Ghosts & Gravestones - Historical Tours Near Me - St. Augustine, Florida

We loved all the history facts and the way it was told. Not too scary for kids. Great way to see the city and some of the spots you may want to see more later like the old jail. read more

Mic broke 10 minutes in to tour. Couldn't hear over engine noise. Waste of money Do not bother read more

I wasn't expecting much, given the other ghost tours I've been on in other old cities, but the Ghosts and Gravestones Tour put on a great show! Darren was a super host, and told the stories in a fun and engaging way. The prison guide was had a terrifying presence, and was the highlight of the tour for me. I recommend this tour for a fun night of history and spooky half truths--though a few parts might be too scary for littles. Oh! And I caught a "ghost" on camera! Woohoo! read more

I was very disappointed with this tour. The guide seemed to be nice and trying hard to keep us entertained. He told us several cheesy ghost stories and even some trivia to kill time while we were stuck in terrible bumper to bumper traffic. The trolley left late as it was delayed by traffic. We did not make one stop or get off of the trolley at any time. We were told a story about each point of interest while slowly driving in front of the "haunted" places. The "windows" were made of soft plastic and it was impossible to get any decent pictures. Especially seeing as we barely even made a complete stop at any of the locations. It was not scary at all and it was barely entertaining. I was expecting to at least get out of the trolley and get a look at the places we were hearing about. An open window for a better view or better picture taking would've also been nice. It was a complete waste of time and money. Would not recommend. Next time I will take a walking tour instead. read more

First off, AMAZING guide. Great sense of humor and attitude. Rolled with the punches that the streets of St Augustine dish out. For the 3 stars, eh, I was hoping for more. Just a slightly different trek than taken on the daytime trolly tour. I would suggest a walking tour instead. If the guide we had did a walking tour it'd be 5 stars easily. read more

This was our second time taking this tour. It was a different experience than last time, as we actually went inside a couple buildings (the old pharmacy and jailhouse). Our Ghost Host, Luna, and driver/inmate, Captain D, were excellent guides. We definitely recommend this tour. read more

We were late to the tour and the graciously let us go on the next tour! It was drizzling out and there was some thunder so it added to the tour. The tour was fun! I think instead of driving the same block twice, they could have gone on another street, but not a huge deal. The actors at the wax museum and jail were great! Belle and Dangerous Deb played their part well. We didn't catch any orbs in our picture. Maybe next time. read more

My fiancé and I had a blast. Our host was very knowledgeable along with others involved. The jail was our favorite part.

The tour and the tour guides were really really good but I am rating this 3 stars because the price. We bought a package for the tour along with the trolly ride for $75 a person in downtown St Augustine. The ticket per person for this tour was about $40-$50 which I did not think it was worth it. I wish it was a little less. The tour takes you to the graveyard which was pretty cool while the tour guide tells a few ghost stories. Then you are off to visit Potters but inside everything is covered up and they lead you to a backroom and tell another story. I was not too impressed with this stop. Last you visit the old jail which was pretty cool and was worth while. read more

After reading several reviews, I was just a little leary, but since I really wanted to do stuff, I sprang for the tix....DID NOT DISSAPOINT !. Some ppl coomplained that it was hot...it was only hot while the bus was stopped, which was rarely.... any time it moved, the breeze was gentle and cool...I do recommend you sit right behind the wheels, it's probably the best seat. Some ppl also said it seemed "hokey" ...my response to that is if it was only a moving history lesson, most ppl wouldn't like it. I personally loved the character storytellers that came to life mid journey.. I recommend signing up to get the discounts...my tix cost $20 each (adult). read more

Mike and Dirty Debbie did a great job in leading the tour . The actors involved were phenomenal. Keep in mind that this is not a paranormal tour per se. But you get good acting and story telling. I truly enjoyed this experience. read more

My mother, sister and I went on the 930pm tour over the weekend. My mom had booked weeks in advance and when she called to confirm the time we needed to meet, they couldn't find her reservation. After 20 min, they finally found it and said she was good to go and to show up 15 min prior. When we got there, they couldn't not find her reservation, again. They had to look through all their files for the week and eventually after 10 min, they found it. Our tour guide, Nova, was great. She was fun and spirited and seemed to enjoy what she did. The stories were interesting and the stops were fun. However, we didn't get to go inside the jail as I've seen some of the other tours do. Not sure if that was because it was late or because of covid. We also didn't get to stop/talk about the wax museum or drug store. Overall, we did the jail, one of the cemeteries (we got to get out of the trolly) and the Castillo (also got to get out but didn't get to get close). read more

It's not pg-13, it's very cheesy! kinda boring if you're over the age of 18, but it's still cute and some cool bits of history are included, again it's wayyyy more kid friendly than spooky, evidently they do an after dark tour 12-2am where they take you to the old jail to use ghost equipment. read more

This tour was phenomenal. The customer service is outstanding. The drive her, the storyteller, and the staff inside the information building are all accommodating. This is the tour to go on! read more

While I see many reviews mention that the tour wasn't intriguing enough, my friend and I had a great time touring St Augustine in a trolley as the sunset was coming down hearing the spooky stories of this little town. Our amazing tour guide was so professional in how she conveyed stories - a true gem! While we did not see any paranormal activities, that was not our main goal going on the tour - so we were not disappointed at all. read more

Probably my least favorite ghost tour I've done. Seemed very rushed, the story teller seemed real flat, and the stories told was nothing interesting. Wouldn't recommend. read more

