    The Goblin and the Unicorn
    Arlene E.

OH MY WORD! We tried this place at the 805 night market and my god the wait was insane but so worth it!! We got the goblin corn dog which was fried diced potatoes with either a spicy mayo or mustard and bbq sauce. It was sooo freaking good!! My husbands absolute fave! Very flavorful! And filling! The hot dog was big and beefy and the batter was perfect and potatoes crispy !! We also got the unicorn cheese stick. It was sweet and savory at the same time, it was good but not my favorite but my son absolutely loved the cheese colors being different ! And the touch of sprinkles and sugar taste. He keeps asking when we're going back. He was a unicorn colored theme of melted cheesey goodness! Can't wait to see them again to try the other flavors !

Visited Ghostix at the 626 Night Market and it was absolutely worth it. From the moment you enter the grounds, you could smell the aroma and see the crowds flocking the stands. We were so hungry and went to the quickest line we could find. Ghostix was the perfect find. The vibrant ambiance of the mountains, and constant chatter from the attendees immediately fascinated us. What set Ghostix apart was its kind and quick service. Despite the longer than usual wait times, the staff were efficient and friendly. It was our first time having the food, so we opted for the Casper. It was delicious. The cheese pull we had was optimal. Would for sure recommend to anyone seeking this experience. Enjoy

    Potato Goblin Korean Corndog

My friend and I stumbled upon this cute little Korean Corn Dog stand while at San Diego Pride, I love me a good Korean Corn Dog; however, back home in Coastal Virginia there aren't too many places that offer them, so I was excited to try one here. They had a few different varieties to choose from (some of which were sold out at the time of our visit), all based on little cartoon monsters, which I thought was super cute. I got the diced potato goblin and it was pretty delicious. My only complaint is that its size made it a bit awkward to eat, but other than that I really like the concept that Ghostix has going on and I would try another corn dog from there if given the opportunity. I have my eyes on their dessert churro corn dog since it was one of the sold-out ones during my visit.

This fell a bit flat for me. I tried ghostix at foodieland and was sooooo excited beforehand. I kept telling everyone how I wanted a Korean corn dog but this just didn't hit for me. I got the Casper and it took them forever to get it out because they didn't tell me that the cheese had a longer wait. When I got it, it was luke warm to the point where there wasn't much of a cheese pull. It was also way sweeter than I thought it should be! Probably would give the meat ones a try, maybe I just ordered wrong!

    Lucifer. Hot cheetos crumbs.

I found their stand on the Eastvale Lantern Festival and tried the lucifer... because of all that hot Cheetos crumbs. I mean look at that! (See pic.) Lol The price is somewhat pricey for a corn dog. But. It is a specialty com dog, right? Haha, it was good though, they quickly made the corn dog right after we ordered. The hot Cheetos crumbs coat the corn dog all the way through. They weren't stingy with it which I love! And they top it off with mayo-based sauce. The only thing that I wasn't expecting was how sweet it was. I guess they used some sort of honey concoction to coat the corn dog so that those hot Cheetos crumbs will stay on properly. I mean it's not bad, but since it's called Lucifer and seeing how red the corn dog was with all those crumbs, I expected more of a kick when it comes to the spice level.

I had Ghostix at 626 night market (in OC) and this was the best thing I ate all night! Not only is the booth cute and the menu is easy to read, but they also give you free sticker(s) with each purchase. We came at 5:30 PM on Sunday evening, and there was no line (to our surprise) and the orders came out almost immediately. PRICES: All the corn dogs are the same price ($12) LUCIFER: It is coated in hot Cheetos and mayo, no cheese inside the corn dog, and thick batter. It's not spicy at all, and comes with a pepperoni on the side Wish I had more room in my stomach to try another flavor :)

I was able to try Ghostix at the 626 night market in NorCal and I am such a fan. I had previously seen a crazy long line for them so I figured there was a reason...when I finally tried their food I understood. Their food is freshly cooked, so hot and crispy, so tasty and super pretty to look at haha I'm such a fan and looking forward to trying all the other ghosts I didn't get to try yet! I'm drooling thinking about them ugh! Need more!

I look forward to 805 Night Market every year so that I can grab up one of these yummy Korean corn dogs! The goblin dog is absolutely delicious, with the rice batter and fried potatoes on the outside. The sauce is a little spicy but totally yummy!

