I even saw hot sauce!! * the tablecloths and decorations were done so well, please give the person who decorated kudos...the eggs with candy on the tables really showed yall care!! * I appreciated the stations for dirty dishes placed on the side, at doors. I used them several times to place our tables dirty plates. * servers were always walking around either cleaning helping replenish or simply moving along. No one was ever just standing around. * appreciated the music selection, and the volume was PERFECT...low enough to hear but not drown out voice conversations. * perfect LIGHTING too, no weird artificial lights, loved the setting VERY well done. SO well organized. I don't drink so I hope the bar was just as well done. Beautiful to See, Horrible to Stay At…read more We stayed at Kent Island Resort for a family wedding, along with many other family members and friends who stayed on the property for multiple nights. The property itself is beautiful, and the ceremony and reception spaces were very nice. Unfortunately, that's where the positives ended for us. At nearly $400 per night, I expected accommodations that felt far more luxurious than a typical hotel. Instead, we found paper-thin walls, large gaps around room doors, and constant hallway noise. In some rooms, the gaps were large enough to see through when the doors were closed. Every conversation, door closing, or bump against a wall sounded like it was happening inside the room. The bathrooms had been updated and looked nice, but even the shower door would not stay closed while in use. The biggest issue, however, was the fire alarm system. The first alarm went off while many wedding guests were getting ready. One staff member told a family member that a hot shower had triggered the alarm. Shortly afterward, someone identifying himself as the property manager said that was incorrect and claimed someone had pulled the alarm instead. After about 15 minutes, everyone was allowed back inside because there was no actual fire. While false alarms can happen, the explanations we received were inconsistent and changed depending on who we spoke with. After a long wedding day, reception, and cleanup, most of us finally went to bed around 11:30 p.m. At approximately 1:20 a.m., the fire alarm went off again. Guests poured into the hallways and outside until a staff member informed everyone that evacuation was not necessary. The alarm was extremely loud and disrupted the entire hotel. Unfortunately, the disruptions continued. Around 3:30 a.m., loud music began blasting from the lobby area. Family members went to investigate and found no one at the front desk. A group of teenagers or young adults was playing music loudly, and there appeared to be no staff present to address the situation. The next morning, nearly everyone in our group--including the bride and groom--was discussing the terrible night's sleep and repeated disruptions. Once again, we received different explanations regarding the overnight alarm but no clear answer. During checkout, we asked whether the resort could offer any compensation for the multiple alarms and disturbances. We were told that no refund or credit was available but that we could receive 50% off a future stay. Since none of us had any intention of returning, that offer felt meaningless. After we left, my wife's aunt contacted the Kent Island Fire Department regarding the repeated false alarms. She was told that the department had received numerous complaints about the property and that the Fire Marshal had previously been involved regarding violations. Given our experience, that information was concerning. The wedding venue itself was beautiful, but I cannot recommend staying overnight at this property. If you're looking for accommodations in the area, I would strongly recommend staying at the Hilton, the Hyatt, or the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club instead. At similar price points, I believe they offer a much better guest experience.

Had such a fun experience here on a girls trip!…read more Checking in was a breeze. They had my keys (yes old school keys!!) in a little envelope and the staff was so efficient and friendly. Plus there was bubbly!! My room was on the second floor facing the bay and it was so dreamy. The room was spacious and comfortable. My only complaint is that there wasn't any outlets close to the bed to be able to charge my devices, so I had to do it in the bathroom. We swam in the pool, played bocce and cornhole, used the paddle boards (watch out for jellyfish and sharks!!), and bought s'mores supplies to roast around the fire pits. I loved being able to walk around barefoot as their grass is so soft. The Breakfast spread was pretty typical of a hotel -- muffins, bagels, oatmeal, cereal, yogurt, fruit, and hot coffee.

In October, I stayed in the Wylder Hotel for a quick weekend away. It was my first time and I have to say it was the most relaxing and peaceful trip. The hotel's property is spacious and beautiful with a stunning view of the water. There are fire pits around the property to gather around, have a drink, roast marshmallows or just watch the sun go down. There is also a restaurant attached to the hotel which was perfect for having drinks and dinner at for a resort kind of vibe. The sauna on the property with a cold water plunge was incredible! You can sign up at the front desk for your session. The pool is another amazing amenity on the property to add to relaxation and fun. In the morning, there is a continental breakfast prepared. You are able to take your coffee and/ breakfast to any of the seating options. I found some really comfortable couches outside that were perfect to wake up to. They supply a bunch of community games as well. The room I stayed in was was on the smaller side. However, it didn't impact my stay. The bed was comfortable! The room was clean. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Like I said, I'm making another trip back but this time with my family and I can't wait to show them around and have a fun and peaceful weekend with them as well.

We bought two bottle koozies which, if you don't bring any- this is a must for a hot day. There are maybe 10 rooms to stay in. It's motel style, your door opens to the outside. Our room was super clean. #5. And opened to a sandy area and a volleyball net. A couple groups of Adirondack chairs in the sand. A couple fire pits also. This place is very cool! It's on the water of the Chesapeake Bay. You can drive here or boat here. There are 4 bars. 3 are outside, 1 inside. Although I'm not sure why. They're all very close to each other. Live music today (Sunday) 2p-6p Also on Friday and Saturday While at the bar outside we ordered fried green beans that came with a spicey dip- and were given a small pager that told us when our food was ready - IT WAS delicious! We started a tab at an outside bar and were told that we could order at any of the 4 bars. We went inside when a baseball game was about to start. They have no baseball game channels. Jake tried to help us for a few minutes but got frustrated and walked away. I'm not sure where that went wrong. While inside at the bar we ordered food. Cheeseburger and fries, and wings. Both delicious. Still no game. It was on direct tv. Jake didn't know the password. After a lot of signal searching on my cellphone. (No signal at the inside bar) we found a friend that gave us their log in to direct tv. This is a cozy little local spot. I'd compare the stay to a cottage at a camp ground. It was clean and close to the bar. Walking distance. To sum it up. It was a new experience. A fun stay. Everything except that 4 inning bump in the road when Jake made us feel like we were bothering him.

My daughter started working at our local Dunkin' when she was just 16, a Jr. In high-school. She's a real go-getter and working at Dunkin' keeps her moving! Fast forward a couple years, she's 21 and the Assistant Manager at our Dunkin'! The owners at Dunkin' treat her like family and my daughter loves them. She was chosen for a nice size Scholarship and this is why we are here today! Don't ever tell your kids they won't go anywhere working at fast food places or similar. The PR and Marketing people here today representing Dunkin' spoke to her about internship with Dunkin' Marketing. I mean thats her major, is Marketing! We arrived at 1 to drop off our bags and had to call to be let in. The on site person wasn't on site and we waited about ten mins then decided to leave our bags in the lobby. 2: the on site person was not there at 3:00. We had to wait until about 3:10 then the on site person didn't have their computer to check us in. The on site person didn't know our code for the front door and it took us asking about 4 times to finally get a code to the front door. 3: the house is cold. There are space heaters everywhere in the house, which helps, but I am not paying $400 a night to stay in a cold house. I will not be staying here again.