Had a wonderful time! Highly recommend!! Our cast was Cassandra and Jessie! Both made the tour an enjoyable experience! Talented actors

Had a great time tonight! They had a vast history and honestly it was a little scary. But all around a good family experience. The wax museum on the tour, and the old jail were definitely the highlights. Perks of tonight we had great staff, annity and Noah did really good to make it all more realistic! 10/10 recommend! read more

Violet, our Ghost Host, was fantastic! Informative, engaging, humorous and knowledgeable. This type of event is not typically "my thing," but Violet made the event so enjoyable I later told a few other friends about the experience and see myself participating in more of these types of tours and events. The 8:00 tour during October, made it a little more fun. I learned so much that night and wonder what other historical events of St. Augustine are left to learn. 10/7/22 read more

This place was entertaining and the trolley ride was fun! I don't get why people only rate this 1 star. Honestly this was a good experience m, worth every single penny. It may not be as scary as expected, but I promise you you'll have a good experience. read more

My husband and I had an awesome time on the Ghost and Gravestone tour. Our ghost host Dana was knowledgeable and made the tour interesting and fun. Jersey our driver was kind and helped guest on and off the trolley. As part of the tour we went to Potter's Wax Museum and the Old Jail. The executioner and Ghost Jessie added to the overall experience. If you are looking for a fun and immersive experience this is the tour to choose. Thank you Dana for a great ride. read more

We had a great time, totally different from the other ghost walks we've done. Fawn and Chuckles were great, and the actor (sorry, forgot his name) in the jail did an awesome job. You'll definitely be getting recommendations from us. Thank you all for a fun evening. read more

The tour guide and driver were funny but didnt really see anything. I wouldnt recommend this tour if you really want to see a ghost.

The ghost tour bus did take us to several locations; the graveyard, wax museum/old pharmacy store, and the old jail. The stories told while riding the bus were interesting yet comical. The graveyard we couldn't walk on, just watch from a distance which bummed me out. The pharmacy story and wax museum story were ok. It was getting warm at the museum. The old jail was the scariest to see at night and the most creative narrative. Overall, I gave it a 3 cause I thought it was going to be scarier, some fog could have been added, some more actors... For the price we paid, I expected more... :/ read more

I was very disappointed, the people on the bus were extremely loud and a bit drunk, when we asked for the tour guide to turn up the volume she did but out was still difficult to hear. Couldn't take any pictures because depending on where you were sitting your view wss obstructed. I wouldn't recommend this to and was just as upset that the hotel recommended it. read more

This is not the first time we've done this tour...but the first time since the pandemic started. Frankly - we were disappointed. Prior to the pandemic, there were stops where guests went into the old wax museum and the old jail and actors added to the stories and it was lots of fun. Now - you're pretty much on the bus unless you get out and stand outside to listen to ghost stories. Would not do again or recommend. That being said - the bus was very clean, sanitized between runs, and masks required. We felt very safe. read more

This tour was okay. Our driver was nice and our ghost guide was great. The actors along the way were fun and entertaining, but the screaming children on the 10pm tour were obnoxious. I think making specific tours age 12 and up, etc. would be helpful. The trolley was hot and the screaming babies didn't help. It was okay, I probably wouldn't do it again. read more

This tour is very overpriced for what it is. My guide was not entertaining and not good with crowds. She spoke so low you could barely hear her and her story telling skills were not the best. There were technical malfunctions on the bus while they were supposed to be playing a ghost audio file, and they were busy talking about the police sirens and a car accident by our bus instead of focusing on the stories. We went to a cemetery at first and were all awkwardly huddled by the gates because they would not even let us inside and no one could hear the woman's story. Then we went to a very short walk through the medicine store and old wax museum where most of the figures were draped so we couldn't even view them. We were in there maybe 15 minutes and everyone was incredibly bored. We then went to the old jail where we heard a few stories and everyone was genuinely bored out of their minds. They say they have a 100% money back guarantee and I have emailed them and have yet to receive a refund or response. Extremely disappointing tour, save your money and go with a different company. This was a complete waste of time. read more

we usually do ghosts tour when we go on vacation. The last ghost tour we did was in key west, which was awesome. This one was a bit disappointing. The narrator was a little boring and tour wasn't fun. we found this tour to be of little value for the price paid. read more

The cast really amplified the experience, specifically Phoebe, Caleb, Amanda, and Chuckles. I will be returning with more guests!

We had a lot of fun on this casual tour of the city. We try to do ghost tours wherever we visit to learn local history, and this definitely had a lot of that tied into ghost stories. The host and driver were great and we had a wonderful time! read more

As my first ghost tour, I didn't know what to expect going into this. We did a 9:30 tour, so it was plenty dark - and I highly suggest you wait til dark. It was interesting to learn all the creepy things about St. Augustine! We did go into the wax museum & stood near one of the graveyards while we heard the stories. Our guide Nova MADE the whole tour. Their enthusiasm, sarcasm, & attention to details made for a wonderful experience! read more

Ive been on several ghost tours. This was my first in St. Augustine and the worst tour I have ever been on. Our narrator was easily distracted and it was like she forgot what she was talking about in the middle of her sentence. It was honestly hard to follow her stories. It was a lot of mediocre theatrics that just were not good. The storyteller at the Old jail was the highlight of this trip. He was funny and engaging. I thought this was a waste of money! This tour stated that they were number 1 on Trip Advisor, but I don't know how. This was the real mystery on this tour!! read more
