New Giant by Fairfax circle. Easiest to access heading westbound 50 or southbound Blake lane. The free parking garage is across from the Giant. Very large and clean. Has more selection than the other Giants off of Braddock. Price seems a tad more, but maybe it's a pandemic thing. The Starbucks area is large with seating. For now attendents frequently are taking carts from the garage. Great option for those that live by, might not make it my regular grocery store since there are a few closer. Would like to see what else eventually opens in the complex.

    6/7/21 Needed some sparkling water

6/7/21 Coming here is very convenient. Many times we have found what is needed at this store while other Giant Food stores do not have what we are looking for. Today my wife wanted Turkey Hill Natural Salted Caramel Ice Cream. Many times the store near my house doesn't carry it anymore. This store had it all. The sparkling water will be a nice touch for our dessert tonight. We also saw a number of people going without masks now. This is a good thing if the people we saw are fully vaccinated. However, one never knows do one. Oh yeah, we also saw a number of dead cicadas upon arriving and leaving. Their time is almost up. Such a shame.

An entire counter for fresh cut fruit!

A promising new grocery store for Fairfax! Well-organized and many modifications are in place for social distancing, including dedicated one way lanes, masks required, spots on the floor to indicate 6 feet and plenty of hand sanitizer. The parking garage is a little awkward to get to. For now, if you are coming from the west on 50, you have to make a U-turn to get into the parking garage. I think this will change since it's still under construction. There were lots of open parking spots on the garage, and it's very close to the Giant entrance. Right now they are doing $10 of $50 for their grand opening week and they handed out coupons when you walked in. There are many hallmarks of a "bougie" grocery store here, including a Starbucks inside, a fresh fruit counter, a sushi counter (that actually looked good), a fun beer section, and many fresh baked/prepared foods. I awkwardly spilled most of a container of blueberries and one of the cashiers was mercifully jokey about it as I attempted to fix the situation. All of the workers seemed upbeat and willing to help. One younger guy working there seemed very concerned that I couldn't find my almond croissants which was very sweet. I assured him I would be okay with chocolate...more than okay! I will be back for sure. It's nice to not be living in a food desert anymore!

Lazy co workers that don't want to clean up... plus I do it cause who else is going to do it...

Opened this past weekend. Clean, big, covered parking, and good prices. Would be nice if they had Hawaiian style Poke bowls.

I went on a Thursday morning and I only saw one or two customers, so there's no problem social distancing.

Grab your $10 off a $40 purchase when you bring your return. Prices can be expensive so you have to shop the sales and deals. It took some getting used to but once we got the hang of it; it was actually really convenient. You can see all your items on a digital screen on the cart. But than it got weird. We couldn't figure out how to scan a produce item and I put the item in the cart without scanning and it made an alarm sound. A worker came seemingly out of nowhere to help within seconds. Then I realized the many cameras all around the store. Very dystopian. I also noticed that the shelves were empty and not much inventory. The hot bar was laughable. There were more workers than there were customers. I was helped by a worker that explained that I just push the shopping cart in the designated lane and it "checks out" my cart. I was emailed with minutes of the receipt. Awesome tech makes it worth it to check out but as far as buying groceries on the daily; I'll stick with Whole Foods and Trader Joe's.

Dear Whole Foods Market Store Manager, I am writing to share…read morefeedback regarding my experience at your Fairfax location this morning around 7:50 AM. I arrived early to purchase a birthday cake for a family celebration. Seeing that employees were already inside working at the customer service counter, I politely asked if it might be possible to process the payment early so I could stay on schedule. Unfortunately, the team strictly refused and insisted I wait until exactly 8:00 AM. While I fully respect official store hours, safety protocols, and store policies, rules are made by people, and there should always be room for reasonable exceptions. Refusing a simple request just 10 minutes before opening--when staff was already present and available--felt unnecessarily rigid and unhelpful. I had to leave to get gas and return, which added unnecessary stress to an already busy morning. I value Whole Foods for its quality products and usually high customer service standards. However, outstanding customer service relies on flexibility and good judgment when special circumstances arise. I hope this feedback encourages your team to be more adaptable and accommodating in the future. Thank you for your time and attention. Sincerely,

They truly cared about customer experience back then. Now: not so well stocked shelves. Inconsistent products. Something we love (such as lemon jelly) is never restocked. They used to have nice Taiwanese snacks. No more. Completely overtaken by low-quality Chinese snacks. It is no longer reliable. you may find something you like. Next time you come: no more. Probably mismanaged. They should stay consistent. Food court closes early; quality is low (food stale or overcooked; or laid out all day never refreshed). The one highlight was the delicious and rare find: kumquat jasmine tea. Nope. That lady closes up at like 5 pm. Very hard to find; she'd put some out there but none of those pre-made cups are kumquat flavor). They do offer a new Japanese bubble bath tablet package that smells good. It's for bubble bath, and with yuzu or citrus flavors. See my photo on this visit.
