My first visit and I was very happy. I went to another Dr first and was told I needed 2k worth of work done root canal and crown. They didn't agree. Only a filling replaced and to use some sensadiine toothpaste that the root was fine. They could have easily agreed with the other dr and I would have paid 2k. Thank you for being honest and being in the best interest of my dental health. The doctor Ghozlan is a careless doctor does not explain the plan well but is only in and out and gets annoyed if you ask questions, and then only replies if "you're able to afford it" .... if you try to ask him more questions he acts like he's done seeing you and even if your in front of him he tell the assistant so she can tell you ..would really not recommend it don't waste your time here. They cancelled my appointment that same day that evening just for calling to ask a question. After 18 X-rays, needing a root canal and crown .. appt cancelled because "they have more patients needing to be seen".. but ... if you can't find another doctor "call us back they said" .... woww So, I got my root canal done 2 weeks ago by Dr. Nash on El Dorado .. he is a great doctor so patient and caring so profesional ...so different from that dr ghozlan. dr Ghozlan and his office are a waste of time read more

Office is really nice and most of the assistants are really friendly, but over all, WORST office ever. There is absolutely no communication between employees and the patients. They never let you know what they are doing to you. I went in for a tooth removal and got numbed for that BUT they also numbed me for a cavity filling they had already filled a week ago but no one bothered to update it on my records so I got numbed for no reason!!!!!!!!! I have 4 wisdom teeth visibly growing in my mouth all at once. All Dr. Ghozlan can prescribe me is IBUPROFEN 400mg?! I'm willing to have my head cut off with all this pain and swelling at this point. Worst place I've ever been to, the dentist messed up my root canal worst pain ever. He didn't numb me all the way and had pain for days.

I love this place the girls are really sweet! And the service is really fast! They always call a day before our appointment! And they always have fast openings! Sometimes even like the next day which is a super plus! If the dentist sees that he has time he does the fillings the same day and let's us know that way we don't have to come back another day, that's the type of customer service I love! read more

wish i could put no stars. this used to be my dentist. until they started charging for things that made no sense. it's been 6 years since my root canal. still no crown. my temporary fell off about a year ago. i try reaching out to make an appointment and they are rude over the phone. my last appointment here i had missed due to not being reminded & being at work. they charged me a 300$ fee for missing the appointment. since when does this happen? would never recommend this place to anyone. i would rather go to western dental then deal with the rudeness & immature attitude here read more

The staff was very nice but the doctor left me sitting there for near 45 minutes with zero communication and when he got there he said my teeth were fine but I should probably get braces which I felt was rude. And then they didn't scrape any plaque off my teeth or floss or anything. The cleaning was poorly done and I left feeling like my teeth still needed to be cleaned. I'm very unhappy with this dentist and wouldn't recommend them to anyone. Plus it was really out of my way to come here so it's really disappointing. I give this dental/Dr Ghozlan 5 stars. This Dr. is awesome! He pulled my wisdom tooth out in minutes, I had no pain or pressure what so ever. I definitely recommend this place. This place is a joke! They keep you on hold for about ten minutes and then proceed to hang up on you, this has happened to me numerous times. I have also had the VM cut me off and disconnect. I have left VMs and never received call backs. The way to actually be worked on can be anywhere from 1-1.5 hours. The assistants aren't the best at applying arch wires so you can be there with your mouth open for 30 minuets and leave with it not even properly centered. Making an appointment is a game of hot potato and they love to cancel and reschedule constantly, even if you express that there's an issue. Also it gets pricy, I know braces aren't cheap but they're asking close to 12,000. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. read more

Do not go here. I only gave him one star so I could write this otherwise no star or minus star . This guy hates americans or women. IDK but he absolutely should not be allowed to practice here. He is brutal and does not care about the amount of pain he causes. While he is causing the worse pain I have EVER known he is yelling at me saying, "You are making this hard on us." He is acting like he has never seen a tooth not respond to being numbed. And still trying to yank it out. When I went to him I told him my tooth hurt so bad that I could not even touch it without severe shooting pain. So He tried shooting me me with the numbing medicine but it did not work I felt everything. I didn't understand because that had never happened to me before. But when I finally got out of there after nearly fighting this guy. I read that it is common that when a tooth is infected it will not always respond to to being numbed. It is common when they put the needle in the wrong place too. Anyway he was very well aware of the those facts but wanted to pull it anyway instead of rescheduling my appointment allowing me to get the antibiotics working. Never in my life has anything hurt me like he did. I want to write letters and get this guy stopped. Dr. Ghozlan is probably a good dentist but he runs a cattle processing farm at this office. He started a procedure in me after sending me to an oral surgeon that cost me 1,100.00 then had me pre pay him for two crowns. I was there 5 1/2 hours the first day and then he told me to come back one more time to finish the temporary crown and then I get there and wait another hour. I saw his sign in sheet when I got there and he had already seen 49 people. After one more hour I got up to leave. He then came and talked to me and told me he would reschedule and give me his undivided attention next time. He then told me it would take two or three more appointments to finish my crowns. When I asked him why do you need five appointments for a crown he got indignant with me and told me just refund her money and send her somewhere else. At that point, I got a partial refund and left. Now I have two teeth in serious condition. I would highly recommend anyone to find someone else who provides affordable dentistry. read more