Seen you at the Riverside Lunar festival. I was #91 on Sunday. You kept calling #81 but missed me but I think you probably meant me because I think #81 got the same thing I did. Tried the potato crunch hot dog. This was a new found love for hotdogs, I really liked it. I love hotdogs especially street dogs in downtown. You both did a good job keeping up with your popularity here. Hope to catch you again at another event. Much success and best to you in the New "Tiger" Year

Had this at the 626 night market recently. I got the goblin one which has potato on the corn dog. As most people know, the 626 night market is pretty crowded and be prepared to wait in line for your food. The line to order at ghostix wasn't too bad, but waiting for your food took about 45 minutes - 1 hour. So I just walked around to see what else to eat and by the time I came back, it was ready. I would give this a 6/10. I didn't like that the batter was super thick. I ended up just getting full from eating the batter. However, it was fried well enough. It was crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. It also had sugar coated on the outside of the batter. The hotdog was good quality. Although it was not my cup of tea, it still tasted alright. It was one of those things that I just had to try but would I get it again? Probably not.

They like their savory food strictly savory. But this time, I didn't compromise. I went all in on the sweet combo: tteokbokki with honey butter chicken. Truly a match made in heaven. The tteokbokki delivers that perfect balance of heat and sweetness, with the sauce clinging beautifully to each chewy rice cake. Every bite is bold, glossy, and deeply satisfying. The pickled radish on the side adds just the right touch of brightness, cutting through the richness and refreshing your palate between bites. And the honey butter chicken? It arrives hot and audibly crunchy, each piece generously coated in that addictive sweet-savory seasoning. Crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and dangerously easy to keep reaching for. This combo hits every note--spicy, sweet, crunchy, chewy, rich, and refreshing. Easily a five-star experience.

We came around 6pm and it changed for dine in option, a server was available this time to give us menus, take our orders at the table and provided banchan (side dishes) for us as well as water. There was a few other tables with us and the place still looks the same. I also noticed a QR code on the table which we didn't use but may be to help streamline ordering in case a server was too busy. The banchan is refillable upon request which we did ask and it was received! I am super happy to see fishcake, picked radish cubes, kimchi, and stir fried julienne potato. Here is what we got: An order of two boneless fired chicken (bulgogi and onion sauce, $3.50 extra for onion and it was worth it in my opinion!). Onion sauce was a nice creamy mild sauce over the chicken and slightly cooling effect to counter the spicy army stew. The bulgogi sauce was slightly spicy and sweet, since it was slightly spicy to my son, and he didn't want to try the onion one, we asked the server to add in a side of fries my son might not eat the chicken. The army stew spicy level cannot be modified and yes it was a little too spicy for me but I ate it well with chicken and fries. It came with a bowl of rice and fried egg on top. We didn't ask for more rice as there was plenty of food. I did enjoy the cheese covered spam slices, mini sausages, and fish cake in the stew, I didn't eat much of the noodles given how spicy it was. Once we finished eating we asked for a check and a to go box, the server was handling the tables by herself and was very attentive to us so she did a wonderful job. Overall, super happy I came back. We plan to com back to try their pancakes and tofu soup!

Honestly, there's not much competition in the area, so it's more about convenience versus driving farther for the absolute best, but Omma delivers consistently good quality that keeps me coming back. The bulgogi plate is a must-order when dining in. There's something special about that sizzling hot plate arriving at your table with the meat still bubbling and caramelizing. The banchan is standard fare with basic kimchi, nothing to speak home about but expected for standard Korean cruisine. What I appreciate most is how family-friendly this place is. The food court setting offers plenty of spacious seating, and parking in the lot is never an issue. I mostly do pickups and there's usually no wait time. I decided to try to go in person and order my usual bibimbap + seafood tofu soup. I remember extra banchan can be ordered but not sure about dine in. I ordered directly with the server who handed me a buzzer to wait for my order to be called. It took an around 10minutes for the food the be ready. I had two trays, one for soup and banchan and the other for bibimbap. You mix your bowl of rice (be careful since the bowl is metal and hot!) into the bibimbap bowl, add sauce (only spicy version they do not have nonspicy sauce!) and mix!! It has all sorts of veggies and meat bits and a fried egg. You can also add all the banchan in as well but we wanted to eat them separately with each bite. They gave us a raw egg (crack it in the soup asap if you don't want it runny!) which I cracked into the hot stone soup, be careful because the bowl is super hot!! I think someone melted our tray with is be fair because the tray was morphed as well. Soup was delicious, love the tiny shrimps, clams, and oyster pieces inside with plenty of tofu which I mixed into bibimbap as well. Banchan was 5 dishes! Potato's salad is new to me as I'm used to their kimchi, seaweed, bean sprouts and fish tofu dishes. All great! Enough food so I didn't ask if they give extra banchan or a price or free. Once we were done we returned the tray and bowls to the restaurant. Glad I tried this is person! Still amazing and worth the wait.
