    Came back again and remembered to take photos! I came around 11am on a Friday.... It's best to come before the lunch rush or expect the wait. Luckily my parallel parking skills are expert level and I was able to squeeze my Camry into this spot right in front of their van. I noticed that there were about 8-10 people standing on the sidewalk and they all had already placed their orders. I walked right up and ordered 4 plates (my coworkers and I) and then went back into my car to enjoy my ac while I waited. Id say it took about 30-40 minutes for my order to be ready.... There were a few people that came after me too. Second time here and I'm still a fan. I figured out why I like their kawali so much... I'm a cilantro fan and noticed that they used cilantro on their Lechon Kawali... it gives it that nice flavor. If you're dna is the weird one, cilantro may not be your thing. They don't use a lot so I'm sure you'll still enjoy their kawali. This time I had their kawali/Kalbi plate. Last time I had their kawali/garlic chicken plate. Not sure which one is better but I guess it would depend on your food for the day. I attached some photos to my review this time. Enjoy!

    Hungry AF. Open the weighty container to reveal a steaming hot kalua pig loco moco. Things are about to get nasty! 30 minutes later, passed out. Kanak attack badge of honor. Outstanding local plate lunches with a Filipino touch. No complaints on the simple flattop grilled fresh mahi. Absolutely none for the massive kalua pig loco moco. And yes, the gravy taste like it is a mix of a scratch made thickened and enhanced using a packaged mix, all good as it goes so well with the smoke flavor of the pork, becomes even more unctuous with the egg yolks. Sub adobo fried rice with no upcharge. Not sampled this visit. Inexpensive. Everything $15 and under. Located in the Pearl City Industrial Park. Look for the blue and white food truck near the National Guard Armory. Street parking only. Tip: Go before lunch rush. This is a one man operation. Next time, lechon kawali or maybe an ahi katsu? Worthy.

    My man is a one man kitchen brigade! His food is great and reasonably priced! The plates are very generous and can feed two! Tried the kalbi and the adobo fried rice with lechon and two fried eggs any way you want it. Very delicious and yes I would return! Must try!

    I went here after I saw a TikTok review. It's locatied in the Pearl City Industrial Park (in front of the Hawaii National Guard Armory). I wanted the Lechon, but it was sold out. I got the Kalbi plate instead. The plate lunch was good. Prices and portions were good also. Will go again the next time I'm in the area.

    Heard this place was good..and it did not disappoint at all. I came and ordered the Lechon plate. Let me say "kanakattack"after eating this plate. I ordered mine with rice and Mac..next time I think I will order it with just salad. Reason is I would use the vinegar mix they toss the lechon with as a dressing. My first impression when I saw the lechon was Korean style. There were red chili flakes with cilantro..but there was also onions and tomatoes which was different from what I'm used too. None the less..it was delicious. Food truck had two workers and service was fast..didn't wait that long since we went after lunch..lol. Will come back again for sure!!

    An absolute Hidden Gem located in the Pearl City Industrial Park is a Food Truck called GIAiLex which is named after the first few letters of the Owners Three Daughter's was someplace I had on my hit list for quite sometime now and all I have to say is what took me so darn long to come here. This Truck is located deep inside Pearl City Industrial Park parked right across the Aloha Shoyu Warehouse and after eating here, now I know why there is a crowd out here and I have to say they must have a lot of regular 's here because it's in an Industrial Area. The Menu here is very diverse and straightforward. You can choose from Grilled MahiMahi,Loco Moco,Garlic Shrimp,Baby Back Ribs and they had a Fried Chicken with Fried Noodles Special which sold out right as I arrived. But I had my heart set on the Lechon Kawali Plate and all I have to say is that I was just blown away. I ordered the Lechon Kawali with Pork Adobo Fried Rice and Mac Salad and let's just say I might have found my new spot to satisfy my Lechon Kawali Craving. The Plate was pretty darn heavy and they definitely don't skimp on portions here. The Lechon were cut in Nice Chunks and they were Thick,Crispy and Juicy and not dried out. They tossed the Lechon in some type of Sauce with Onions and Cherry Tomatoes which were Sliced in half and it was an Umami Bomb because there was no sauce needed for dipping. Even the Mac Salad was pretty darn good . As for the Pork Adobo Fried Rice, it was just ok for me but it was full of flavor and a nice touch and great compliment with the Lechon Kawali. But the star of the show was the Lechon because of its preparation and attention to detail. I was very impressed and I will definitely come back here for more Lechon Kawali when I have the chance to. I will say this, if you don't have patience this is not the place for you. But for me, having to know that every item is made to order shows me that it's gonna be made with high quality and to me it's worth waiting for. As for the owner, he seems like a very reserved type of guy who doesn't say much but he's always smiling and has a great attitude and is a hard worker. I give this guy props for pumping out this most amazing food. This is definitely a Hidden Gem and a place I will recommend for everyone to try at lesdt once and that Breakfast Menu has me gravitated to come here sooner than later. Mahalo GiAiLex Kitchen for an Amazing Lunch. That Lechon Kawali left me speechless.