I had multiple appointments here and had quite a bit of work done. The staff is super friendly and the other dentist in the office that does fillings is great. However, Dr Ghozlan himself is rude, unsympathetic and was very cocky and arrogant towards me when i tried to talk to him about his unprofessional behavior. I had a tooth pulled in October by Dr Ghozlan and it was the most painful, horrific dental experience I've ever had. There were several pieces of bone that festered up and out of the hole where he pulled the tooth. This is normal when you have a large molar pulled, but instead of listening to me and taking the time to find out why i was in so much pain like a nice sympathetic dentist would, Dr Ghozlan told me he had no idea why i was in so much pain and "that it shouldn't hurt that bad". Later that week, i pulled 5 large pieces of bone out of my gums myself with tweezers in my bathroom.. i havent had any pain sense. read more

I was skeptical about all the Yelp reviews to this place. Let me tell you first hand they are all right. I went in today for excruciating tooth pains. Like, I want to die so bad just so the pain will go away type of pain. Dr. Ghozlan said I needed a OBGYN note before he could prescribe me anything. And that when I got the okay he would prescribe me pain meds. So I went back to Stockton to get a okay from my OB came all the way back to lodi and asked to speak to Dr. Ghozlan personally I was told that I wasn't going to be able to speak with him. So the front desk lady gave the note to him. The lady told me he wasn't going to give me any strong pain meds for my horrible tooth ache. And that she would give me Motrin instead. Even though my OB note stated that I was able to have strong medication. So she said okay your Motrin is being sent to the pharmacy. My mom called Dr. Ghozlan one more time to confirm the reason why I wasn't given any pain meds that I was in need of and come to find out THE LADY NEVER EVEN SENT MOTRIN TO THE PHARMACY LIKE SHE STATED SHE WOULD!! SO I HAVE TO SIT HERE AND CRY MY EYES OUT OVER THIS PAIN THAT KEEPS WORSENING!! read more

I first visited this dentist in February while waiting for authorization never receiving a phone call I called him in April was told my authorization was denied had to come back in and do more X-rays I came back in in April was told they would put a rush on it in July I started calling him again they told me they had got something were checking on they'd call me back no call back i called few more times to be told the same thing finally I called my providers Insurance I was told they have never received anything regarding an authorization for any work I waited since February to July being told they sent it off and it has was never done in February I informed the dentist I had my sons wedding in August is assured me work would be done well as of July have not even sent in an authorization to my insurance !! very disappointed in this dentist and the office 5 months of being mislead , lied to and wasting my time.. read more

If I could give a zero, or better yet, minus zero I definitely would. I haven't gone to Dr. Ghozlan as a patient, (and after meeting with him, I would never!) but I have spoken to him from a business standpoint. This was the most disrespectful, rude and verbally abusive man I have ever confronted in a public setting. In my attempt to reason with him and ask him questions, he yelled at me, and even threatened to call the police to have me removed from his office... (all of this in front of his office staff and patients waiting in his waiting room) ...a man who has nothing to hide doesn't usually become that agitated from a few questions regarding payroll. Oh, by the way, I am a 75 year old mother and grandmother who is liked and well respected and have worked my entire life, and still am employed. NO, I wasn't discussing employment with him for myself, but a family member who was hired, promoted, and fired all within 4 days (she was 'let go' supposedly because the Dr. was told office 'gossip' and he told her she had to go). THEN he followed her outside and called her back into the office saying he'd give her another chance and offered a contract to remain if she would sign agreeing if she broke the contract she would have to pay him a large amount of money. She said she wasn't signing any such thing and left. Two days later, she was understandably uncomfortable, so I went with her to pick up her paycheck. He gave her the final 'paycheck' with no stub or breakdown as to hours, deductions, etc. That's what we were asking for and were told he "didn't have to provide a paycheck stub" which is where I disagreed and was asked to leave. I left and he took her back into the office and told her he was glad he let her go. But, he did finally give her a breakdown of her hours represented by the check. However, there were no deductions taken, which didn't surprise me as she was never asked to complete a W-4 when she was hired. We also had to check with the bank prior to cashing this check because another employee (who he also let go the following day) was told by her bank that there wasn't funds to cover her paycheck. So, just my opinion, if you want to have dental work done, I guess you may be okay based on other comments I've read here, even that is questionable. But.....I sure wouldn't trust this man as a prospective employer. read more

