staff friendliness all made this one of the better stays at any hotel I have ever been in. We stayed in Mason's Suite and it was large, comfortable, and clean. They had a common room with couches and tables as well. Would make a great place to eat with mid if you didnt want to eat out. Stay here if you can. Super close to entrance to naval academy. Couldn't be more closer! read more

We stayed for a Navy football weekend. Charming, clean, quiet with great service and breakfast. Literally shares a wall with the Naval Academy so it is conveniently located to the Naval Academy and downtown Annapolis. Highly recommend. read more

from the service over the phone when I made my reservation, to the softness of the sheets, to the amazing breakfast, this is hands down the best weekend getaway ever. The staff is warm and inviting and just so lovely, I dont even have enough words to describe how wonderful my stay was. Highly Highly recommend. read more

My Fiancé and stayed at the Gibson Lodging Inn last month. Russ and Meredith were both very welcoming and friendly The bed and breakfast was well kept and had a beautiful vintage homey feel. Complimentary beverages and snacks are available in one of the dining areas 24/7 They offer free breakfast in the morning (waffles, cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, oatmeal, danishes, bagels/muffins, coffee, hard boiled eggs) We stayed in the King suite, which had an extra sitting room in the suite with a tv and a sofa. It was really nice being in walking distance to all the local spots and the private off street parking was very convenient. My only complaint would be the room was hot and a bit humid at night. I don't think the air ever came on both nights we were there. We would definitely stay there again, just maybe in a cooler season. All in all it was a positive relaxing experience for us both. read more

This place is truly unique! My husband and I are always arguing about whether to stay at a bed-and-breakfast or a five-star hotel. I love the quaintness that comes with a bed-and-breakfast, but my husband doesn't like the amenities that you give up when doing so. This place is truly the best of both worlds! It has the cleanliness of a five-star hotel, and the home feel and location of a bed n breakfast. From the warm greeting and very attentive staff, to thinking of what you need before you know you need it. (Like the umbrella hanging behind the door) The extraordinary complimentary breakfast is a great way to start your day. It's literally located next door to the Naval Academy entrance and within walking distance of more wonderful restaurants than we could sample in one visit. It's definitely the best place to stay in Annapolis that we have found and for sure we will be staying here again! Give it a try, you'll be happy you did. read more

We were lucky enough to experience 2 nights at Gibson's upon the recommendation from a friend. It was beyond our expectations! We stayed in the Lauer House in the Laredo Suite. The suite was meticulous; bright and cheerful, along with a stocked fridge :). The front desk was friendly and full of great recommendations (our first time visiting Annapolis). The Inn is next door to the entrance of the Naval Academy and surrounded by cobblestone streets with boutiques, great restaurants and a beautiful harbor. Both my husband and I could not stop raving about the bed, itself, and the soft, plush bedding--probably the best nights' sleep we've ever had in any hotel. Morning breakfast was a treat; greeted by friendly staff, hot, fresh coffee, pastries, yogurts, granola and more. Our days were action packed, and we could not wait to get back to the Inn to relax. We look forward to returning to Gibsons as soon as this Fall! read more

This place was AHHH-MAZING! Everything! From the customer service to the amenities (stocked fridge & restocked if you ran out, snacks, home gym, breakfast!), perfect location in downtown yet QUIET, the BED (honestly best bed I have ever slept in!)...it was beyond my expectations. My 15 year old daughter & I traveled up to visit my plebe at USNA. I am SO happy I booked this place for a 2 night stay and will definitely be back. I was in the Laredo Suite! I am excited to try the different suites, too! read more

An absolutely amazing experience! It's located right next to the Naval Academy and a minute walk from downtown Annapolis- it couldn't be in a more perfect location! The entire inn was pristine, beautiful, and comfortable. Each room is incredibly spacious, clean and organized, and so well decorated. The beds are so comfortable! The breakfast in the morning was delicious, and included fresh coffee, fruit, and bagels from the local bagel bakery. The staff is also incredibly helpful and attentive! I would give Gibson's 10 stars if I could. It was such an amazing experience! read more

Best bed and breakfast stay I've had so far! Gibson's Inn-Lauer building, Mason's suite was exceptional. Clean, modern though still historic and all the comforts of home. Fully stocked snack bar and beverage refrigerator. Everything was done with style and class. Reginna, Shawna and Ethan know how to make you feel like special guests...wonderful staff and service from the staff! Continental breakfast had many options: bagels with multiple cream cheeses, fresh fruit, cereals and juices. I'm probably forgetting some things. The outdoor seating is inviting and illuminated at night. The Inn is next door to the Naval Academy which you can tour. One block over from the Inn is the marina, lots of stores and restaurants. You won't be disappointed. read more

I have stayed here many times over the past 5 years and it has always been one of my favorite places to stay when I needed to be close to the Naval Academy. Sometimes when I felt I needed a little more upmarket stay then I would stay in the Loews, before it became the Graduate, but now that Gibson's has been taken over and they have started renovations I now have both comfort and location. I stayed in the Mason Suite in the Lauer House and my view was the entrance to the Naval Academy that I could literally reach out and touch as there was nothing between my room and entrance other than the garden wall. The suite was soooo comfortable that I spent more time in my room that in any other hotel room I have ever stayed in. The bed would not let me leave so I cancelled my normal 7.00 am run instead. I had a coffee machine in my room, along with a kettle for tea, microwave, fully stocked fridge with unlimited sodas, waters and juices. There was even a complimentary bottle of wine to go with a complete snack basket with an assortment of chips, nuts and candy. I am looking forward to returning. read more

