We had dinner at Swing Inn cafe & BBQ in Temecula and it went beyond and exceeded our…read moreexpectations--hands down the best BBQ we've ever had. Our server Andy--who is also the manager--took amazing care of us from start to finish. The service was friendly, attentive, and perfectly timed. Andy recommended the sausages as an appetizer, and let me tell you... we're still talking about how delicious they were. And the BBQ was even better: the brisket and burnt ends were incredibly tender--soft and practically falling apart, with tons of flavor. Big thank you to Andy for the great service and for making the trip totally worth it. We'll definitely be back!

I ordered the 2-meat combo platter with brisket and pork ribs, plus mac and cheese and beans. Unfortunately, the food was pretty underwhelming for the price. The brisket arrived dry and slightly oxidized-looking, with only two slices included. The ribs were overdone and mostly from the cartilage-heavy end of the rack. Flavor overall was decent, but nowhere near memorable. The mac and cheese was bland, the beans were okay, and even the pickles had an odd chemical taste to them. The service was genuinely great, which was the highlight of the experience, but at around $48 for the combo plate, the food quality just didn't justify the cost. For comparison, Heritage BBQ in San Juan Capistrano is in an entirely different league when it comes to quality and execution. This place felt much more geared toward tourists than serious BBQ fans.

We got three appetizers: fried pickles 8 out of 10; brisket Mac and cheese. 9 out of 10 but the portion is not worth the price. And the burnt ends 8 out of 10 but, again a lot of bread and not much Burnt ends. All in all a good meal and the service was outstanding.

We were greeted promptly upon entering and were seated right away in the bar area in a booth. Our server was nice, but lacked som initiative to refill our drinks. We ordered the 3 meat platter which included our choice of 3 meats, 2 sides, and 2 biscuits. For our meat we selected: - pork belly burnt ends - beef brisket - pulled pork The bbq was good, only complaint is it was served luke warm and therefore it got cold rather quickly. For our sides we had the Mac n Cheese and mashed potatoes. The Mac n Cheese tasted like boxed and not fresh so not our favorite. The biscuits were also luke warm and a bit hard. Not sure if their food sits for a while before it's served or not properly warmed as everything was served luke warm.

3.5 stars! We came…read morehere during the Greek Festival. It was dead. When we first came, we were the only people in the place. First, let me say that the service was great. She was attentive without being overbearing all while she was training someone new. The food was decent. I wouldn't say anything special. I got the Mac and cheese with pulled pork. My husband got the tri tip sandwich with onion rings. Apparently the onion rings were $3 extra charge and there was only 7 on the plate. Not impressed. We also got a beer and a Michelada. My husband asked for more michelada mix because it looked like they only out a drop in there. The bill came out to $90 and I don't think the food was worth that much honestly. I'd be back, but mostly for beers. Bonus points for the reusable Ball cups!

Ate at Steinerhaus on a Saturday evening and was not impressed. I ordered the Sweet and Spicy…read moreChicken sliders with baked beans. The sliders were decent but did not live up to the price in either taster or portion. The baked beans lacked flavor and seemed watered down. Speaking of watered down, the fountain drinks were definitely watered down... with some remnants of possible hops or some other type of aftertaste. The service was okay because the gentleman working seemed nice but he appeared to be the only waiter in the whole place and was definitely overwhelmed. The place was wide open and pretty much all outdoors so it's cool for a bar but not great for a dinner date. All of this gave me the impression Steinerhaus would be better suited as a bar serving bar food. If those are your expectations you'll probably be okay. If you're looking for a great bbq place to have a date night, this ain't it.
