I forgot our server's name, but she provided wonderful service. She let us know that the kitchen was busy, but our food would be out as soon as possible. We started with the calamari and cream of crab soup. The calamari was the best I've ever had. The cream of crab soup was good, but it had a bit too much sherry. I got the crab cake and my husband got the halibut. Everything was so good. The only reason we would hesitate to return is the parking situation.

Food and service leave a lot to be desired with the view being the restaurant's best attribute…read more Immediately upon being sat we noticed the menu had shrunk in size since our last visit (just over a year prior) which in theory, would be great for fast and efficient service. It took a while for our server to greet us even though he appeared to only take orders, deliver drinks, and deliver the check while food delivery were handled by a dedicated food runner. Our starter, the crab avocado stack was beautifully plated. The sweet remoulade overpowered the naturally sweet blue crab and the crispy wontons were tasty but were very oily. The beet salad had an excessive amount of raw white onions on top, but the mixed greens and beets tasted fresh. The middle of the flatbread was undercooked which was more soggy than crisp with what tasted like an unseasoned can red sauce. The Mahi Mahi Rachel was unique spin on a standard Rachel sandwich. The blackened Mahi was just okay and oddly enough, the mouth feel of the Mahi was indiscernible from the slaw. I was a bit taken back that the slaw on the Mahi Mahi Rachel contained golden raisins and what looked like cranberries - neither of which were called out on the menu. The tomato and cucumber salad side lacked seasoning despite what appeared to be flakes of "Italian seasoning".

They had everything set up beautifully--separate tables for two, a rose on the table, candlelight, and elegant touches that made the whole night feel intimate and special. The food was delicious--so good it's hard to even put into words. Every course felt thoughtfully prepared and worth savoring. You can tell they put real care into both the presentation and the flavor. Whether you go solo, with friends, or with your partner, this is definitely a go-to spot. Great atmosphere, incredible food, and an experience that actually feels memorable. Highly recommend.

I can't help but feel the food has fallen off some since then. The asparagus and bean sides did not wow, and the 2 seafood pastas (one was the special) we got were very bland. The noodles of the lamb ragu were delicious and definitely homemade. The risotto was my favorite dish. Big fan of the beef carpaccio as well. Nothing to complain about with the spinach radicchio ricotta balls. The florentine steak special really needs to be served with flakey salt like their sister restaurant in Italy does. Flawless wine list and cocktails. Still a lovely spot for special occasions!

So, I got to check out the grounds around the main building before the bride and groom arrived for rehearsal. They have a wonderful wandering Garden with Fountains and water features. I could sit by a loud water feature for hours. The wedding was in the garden, but the facility had prepared the Veranda in case the rain didn't clear up. In addition to the new main structure, they have Historical buildings and Summer camps.

Howard County Conservancy…read more We'll walk you to see the biggest beaver dam in Howard County Conservancy. Are you excited? Let's walk with us to the Wetlands trail! First you walk from the parking lot to the old barn, you can see it's located by the entrance roadside, and once you get there, walk down the trail, and keep going. You'll be in sort of intersection on your left but we won't turn left here, keep walking and you'll see a walking path *watch on your right with a (ruined) stone gate alike. Walk across the stone gate, turn left and walk for around 10-15 foot steps and turn right, and keep walking until you'll see a sign of small pond on your left, then you're on the right path. You can walk closer to the pond through the short path on your left (that's what we did) and watched any movement around the water, and we found a turtle from here! Or, you can continue walking down the previous path until you see a bridge on your left. From the bridge, you'll see the biggest beaver dam was created along the water line. How cool is that? Another coolest thing was, we bumped into THE BEAVER!! Aaaahhhh!?! Yeeessss!?! We explored and walked back to the trail and found wineberries patch and mulbery tree, so we stopped there and enjoy the berries! *check your left while walking up the hill. Along the walk, we also found A Story Walk, a Demonstration Garden next to Nature Play Scene, a sleeping Eastern Screech Owl, goats house and chickens house. That's a wrap for our good hike today! It was good since the ground was dry and allowed us to explore more around the wetlands 10520 Old Frederick Rd, Woodstock, MD 21163 Daily 9AM-3PM, Sunday Closed inside the Gudelesky Environmental Education Center, with water fountains next to it. some stone trails/path in Clark Honor Garden are accessible both for strollers and wheelchairs.