I started my dental work in march had 8teeth extracted was already missing 3 but had a flipper...(insurance paid for extractions)he was suppose to put a rush on a temporary for the upper took 4 weeks...and it is hideous, I told him the gum color doesn't match the tooth color or size doesn't match and it is overall to big...his reply was this and his exact words...it doesn't matter it's just a temporary...I was given a quote of $3200 for upper and lower partials...like a fool I paid him $1600 upfront...but decided I did not want to continue doing business...asked for a refund since nothing but a temporary had been made which again is hideous...was told NO I HAVE TO CONTINUE SINCE THEY STARTED MY TREATMENT...IT'S now the end of June the temporary has caused a huge over bight and I have gaps between my teeth and they are getting crooked due to the missing teeth... $800 was cash $800 care credit I filed an appeal with care credit but it can take up to 60 days...ON top of all that he usually has so many patients the waot time os an hour...so in the meantime he has my money has not provided any service for that money and I have been without teeth since march!!! Dr. Ghozlan's office seemed really nice at first. He has a great office and great staff, but he is a terrible dentist that is only after the most money he can make. We did x-rays and he reviewed them and stated "your mouth is terrible", making me feel shamed for going to the dentist at all. He did a quick cleaning which hurt my gums terribly. When we got to the main reason I made an appointment, a filling that had fallen out, he proceeded to tell me I needed a $1000 crown and he wouldn't even try to fill it for me. I applied for the care credit thinking this was my only option, and when I was denied he refused to help me after that because I refused to do what was necessary to help myself. I left in tear. Luckily for me I found an amazing dentist in Galt to fix my tooth, Dr. Hilder. Dr. Hilder was able to do a filling and informed me i didn't need a crown. My first experience wasn't great. Having a tooth pulled wasn't good. When giving me the shots he did something wrong and it hurt so bad I lunged up out of chair. Instead of stopping he pushed me back down and so I was ok. Well I wasn't and that one shot hurt for 2 weeks worse than the tooth being removed. That also leads me to the fact that he wouldn't prescribe anything for the pain and I did ask for it. He stated if anything happens to go to emergency. That was about 6 months ago. Recently I had another tooth that we already knew needed to be pulled start hurting. I went to see him cause I didn't have another dentist that takes medi-cal. He did x-ray and said I needed to go to Western Dental which he already knew I wont go there. I said I knew of an oral surgeon in Merced that took 'Medi-cal. Then he said "well I can do it". OK I told i'm confused you or can't do it. He said he could help me out. So I said ok go ahead and do it. Then he said no I can't do. AT that point I became frustrated and told him I'll go to western dental, just give me something for the pain for a couple days so I can make to Western Dental. He said no I don't give pain meds. Then added I only give then after you get your tooth pulled. I said no you pulled my tooth and you didn't prescribe any pain med. He looked like a deer caught in the headlights he couldn't say anything. I got up out of chair and said you just don't care about your patients. I left the office and will never go back. My dad also went to get his teeth cleaned there and said he wasn't a good dentist but he was cheep. I really had no idea how bad he really was. Do yourself a favor and don't go there in the first place. I would like to note that he does have a really good staff but Gozlan is a jerk. read more

after our visit today, i asked dr. ghozlan for the information to file a complaint license # etc and he became very defensive rather than asking me why or to resolve the issue and apologize for his unwillingness to help us in with our dental emergency. i was holding my daughters hand as he began to tell me to leave when i had better behavior (like i was a child) only because i asked for this information? i didn't say or do anything threatening. he then told the office assistants to call 911. i was entirely confused because there was no crime? he then told the front desk to not give me the referral i needed for my daughters dental emergency. i was in shock at this point. you must know that doctors take an oath to help their patients. you have rights and can contact the dental board. as i walked out, i said " that was awful". he said you are stupid! do not go to this office. doctor ghozlan did not consider his behavior in front of my child and scared her. my daughter is somewhat verbal and said "he was scary mommy". i hope you never experience this behavior from him if you decide to still go there after reading this. i never did anything for him to tell me to leave the office. it is my choice whether i choose him as my daughter general dentist and if i want to file a formal complaint, that is also my right as a consumer. he has no idea why i wanted to make a complaint. i intend on moving forward with lodi police on the incident report and filed a complaint at: https://www.breeze.ca.gov/datamart/complaint.you can call to obtain the license information with the address only, at: (916) 263-2300. read more
