I live in an apt complex that provides free sprays, but have noticed lately they seem to be ineffective. Since I work Mon-Fri 9-5, if I was going to find my own contractor it needed to be on the weekend when I could let him in. I called Ken at Getsum Sat am around 10 and luckily he would be in my area today, so he said he could swing by later in the afternoon. He told me his usual price, then agreed to a discount (without a contract) since my apt is small. When Ken arrived (at the time he said he would) he was very friendly and personable. He did a thorough spray and gel of my unit for roaches. Time will tell if it does the trick! What really impressed me with Ken was when he first saw how tiny my apt was he insisted that he charge nearly half of our already agreed upon price bc he "would feel dishonest" charging too much for such a small place. I think I have officially found my bug guy! Ken was great about responding quickly here on yelp. I originally asked a whole bunch of bug guys for prices; most of them charge way to much AND required some kind of contract. All I was looking for was an initial spraying and then wanted to see from there. Ken gave the best price and was very easy to work with. He was able to get me in the schedule very last minute and for that I am grateful! The day of the appointment he called to tell me he was on his way and arrived on time. I felt comfortable letting him in my home. He sprayed the entire house and then tackled my main concern. For whatever reason my backyard has mountains of sand. I cant stand this sand! However red ants LOOOOVVVVEEEE sand. I have dogs who love their backyard. Now you see my problem. Ken inspected every inch of the backyard and found 5 ant hills! He pumped them full of pet safe pest poison and advised that it may take a few days but there will not be any ants after. Payment was pretty easy. I would advise having check or cash as he does not take card. I expected to pay with card so I had neither cash or check. Oops! Ken was able to collect anyway by using a money transferring service called Zelle. It was easy and a process I could trust. Since he has sprayed I have not seen one bug in my house and the ants? When I've hired Ken a few years ago, it was a real scorpion disaster in our neighborhood. They were in the yard, they were in the house, I almost stepped on one while in the shower... Terrible! Especially for a mom of two curious toddlers crawling everywhere... I was bouncing from one company to the other, nobody seemed to do it right - until my neighbor told me to give a call to his "bug guy". I did. And I'm happy ever since! I have tried pest control with both Term...and Ork... with previous houses. While their services are good, they aren't cheap. When the 105 degree heat caused a gnat blossom in my backyard, I tried Ken and Getsum Pest Control. I am happy to say, i couldn't be happier. I can't see or tell the difference between the "big bug guys" and Getsum's service. Ken is polite, courteous, and timely. He took a look at the problem, made his mix, and sprayed the bugs away.
