They have the dog food brand we need and a wide assortment of treats and fun toys for our doggos. We have never used the grooming or vet services here but they always seem pretty busy. Definitely opt in for the rewards. They do come in handy and it's nice to save $5 here and there.

Sure, there are sporadic complaints, but you get that with any product. Sure, it may not be chock full of healthy ingredients, but very few cat treats are. As I figured, she put unfounded seeds of fear and anxiety into me for absolutely no reason that I can find, other than a few random Reddit posts and the flea and tick thing. Maybe she has a personal issue with Hartz products? If that's the case, perhaps she shouldn't be employed by someone who sells them. For the love of God, how many pet stores do you know that have cashiers telling you that the products you purchase are going to kill your pet? Especially AFTER they've rung them all up? Someone needs some new training. Original review: After ringing up my order that included 12 items made by Hartz, the cashier informs me in the most infuriatingly casual tone that it contains ingredients that have been found to caused cancer in cats. So I asked her if I should not be buying the stuff and she was said in the same annoying tone that I should look it up. So now I'm like well now that you've planted the seed in my head that I am knowingly killing my cat by buying this stuff, I would like to return it, but there is a line of five people behind me and no other checkout open. So yeah, don't buy Hartz/Delectables I guess according to this cashier, who had the worst personality ever by the way, she seemed annoyed that I had the nerve to get in line and interrupt her discussion of gravel with a woman in front of me. And frankly, if there is an ounce of truth to her warning (because I haven't gotten to look it up yet) maybe you shouldn't be selling this company's products or maybe you should tell your cashiers to warn people BEFORE they ring up the product. I'll be sticking to the Mount Prospect location from here on out.

The lady was very friendly and made sure everything was up to date before she can take her in. I had one of the worst customer service experiences of my life at PetSmart in Bloomingdale today…read more The level of inconsistency, rudeness, and complete lack of customer service was absolutely unacceptable. The customer directly in front of me told the cashier that the exact item he was purchasing was significantly cheaper online. They immediately honored the lower price and price-matched it for him no problem. Then I approached the same cashier with the exact same issue, and suddenly the rules changed. They refused to honor the lower online price for me. The cashier, Alfredo, was incredibly rude and dismissive, and the manager on duty was no better. When I pointed out that they had literally just price-matched the customer standing directly in front of me, the manager simply said they were unwilling to do it. What kind of customer service is that? The manager then told me to order the item online--even though I was already standing there with the item in my hand. So I stepped outside, placed the order online, and did exactly what I was told. Then Alfredo decided to inform me, after the fact, that I would have to come back in an hour or so to pick up the item. So instead of simply honoring the price that had JUST been honored for the customer in front of me, they turned a simple purchase into an unnecessarily frustrating ordeal. The attitude from both Alfredo and the manager was unacceptable. There was no attempt to be helpful, no effort to find a reasonable solution, and absolutely no consistency in how customers were treated. If this is how this location chooses to treat its customers, it is no surprise that people are leaving poor reviews. Your employees are the face of your business. If a customer leaves feeling like they were treated as an inconvenience rather than a valued customer, something is seriously wrong. The staff at this location including management desperately need customer service training. Being rude, dismissive, and unwilling to accommodate a customer while doing the exact opposite for the person standing directly in front of them is not acceptable. I will think twice before ever shopping at this location again. PetSmart can and should do much better.

We usually only come to a Petsmart to get dog food for the dog's occasional visits to our home. Our last visit here though did involve picking up some starter feeder fish (29 cents per fish, and they are used as food for bigger fish if not sold) for the kiddos as their first pets and the friendly staffer here was helpful and a fun guy. The grand-darlings were given full responsibility for daily feeding and weekly water changing and they did ok I guess, as those fish lasted a week. They are on their second batch of slightly bigger fish, and they're still alive after a month or so, so they are improving their pet owning skills. Thank you Petsmart for adequately meeting our pet needs.

I arrived, and the other employee who was very kind checked me in. I asked if it's with the groomer to confirm. And he said "no it's with me today." I responded "oh I thought I booked with ____." The groomer heard me say this, and I didn't realize she was at the back of the room grooming another dog as i said that, but she spoke with an attitude "it's fine I'll do it." And then she muttered something unpleasant under her breath, complained, and left the room. I just took my dog and left. I am very disappointed and upset. Even in prior visits when I scheduled appointments with specific groomers, my dog came back not looking good at all. So, it makes me confident that they never give you the groomer who you specifically schedule with. That is not fair. In my prior visits too they would also cut my dog somehow. Probably because they just gave him to new groomers who are not as experienced. I already learned how to groom him myself because of how awful the grooming department is here, but I have a hard time with his nails and paw pads. I cannot emphasize my frustration enough.

My Pet was experiencing a health issue on yesterday and I was filled with anxiety for my furry friend. I came upon an Petsmart employee and I don't remember his name, but he was so kind when I asked him about emergency vets in the area. He explained to me where one was , he also told me about the hours of service they have. After speaking with him I saw a familiar employee at the store who is always kind to me, her name is "Diane". I begin to tell her about my pet and the problem I was having. Diane was very helpful, we spoke about which food could help, about increasing water Into my pets regular food intake, and she showed me some food options I could purchase for my pet. She was so kind and she understood my anxiety and helped me to make the right choices for my pet's health care needs. Thank you to both of these kind souls, because of them I was able to go and see a vet and I was able to purchase foods that could help my furry friend. Thank you Petsmart for hiring individuals such as this young man and Diane. But recently, it seems like she feels dirty a day or two after I give her a bath. When I heard Joel say that dogs feel and smell clean for 2-3 weeks after one of his grooming services, I was immediately intrigued. Then I considered that he would also come to my house - saving me from having to get in the car and drive anywhere - and I scheduled an appointment. I'd been putting off giving my dog a bath for a week, and the grooming appt couldn't come soon enough. When Joel arrived, I walked Maddy out to the mobile grooming van. He took his time to talk to her and make her comfortable. I left her there and went back inside to get some work done. Joel texted me when he was nearly finished, and I went out to pick her up. She was so SUPER clean and soft. I was absolutely thrilled with how clean and shiny she was. And she stayed that way for about two weeks. On top of that, the grooming service included cleaning her ears, clipping and grinding her toenails, and brushing her teeth. I do all of those things (except grinding toenails), but I don't do them as well as a professional. It was a relief to know they'd all been done more thoroughly than I can do. And her toenails were as short as I've ever seen them. I couldn't believe how much Joel was able to do with the grinder. Going forward, I intend to find room in the budget to have her groomed in a regular basis. This was a super service for the whole family!
