Cycling studio. Lots of people for a weekday morning class.
Renato M.

I visited this location on a weekday morning for their cycling class and was positively surprised. First of all, this is one of the few north jersey LA Fitness locations that offer multiple spin classes on weekday mornings at 8:15am and 9:15am (check their website for full schedule). Also, the instructor was good and there were around 15 people which is good for a weekday morning class. Class started and ended on time. They offer the standard gym equipment and some of them seem to be pretty old including a couple broken ones so this definitely needs some improvement. There's plenty of parking since this gym is part of a huge shipping center. I didn't have to interact with any of their staff members and didn't use their lockers or pool facilities so I can't comment on that.

Stopped here for a quick yoga class while in the area. This gym is NICE...one of the signature clubs in the area! It is a 2-level gym, with tons of machines and workout areas. It also has racquetball and basketball courts, in addition to the swimming pool. Located in Raritan Road in Clark, a very busy area, in the same shopping center as Whole Foods. So plenty of parking all around. It was quite busy, but the staff and instructors were super nice and helpful. Would definitely stop in again if in the area.

I have fought to make sure I am here at least a few times a week, and I am grateful every time I am able to follow through for myself. Because of my erratic schedule, I am likely to show up at any class time which means that I have seen/experienced a number of different instructors for different class levels, and I have enjoyed each and every one. Every one has been kind and helpful and extremely patient. When you walk in, you are greeted at the door by whoever is working the desk for that shift. The vibe is relaxed and mellow and you just feel like you're in a safe space, which is so necessary sometimes. There are cubbies on the left to leave your personal belongings and shoes, and then you can enter into the actual studio. There are mats, blocks, towels, blankets, etc. for you to use so you never have to feel unprepared and you are always able to have a full experience. And if ever you cannot make it in person, they have virtual classes available, as well. Overall, thankful to having found this place and looking forward to utilizing my membership as much as I can. Only thing I will warn about is the parking. Sometimes, it can get crowded/tight, but there is plenty of street parking available in case you want to avoid that. Otherwise, I recommend you check it out and see what they have to offer. :)

A year ago, I walked into Emily's studio--M Pilates and Yoga--with unbearable sciatic, low back, and burning compensatory pain across my glutes. No joke, at times, I felt like giving up. Today--a year later--I walked into the studio with some improper form that needed tweaking. Emily and her team address use a holistic approach, incorporating yoga, resistance training, classical and reformer Pilates to not only relieve your symptoms but to identity and repair the root cause(s) of your pain. Emily seems to be on a mission to help you as if your body were her own. The empathy she has for her individual clients and their individual needs is unmatched. The work I put in at M Pilates and Yoga with Emily changed my life. I stopped physical therapy because I had so much success at her studio. This outrageous outpouring of cliches is deservedly and genuinely outrageous due to the transformation that my body has undergone. If you have sciatica, low back and/or piriformis syndrome as a result of chronic disk disease and after countless surgeries and procedures you may feel where I'm coming from. Try three sessions at M Pilates and Yoga and prove me wrong. Otherwise, thank you, Emily!

She was very nice and introduced me to other clients as they arrived. It felt very warm and welcoming. She shared a lot with me before scheduling and that was impress. Most places just see clients and dollar signs. The Studio is diverse with various rooms where they do different things. The class I took was small and the instructor (Lauren) was knowledgeable and paid close attention to ensure everyone was doing the movements safely and getting the benefit expected out of each movement. I have severe lower back issues and I walked out of there feeling great! I look forward to my next session and think I've found an acceptable method to help me help myself naturally and keeps me off of the operating table for now. Thanks again MOXIE! Double thumbs up!!

Very peaceful atmosphere and such great instructors. Definitely has helped me maintain peace of mind and it can be a good workout too! Debbie's warm sessions on Mondays are great if you're new or want to feel it out. If I get a friend to come for their first time, I usually tell them to take a warm class along with me. Melissa's Yummy Yoga sessions will keep you smiling, laughing and sweating (very yummy!). And Janice's sessions helped me focus on my breath so I can relax into poses that I didn't think I can do (or still working on doing lol). She gives a lot of individual attention as well to make sure you're practicing correctly to prevent any injury. Which is good because I'd be tumbling and falling all over the place without her direction. Can't wait to try out all the other classes. :) See that? Feel like I've said so much. Just gooo! Class: Hot Ashtanga Remix with Carmen…read more As a first-time HOT yoga experience, I'm glad we had Carmen as our instructor. She made it easy to engage with the class. Provided clear guidance and 1-1 instruction on adjustments when needed. Despite the heat wave outside, I somehow didn't keel over in the 100* heat. The class is really easy to get into, and your body will thank you for it after. After all the stretching, you get to cool down as Carmen comes around to place a cool towel on your head and to perform an adjustment to your neck and shoulders. And while I absolutely loved it, Carmen was clear to note that if anyone was uncomfortable with the adjustment, they could opt out without judgment. She definitely creates a very warm (literally), and welcoming space! Thank you so much for having us Carmen and I'm absolutely looking forward to coming back for another class soon! Just a couple tips: - Bring iced water (liquid iv IF you need), maybe a light snack for after! - Bring a small towel (you will sweat!!l - Seriously don't wear cotton!!! I found leggings, a sports bray, and a light cover were perfect! - Check your yoga mat to see if it works for Hot Yoga! If not, no worries, just grab a microfiber towel to lay down onto the mat once you really get sweating cause things can get slippery!! - Don't be afraid to use the support blocks for your knees if needed! It really helps you get the best stretch possible without injuring yourself in the process ;) - Finally, just have fun with it and try to get the most out of the class! Your body will seriously thank you after :)