Excellent room, staff, service, and breakfast! We came to Annapolis for a wedding and stayed in the Berman house. Our room was clean, comfortable, and charming. Be sure to wear nice pajamas in the morning as you will have to walk downstairs to get coffee. Lastly, the private parking lot in downtown Annapolis was the icing on the cake... along with the waffles at breakfast. Gibson's lodgings is a must stay! read more

Was visiting Annapolis over the Presidents Day weekend and had a very comfortable stay and felt completely well cared-for. My son is a MID at the Naval Academy. He had liberty, but also had to be back on the Yard on several occasions during the weekend. Gibson's couldn't have made this any easier. We stayed in the Lauer King Suite, which has been recently remodeled. Both the bed and the futon slept well. Loved the complimentary drinks and snacks in-room. The staff were attentive in a relaxed manner. I arrived early and was able to get into the room quickly. They checked-in with me to be sure all was going okay, and were easy to work with and accommodating in making additional arrangements. read more

An unexpected amazing surprise. The most convenient location. The entire staff was sincere and happy to make our stay very welcoming. "Perfect Getaway before school starts for Mom and Dad" We live in DC and are always looking for a good quick get away. Annapolis is a great town, quaint, lively, plenty choices to eat and drink, and of course the water! We got a last minute booking at Gibsons Lodgings and it couldn't have been better. First, it's perfectly located to walk around town and YES it does have a huge parking area! Second, the people working are so nice and helpful (and great bakers- love the pumpkin squares). Everyone is helpful, there is plenty of free water, drinks and snacks to tie you over in between jaunts into town. And the room was more than we needed. All in all a great place and a great 24 hour R&R before school starts. We will be back again. read more

Great little B&B, even better location! One block away from town center, great lodgings, private parking and nice breakfast setup. Will definitely recommend to friends and family. read more

I recently spent three nights at Gibson's Lodging in Annapolis, and it was perhaps the best sleep I've ever gotten in a hotel/motel/ setting. There was just something special about the setting that made me feel like I was at home, instead of in a strange bed. I'm sure that much of that feeling was passed on to me by the staff. Every staff member that I met, went out of their way to accommodate me, and make me feel welcome. I happened upon Gibson's because they were the closest to the main gate at the United States Naval Academy, where I was going for my Grandson's admission into the class of 2021. For those of you who have any business at the Academy, I would suggest Gibson's because they have comfortable rooms, a friendly staff, parking for your automobile, a very short distance to many restaurants( about 1 block) and only about 50 feet away from the pedestrians entrance to the Naval Academy. read more

PERFECT place you stay; you won't find a more hospitable host. Not only did Meredith delightfully check us in HOURS early, in an upgraded room by the way as our room was booked the night before, her team packed a breakfast for us due to our incredibly early check out time. The room was meticulous with extra blankets and pillows. I never did figure out how to work the a/c so I was a bit cold and thankful for the extra blankets!... The room had a sound machine, which I consider a thoughtful touch. Everything about Gibson's is really above and beyond. Tea, coffee, water, sweets and savories are out at ALL times for your snacking pleasure. Syrup and whipped cream is provided for sinful coffee. The location is SUPER - one block from the water So close to nightlife, shopping and all things wonderful about Annapolis. Check in is through the courtyard between the two buildings - where your FREE parking spot awaits. I can't wait to come back read more

Home away from home! Large rooms, comfortable beds, and an easy chair. But it gets better. Downstairs is a large parlor for games, reading or just sitting and socializing. Need a snack? Just walk into the kitchen for a cup of coffee and a cookie or popcorn. Walk around the building, through the Barry Gate and into the Visitor's Center of the US Naval Academy. Take a tour, it's lovely. Back at Gibson's, Meredith suggested a couple restaurants and they were perfect. Thank you Meredith! Before you leave for the next adventure, enjoy the homemade granola, fresh fruit and hot coffee! read more

Gibson's was amazing! More than I could have asked for on my engagement night! Everything about our stay was unforgettable! Gibson's was the perfect place to end the night after a wonderful day walking around town and eating on the water. I loved the area and Gibson's was in an unbelievable location! Steps away from the main square and right next to all the restaurants and shops! We had an unforgettable day and Gibson's helped us continue the experience through the night! Everything about our stay was excellent. The location was perfect. Right next to the Naval academy within a block of down town Annapolis all walking distance. We were in town for our Anniversary. We got our room promptly and were having beers on the patio within 10 mins of checking in. They had a fridge with water/sodas chips cookies and pastries to snack on through the day free of charge. They also had free separate parking lot which is a huge plus in the area. The room was clean and the A/C was great. The building we stayed in was great and had a great living room for leisure to lounge while waiting to go out. The breakfast buffet was awesome all fresh fruit pastries and a waffle bar.
