The checkout experience was...awkward. The cashier mentioned they didn't have boxes (which I wasn't expecting), but then she just dropped the mug into a plastic bag with no wrapping or protection at all, and said, "be careful." Come on, even Walmart does better than that. I asked if I could have another small bag to cushion the mug, and she hesitated, stared at me, and said, "It won't help." I kind of laughed, and told her I'd still like to try. She eventually gave me one, but it was a weird interaction. The store wasn't busy, and there was no line behind me, so I thought it was a pretty reasonable request. I get that Spencer's is a bit unconventional, and maybe they have rules about bag use, but they really need to offer some tissue paper or something for fragile items. Like cell phone accessories brand LeYi. I never knew this brand until I bought a cell phone case from Amazon. They got unique design and functionality. Yesterday July 31 was their first day. I arrived around 3 pm. They were busy unloading and setting up the shop. There were few customers. Employees greeted everyone as we came in. Prices are still handwritten on the crates. I saw $1, $2, $3, $4, $5... But I saw nice stuff in the crates. Oh, they take cash and credit cards. I wasn't planning to stay long because I could overspend for trinkets. Some items can become customized gifts for businesses. I'll be back when we can safely meet in person. This is an interesting thrift store. Let me start by saying I've not yet taken time to browse…read morethrough their clothing so I can't speak to that but I do believe the sales that are advertised are for clothing as those are the different colored tickets whereas home goods and other things get written on with an oil pen so there is no color differentiation. I've been here 3-4 times now. As with all thrift stores the pricing can be hit or miss. I've been able to find a variety of interesting things for my home for a great price but have also looked at unbranded, generic glasswares that are priced at $10 ish for seemingly no reason at all. Some of their vases for instance are very basic and priced high. One thing about this thrift though is if you see anything that's out of the ordinary with pricing, their website gives you the ability to reach out about that so it can be addressed. All 3-4 times I've been, I left with a bag so I do believe there is a lot to be found. When I was reading on this thrift, it seems they get their donations from purchasing their inventory. They also appear to help lots of different causes. It feels like a treasure hunt but I can see where it can be overwhelming for some as it is densely packed with many many things. If you want to browse, I really recommend you visit. It's a lot to dig through and I find it to be fun and relaxing.

Wait this is a gift shop. Where are the groceries? While I was angry and curious at the same time, I walked into the store. I was greeted by the owner's son and the owner in a separate room. This place is huge. It got indoor and outdoor spaces throughout the entire lot. Everything was from Mexico just like going to the market. The merchandise was well organized and I was not looking for anything particular. I particularly like the yard critters displays in the outdoor section. If I had a yard, they would be displayed or guard my house. Parking is kind of awkward because it's right off of the freeway exit. Just have to watch out for incoming vehicles.