    Was looking to check out someplace new to have lunch and my brother suggested this one lunchwagon called GiAilex Kitchen that is located in the Pearl City Industrial Park area. Says his daughter-in-law had eaten a meal served by this vendor when Jo Koy was performing in town at the Blaisdell Arena and strongly recommended their Lechon Kawali. I looked at Yelp and only saw this one review who so happened to be my brother's daughter in law. She's saying it's good, so heck ok ... let's go try it! Info says the lunch wagon parks just outside street side of the Hawaii National Guard Armory. Since the lunchwagon competes for parking like everybody else in the area, it may be parked either on the left side or on the right side as one enters the industrial area. As we drove by, we found parking availability to be hard to come by and so we turned around and found parking maybe a hundred yards past the truck. A nice stroll with nothing sketchy to watch out for in that area. There were no other customers as we came 'early' at about 10:40am to avoid the lunch rush and also to take into consideration how far we may have to park away from the lunchwagon. Looking at the menu for a few minutes and I finally decided on my choices. Didn't know it was a one-person operation until I stood front and center to start ordering. I chose to get two plate lunches because you know... if this is a jewel in the rough, best to get more than one plate if the food is really good not to miss! Decided on the Lechon Kawali plate ($15) and one of his lesser priced plate, the Hamburger Steak ($12). Somewhat unusual to see a menu that didn't serve the usual plate lunches like chicken katsu, shoyu chicken, teri beef plates, etc but appeared to have 'better' choice selections in local, Hawaiian and Filipino entrees. He was a quiet spoken man that didn't say much ---- perhaps because he had never served us before and perhaps would talk more to his established clientele in that area. Anyway my brother also ordered two plates, so he had to start working on our four plate lunches. What got me was choice options of sides to go with the entree such as fried rice and toss salad at no extra cost (besides the usual white rice and mac salad that comes standard on a plate lunch). I chose the fried rice and mac salad for the Lechon Kawali and white rice and toss salad for the Hamburger Steak plates. He uses pork belly for the lechon. It looked like he started to work on our Hamburger Steak and Pork Chops plates first before tackling the Lechon Kawali pkates that we both ordered. As he was cooking the foods, I asked him what GiAilex stood for? He said they were the first few letters of his three children so now you know... Close to fifteen minutes and he has completed all four plate lunches and each of our two plates are put inside plastic bags to carry. Saw that he puts the ranch (?) dressing on the toss salad before closing the lid. He takes cash or card... no service fee if you are using plastic which I appreciated. Tax is 4.17% (old school GET rate of 4.167%), a savings here instead of the 4.712% GET establishments on Oahu island can charge. He does catering too, even though it's not shown (but since my brother asked for a catering menu). Ask him and he will text the catering menu to your phone. Got home to eat portions of each plate lunch and was surprised to see the fried rice was pork adobo fried rice (geez, at no additional cost!). The Lechon Kawali was savory, flavorful and not overpowering. The Pork belly slices had a crisp skin, I wouldn't call it crisPY but crisp. His slices are cut larger like when buying roast pork from a Chinatown vendor. He uses cherry tomatoes and his culinary skills appear to be of a higher level than regular lunchwagons that serve local plate lunches Attractive presentations on both my plates! Some will like it that way while others may want it chopped smaller. I am guessing as this is a one-person operation, he is using his time efficiently. On the hamburger steak, these two hamburgers were homemade and lightly seasoned so you can taste the sliced shiitake mushrooms, sauteed onions and dark brown gravy that he also puts on the two scoops of rice (didn't have to say gravy all over!). What flavor and WHAT a bargain at just $12! The compostable fork, spoon and napkin come enclosed in a wrap so you won't lose any utensils. Some places are cheap and just hand you chop sticks for any of their plate lunches but not here! Though I would have liked the skin of the lechon a little more crunchiER, perhaps this is HIS interpretation of how it should be served. I respect that. I originally was going to give this review four stars rating but thought more about his way of thinking and have upgraded it to five stars! Well worth it! Hoping for more success--- he may need additional staff help when it comes SOON ! Brother and I are glad to have tried this place and plan on coming here again!

