Whether you believe the supernatural stalks the storied buildings of SA or not, you will leave wondering and having learned significantly more about this hundreds of years old city than when you began. Some will get to use an ekg meter and wonder if it is a coincidence that they all seem to become more active simultaneously and when you feel a sudden chill. Went on the 10:30 tour in July... it was steamy! There was a lady in our group that caught an image of an orb in the cemetery! It was fun and informational of the local dark history. One thing that was a little disappointing was that there were small children allowed on the tour. Several of the kids were scared and crying. Not cool in the parents party but maybe this was a one off IDK. Other wise it was fun and slightly spooky my scary (of the supernatural) husband even enjoyed it!! read more

We had a great time. The tour guide, Brent, was very cool, informative, and willing to do as much or as little as we wanted in the investigation. The guide gave us a run down on the history of the place, the spirits/stories they have experienced, and a run down on how to use all the equipment. All the equipment worked and was in good shape. We were followed by a zombie cat and saw the ghost of a depressed housewife searching aimlessly for her murderous husband throughout a rickety old manor. Came to St. Augustine for a weekend trip. We decided a ghost tour would be really cool, so we tried booking one for the weekend. I've done several in different state and am a big fan of heading some spooky history! All the tour sites I called were completely booked, but I managed to discover this one which had openings. Probably should have taken that as a sign. When we arrived, we discovered there were a total of four people on the tour (myself, my boyfriend and one other couple). The host was very friendly, but I think having a smaller group for this type of experience made it a little more awkward than spooky. On the bright side, it was neat to tour the area and get in some walking. The stories were ok, but it wasn't at all scary. The other groups we passed from other tour companies had guides that were dressed up and really enthusiastically telling stories . It looked fun and engaging. Our guide was pretty bland, didn't seem very excited to be on a tour, and made it feel more like we were following around a history teacher thats sick of telling the same stories. Also, the allure of this tour company was the fact that you would do ghost hunting and try to communicate with them. We spent about 40 minutes in an empty PARKING LOT waiting...which seemed very anticlimactic. They also mention you get to explore and try to find paranormal activity, but we found out we aren't allowed on any properties or in any homes. It was kind of embarrassing lurking around buildings that have no trespassing signs. The tour guide made it very clear that we weren't going into any buildings, however , I don't think it should be extra to 'paranormal hunt' on the sidewalks and parking lots. Overall, glad I had an activity to fill the night for a last minute trip. However, I wouldn't recommend it unless you're absolutely desperate. read more

We did the 75 minute walking tour and it took two hours. The lady was kind of rude when we checked in after we told her we had a Groupon. The tour was quite large, and sometimes hard to hear the guide. It was just some ghost stories, and walking around places were people were killed in the past. read more

we booked the night of lights tour and their booking process didn mention that children under six requires car seat. We waited for our tour and at the time of departure they said you can't go we four year old kid. They didn't give the service as well as didn't refund. They are not following the laws on their booking process as well. There were other tour service who allows kids under six without any issue in their EV tour. Book any other tour service except Gosht Augustine. They have worst customer service. read more

Note: This review and all accompanying photos and videos relate to my firsthand experiences with Ghost Augustine. If you've been following my paranormal adventures on Yelp, then you've noticed several videos featuring a curious music box labeled "PMB Poltertune." I purchased this device from a paranormal research group operating in St. Augustine, FL called Ghost Augustine. The group conducts paranormal investigations, gives ghost tours, and builds much of its own "ghost hunting" equipment, some of which they sell to the public through their online store. I'm always on the lookout for new means of communicating with the dead, but I'm also aware that many unscrupulous individuals are keen to exploit the public's interest in staged "paranormal" TV shows by creating and selling bogus spirit communication devices. I was initially skeptical of The Poltertune, but the more I researched the device, the more I began to perceive it as a potentially useful addition to my ever-growing arsenal of paranormal equipment. Having used the box on several investigations over the past month, I now consider the Poltertune to be an amazing trigger object and a reliable means of communication. The Poltertune is branded as a "paranormal music box" (hence the acronym "PMB") that chimes only when something corporeal (or incorporeal) moves within five feet of the sensor. Whenever I purchase a new piece of equipment, I spend a considerable amount of time attempting to debunk it or expose any potential flaws in the design that could lead to false positives. In the case of the Poltertune, I spent over an hour placing it atop various surfaces throughout my house. Without exception, the music box would chime only when I placed the sensor within five feet of a object or when I moved or waved my hand in front of the sensor. My first field investigation with the Poltertune occurred at one of my favorite active locations: Sisterdale Cemetery in Sisterdale, Texas. Prior to this investigation, I had visited the cemetery on numerous occasions and interacted with the gregarious, playful spirit of a man named Gene Dunbar. Over the last two years, Mr. Dunbar has communicated with me via an EMF meter and through several instrumental trans-communication (ITC) apps. Among other words and names, he has clearly enunciated his name, my name, and the phrase, "Been batting!", presumably in response to the blue baseball bat resting at the foot of his grave. I figured that if anyone would be willing to interact with my new toy, Mr. Dunbar would be the man! He didn't disappoint. Moments after I placed the Poltertune at the base of his grave, the music box began chiming. Whenever I would ask him to move away from the box, the music would stop. Whenever I would ask him to return, the music would resume. This back-and-forth exchange lasted nearly five minutes and blew my mind; Mr. Dunbar (or perhaps a different spirit nearby) was interacting with me in real time. A visit to nearby Boerne Cemetery a few weeks later yielded similarly impressive results. Over the last several years, I have visited this cemetery to speak with the spirit of a child named Julian who passed away at the age of four. His gravesite is scattered with toys, presumably ones with which he used to play, but he is fond of telling me the name of his favorite action figure: "R2." Julian has spoken the name "R2" (short for R2-D2) on five separate occasions and through various means (four different ITC apps and a hacked FM radio), validating to me that he remains behind in spirit. Given the playful nature of an interactive music box, I suspected that Julian (and possibly the spirits of other children located nearby) would find the Poltertune irresistible. My paranormal perspicacity paid off; the box began chiming shortly after I asked him to interact with it. Like Mr. Dunbar before him, he chimed the box only when asked and moved away only when asked. This interaction, too, lasted well over five minutes. I could cite numerous other examples of my experiences with the Poltertune, but seeing is believing. If you haven't already done so, please watch the video clips I have uploaded to this page, as they make for some of the most compelling evidence for life after death ever captured on video. As I have mentioned in other reviews, however, your mileage with spirit communication may vary; in my experience, only an infinitesimal number of people possess the ability to communicate with the dead, either through psychic abilities or via other means (ITC apps, spirit boxes, etc.). If, however, you possess this exceptional ability, then the Poltertune belongs in your collection. read more
