Spontaneously popped in here a year or so ago on my way past, after quite a while just overlooking it. It was a Thursday, and they have a Thursday special on lasagna - my husband's favorite. Well, Gianni's lasagna is now officially my husband's second-favorite lasagna ever (behind his Italian grandma's!). It's extremely generous for the very good price, and yes, delicious. Lovely thick meaty sauce, Bechamel, and a good amount of cheese. Ask for a little extra splash of sauce on top, too.
I'm also a fan of the pizza. I love a thin, but sort of chewy and flexible crust (hate those crispy-cracker-thin crusts!) with actual flavor, and Gianni's is so good. Not skimpy with the toppings, either!
I've chatted with the owner - nice guy! - who tells me everything is made in-house, and it definitely tastes that way. So overall, it's great value, delicious tastes, friendly owner... don't be put off that it's about 99% takeaway or that it doesn't look like an "Italian restaurant". You're going to get a deal and you're going to love it, and you're going to be full when you're done.
Excuse the photo not being particularly artsy. I took it to show a friend what a big ol' slab you get for, like, ten bucks! Garlic bread not shown, but included! read more