    I hear good things about this wagon..and it ain't a lie...ono food..got the fried chicken with noodles plate for $13..reasonable price..alot of flavor to fried chicken and noodles are bomb..perfect location for workers around the area to get them food.. both workers are very nice guys..area is very clean..take out only..

    First tried this place during Jo Koy's show and got their Pancit with Lechon kawali. I tried the Lechon and wow I think it's the best Lechon I've ever tasted! The skin was so crispy and the pork was tender. The tomatoes and onions were so full of flavor from the sauce they put on. I tried to find out where they were located and finally found them! I ordered another plate of the Lechon kawali. It wasn't cut the same as the one I got during Jo Koy's but the flavor was still there and the crispy skin!! Yummmm. The plate came with two sides and I chose salad and Mac salad. Both were delicious with the Lechon. Soooo good! I hope they stay in business for a long long time because I don't think I've ever tasted Lechon this good!! They are currently located at the Army national guard in Pearl city. Usually open Monday to Friday from 5am-1pm. They're in a blue food truck.

Since I was dining right there among the bench it didn't need to be separated and loved that it was served on a tray along with a side of kimchee yum the ramyun had a soft cooked egg and some carrots a nice and simple snack which gave me much needed boost though as it was basically no different than a bowl of instant noodle this was crazy overpriced and glad that I didn't get the soft tofu which was $13.50 which I didn't need that type of spice in my life. It was sure good to be back, and I am happy for their business to have its own place where customers can sit, not just takeout. They are now located near West Loch station by Mickey D's and Seafood City [the shops West Loch station). I live in Honolulu but it was sure worth it to take the rail to satisfy my sisig craving. I ordered their pork sisig with rice, and it sure was still delish! Pro tip for the business is using calamansi instead of lemon (but still good!). My order seems like it is for just one person but honestly, if you share it with another person, you'd still be satisfied because it is stomach-heavy! If you didn't have much to eat throughout the day, you could easily demolish the sisig dish I ordered. For drinks, they have canned sodas inside for $2.00 but I decided to get some smoothies at Hang's just doors down the place. As the parking spot may fill up, you can always drop a buddy off to pick up some to-go order. I have yet to try some of their other dishes such as their beef pares noodles. So--if you are craving ramen--try switching it up and get some of their noodles! I also recommend getting bulk orders for parties! Mahalo and I hope this business continues to reap success!

We were spoiled to the max! The owners and their family run the place and in true Filipino hospitality, they served us buffet/family style and entertained us with their stories from their humble beginnings to what they are today. The food was the best I've had in the Island. Hands down. Everything tasted nostalgic because the technique used in cooking each dish tasted like a handed down recipe from a grandma's kitchen from back home in the motherland. If you're ever in the island of Oahu please make your way to Waipahu and sample as much of their offerings as you can and I can guarantee you will not be disappointed! 10/10 recommended coming from a humble cook who rarely raves about Filipino food because I myself learned from my paternal grandmother.

They have everything from bbq sticks, adobo, lechon, kilawan, lumpia and more. I got the bbq stick & chicken inasal plate. The bbq stick was packed with so much flavor! The chicken inasal was more on the huli huli side & was served with Filipino dipping sauce. They also offer free sabaw with your meal. Ordering was a little complicating, they have a menu outside with food and also more food inside. The bbq items were cooked by order and the inside food had more of the Filipino dishes like (adobo). But next to the cashier, you could also find other fried dishes as well. So a little complicated. You also have the option to sit outside under the tent or inside the restaurant with AC. For this type of place, if you're dining in, you order & eat first then pay. Like any karindera. Overall, this place was VERY good & SUPER AFFORDABLE. If you want to experience a true Filipino experience with great food, this place is for you.
