One of the things I love about BCWF is that no two workouts are ever the same, yet with every class I get a full body workout of cardio mixed with strength. I've seen them training school-aged and college athletes, soccer moms, pudgy dads, Spartan-racers and everything in between. I do "bootcamp" 5-6 times per week, which is a one-hour, high intensity butt-kicking that can include anything from chin-ups and pushups to tire-flipping and sledgehammers. And squats. Lots of squats. The workouts are flexible and scalable depending on the individual's needs, so a wide range of people can work out together. The trainers all do a great job of understanding the needs of the athletes, and keeping the workouts varied so it doesn't get boring or repetitive. There's great camaraderie among the boot camp crew, and we occasionally go to happy hour at the Riverside Inn, so there's that too.

Most frequent users prefer it on the hotter side. It was under 160 degrees this morning which is an improvement from 140 degrees last week so I increased the score. With consistency at 160 degrees or above I will continue to update my review positively. Obviously lower than 160 degrees will result in a lower score.

I don't see a lot of socializing like at some gyms I've been to. The women I see, young and old, lift like bros. That's awesome to see. The squat rack is almost always free and I don't feel uncomfortable stepping up while surrounded by dudes. I don't get stared at and people don't bother me. I love that they have childcare and they've extended the hours for the summer. One of the cons is there's no real designated area for your own free style work out. There's a stretch area with mats and some weights but if the mats are all taken there's not much room. The bootcamp area always has a class going on, at least when I'm there, so I cant use that. That leaves a narrow "walk way" between the free weights and bootcamp. There is another room I see empty sometimes; the room zumba classes are taken. Maybe I could use that room, I will have to ask. Another con is the water fountain looks grimmie. I'm not comfortable drinking from it. I think they close early on the weekends, wish they had longer hours. Aside from the cons, the only reason why I'm even able to go is because my fiancé has a membership and he can bring a guest for free so I am thankful for that.

Kevin seems to have a sixth sense ability to observe and identify small nuances (whether it be related to form/technique, relative weakness/strengths, energy levels) and makes real-time, personalized suggestions on appropriate adjustments and modifications that help me tremendously.
