    This dentist is not recommended!Hes known to start procedures and doesn't finish them tells patient he can't go on! He's very rude!!

    Terrible. Bad. Stay away. Have had an infection since my surgery last year!!! I will never return.

They made an appointment for me on Thursday (12/23/22). Their office called me on Tuesday and told me "they had a cancelation" for Wednesday morning and "since I was in a lot of pain" they wanted to move my appoint up one day. I accepted. Once I arrive on Wednesday morning, filled out all the forms and got an Xray, they then let me know they only had a time to do ONE of my root canals, not BOTH as previously scheduled. They told me I would have to come back AFTER January 3rd for the second one! I told them no, I would rather go back to my Thursday afternoon appointment and get BOTH root canals done as previously scheduled. They refused. As I left without ANY work being done, they gave me an invoice for $437!! These guys are crooks and liars. STAY AWAY and deal with an honorable operation, not these guys!

We came here for my husband to get a root canal done, they greeted us nicely and answered all of our questions before they took my husband to start treatment. While we waited the front desk ladies were super friendly with our 4 year old daughter and even offered for her to look into their toy box! She loved it. To top it off our daughter wanted to check on her daddy a few times and each time everyone was super supportive and sweet! Overall the best, most friendly and professional dentist office we ever visited! Definitely recommending them to everyone!

Dr Suzuki needs to take responsibility for discussing sedation options with extraction patients well before they make it to his chair. I drove a long way to have a molar extraction done and left knowing that I am not viewed as an individual with individual needs. In the first stages of having a fixed bridge created, I was expected to be awake for a molar extraction that turned out not only to be loud but also difficult; three roots had calcified to the bone, and they were pried back and forth, back and forth out of my head. I heard Every. Awful. Cracking sound and felt wave after wave of nausea from the intense pressure across my upper jaw. There was zero conversation about nitrous oxide prior to his just getting 'er done via local numbing -- only a curt ultimatum: I could drive all the way back to Berkeley and return another day if I wanted anaesthesia, or I could lay back and take it. He didn't hesitate to tell me the post-mauling details afterward while I sat there stunned. Why would I want to hear the gory details after I'd expected to have them mercifully blunted by lack of consciousness? No. This is not the 1800s.

    I was so happy to have found Dr. Susana Ung. She is gentle and very professional. I had struggled…read morewith anxiety all my life and the fear I had to dentists prevented me from going on a regular base. This 5 star review is only because Dr. Ung is amazing. Carolina and Monse, the assistants who assisted her on my treatments, are amazing. Her Hygienist is a great guy that chats with you and makes you feel welcome and comfortable. As for the front desk crew, my experience was negative and full of lies. For my first visit on May 12th, 2021 Dr. Ung knew my fear and anxiety and prescribed me a medication to help me be calm. Even do her front desk lady, not Jessica but the other one, said she had sent the prescription to Target, it was not available. I got there super anxious and worried but Dr. Ung and Monse were amazing! Of course I was able to get the medication after my appointment when it was finally sent to target pharmacy. De.Ung, Carolina, Monse and the hygienist are super professional and I personally would love to continue my and my family's treatment there. Unfortunately my negative experience with the front office lady is just too much. I never got a response on what my two insurance coverage would be, what my copayment were going to be ahead of time because, she always claims she had not received a response from the insurance. Not even for my youngest son fillings we got the co-pay amount ahead of time.. aren't dentist offices supposed to give you some information or an estimate right there on your first 2 visits? I mean, what if I don't have the $ to pay for a filling.. just because I have signed documents stating I'm responsible for any financial portion my insurance won't cover, it doesn't mean I have to go in blindly without knowing if I will be able to afford the procedure! Same thing happened when one of my sons needed the pre-authorization for his braces..I had to call my insurance and get them the documents they needed because this lady had not submitted things according... it seemed she had no interest in getting a patient the braces he needed! In my case, I'm still waiting for the actual numbers. I only got estimates from her... and that was on my last visit when I couldn't get my tooth prepped for a crown..since I had no idea what the insurance would cover and what my cost would be..she came in with an estimate of cost after having weeks to request and submit what the insurance needed, I still had nothing. After months, she still "couldn't" obtain a response from my insurance. Funny thing is, that while at the office on my last visit, while waiting for my you youngest son, I called the insurance, they told me they were missing several documents, they had pending claims due to lack of documentation and gave me a list of documents needed. I gave the list to this lady and almost two weeks later, I still have no response and no information. They claim they are short staff..but to me and based on my experience, this is just someone who cannot get the job done on a timely manner. Is unfortunate that I had finally found a great dentist with whom I felt comfortable and who I trusted and now my family and I, have to stop being her patients due to the lack of professionalism and dedication of one person. I'll attach pictures of text messages exchanged so that ppl can see, how their response changed and how urgent things seemed once I told them I was going to reach out to Dr. Ung. Sorry. But this is my awful experience with someone at your office. I know this does not reflect in any way your professionalism and amazing skill with your patients. Thank you, Dr. Susana for making me feel at ease every time you were working on my teeth and I'm sorry but you need to know before you loose more patients.
