I have been to their shave ice truck on shore drive a couple of times & their storefront in the Vibe District, a couple of times as well. Their shave ice is refreshingly good & tasty and the portions are great! For those who haven't experienced shave ice yet, it's like the texture of (snow) powder. It's light & fluffy, not icy & not crunchy. They pour flavored syrup of your choice over the shave ice. Two choices of syrup if you're building your own, however they do have suggested pairings if you're undecided or have analysis paralysis. They also have specials which are limited different flavors. Currently (6/01/24) they have an ube flavored one & a watermelon mojito flavor. It gets really busy inside. I suggest following their Instagram for updates. I believe this Tuesday (6/04/24) they mentioned closing the inside and making it a walk up window instead, to keep up with the influx of customers. There will still be plenty of outside seating with umbrellas (picnic tables). Also they will be starting their summer hours, opening earlier & closing later. They have a small climate controlled shack/hut for extra seating. But that seems to get occupied fast. They do offer some vegan & dairy free options, just be sure to verify the options. They also offer military & first responder discounts, be sure to mention it & show ID. So far I've had the Aloha Breeze (good, but not my favorite), The Chill - really loved this one, only if you like blueberry lavender, Pitaya in Paradise- this is another one of my top faves, The Sunset another great one, tastes like a dreamsicle. My husband had the float on and I was able to try some of his. That was delicious too, basically tastes like a root beer float. Under the shave ice is a scoop of ice cream. You can add their homemade whip cream for 50cents which is tasty too. If you see snocap- it's condensed milk which really adds to it. If you're looking for a dessert that is light & not overly sweet and won't make you feel like you're going into a sugar coma, this is your place! They are also very friendly. Parking- is challenging. There are roughly 6-8 angled parking spots. The shop itself is located between Prosperity Bakery and the car wash place. The perfect treat for this third-trimester lady trying to survive the Virginia summer! I went for the first time with my husband and toddler on Sunday evening around 5pm. I ordered the Shaka Colada and it really hit the spot. Coconut ice cream, pieces of pineapple and mango, shave ice, fruit syrups, toasted coconut, and a sno-cap. So very refreshing. My husband ordered a root beer float menu item which had vanilla ice cream, shave ice, root beer syrup, choice of additional vanilla or cherry syrup, and a sno-cap. I don't usually leave reviews, but our experience at Get Lost Shaved Ice was incredibly frustrating. We were told right at the door if we still wanted to place our order because it would take 30 minutes to make. My partner and I were okay with that and placed our order. I tried to pay for it via credit card but the system was not processing the transaction. Out of kindness, I then suggested that I could pay using cash to help alleviate the issue. My partner and I then sat down and waited for our order. After waiting 10 minutes, they begin calling repeatedly for somebody's order. They never show up for their order. After another 10 minutes, we are offered the people's order that never showed up. I accept but ask the staff if they want the ice fully expecting that I am still going to get my order. After 25 minutes, the people that ordered before us show up and they were also told that it would take 30 minutes for their order to be ready. They then ask for their order and were told that it was given away. Turns out, it was given to us. So now I'm in this awkward spot where I'm eating the other people's order and now knowing that I'm never going to get my original order. Really disappointing and it felt like the employees just wanted to leave and that was why they told us it would take 30 minutes for them to make our order. So ultimately, I never got my order that I paid for and ate someone else's. read more

The flavors all complimented each other great. It was true shaved Hawaiian ice, nice & smooth & creamy! Unlike Kona ice which is icy, chewy, & syrupy. It was pretty quick, & there's limited bar seating inside & then picnic tables outside, as well as an indoor shack. There's also a free parking lot, so need to walk like I did - although it's a great treat to cool off! Came here on a warm Fall day and was able to make some small talk with the owner, Stephanie, who was super chill and friendly. We were lucky to be the only other customers in there so we took our time in ordering. I got their version of the orange dreamsicle and my wife got the Shaka Colada. We both absolutely loved our shaved ice creations - so much that we didnt even try each other's in fear that it would ruin the flavor explosion that was going on. It was delicious in every way and didn't taste artificial at all, b/c it isn't! Be warned, the large 12oz cup can easily feed two people... I wasnt able to conquer it, but gave it my best shot. Each one was expertly crafted to order so be prepared to wait if there's a long line in front of you. There's two high top chairs inside the main area and then an additional seating shack in the back and several outdoor benches as well. Stoked that Virginia Beach has an amazing shaved ice place! The last time I had Hawaiian Shaved Ice, it was 2019 and I was in Kauai, Hawaii with my then-boyfriend (now husband). I've been craving something authentic ever since. I ordered the smaller version of the "Tropic Like it's Hot" flavor. This is officially one of my fave spots in VB! I came here with my friends it was so good that I came back a few days later with my boyfriend. So far, I've tried the suggested pairing flavors: aloha breeze and shaka colada shave ice. I added whipped cream to both for an extra 50 cents. Aloha Breeze (4.5/5): This one has a passion fruit and mango flavor base and is topped with diced mangos and sno cap and toasted coconut. There is vanilla ice cream at the bottom. Personally, I was a fan of everything except the vanilla ice cream, because I feel like coconut ice cream would have tasted better with the fruity flavors. Shaka Colada (5/5): This one has a pineapple, coconut, and mango base flavor. It's topped with toasted coconut and sno cap and diced pineapple. This shave ice consisted of coconut ice cream at the bottom, which was perfect with the pineapple flavor! This is my favorite flavor so far. They have a whole list of suggested pairing flavors on their board and seasonal flavors too, but you can also create your own! My friend got one that consisted of cotton candy flavor. Be prepared to spend around $10 for your shave ice! Also, their syrups are HOMEMADE with no preservatives OR food dyes! So you can eat it guilt-free :) Service is amazing and everyone working there is SUPER sweet. They're always helpful with any questions and always smiling and greeting their customers. They even offered my puppy some shave ice for him to try! He loved it! We ordered one to share, as they are pretty large...however if you're an ice addict who can handle their fill then you for sure should go separate. They have outside seating, as well as a little house like set up in the back with swinging chairs, regular chairs, and I saw a set up for a/c and heat. It also has a sliding door so if it's a bit too chilly you can probably close it!!! Lol. I had so much fun on the chair swing enjoying my ice. I've been here twice and it's pretty good. I went to a place in Arizona years ago and have yet to find shaved ice like that, but this is the place for it. I REALLY like the dairy free options, it's hard to have options like that at the local ice cream shops nearby. The employees are very nice and it's clean inside. I've had the aloha breeze my first time and the pitaya in paradise the second time, both were good. I came across this spot on IG and SOO glad that I did! The couple that owns the joint was working and they are so cool! They talked to us as they worked so their friendly service just added to the experience. Now to the shaved ice. I think these are more than your normal shaved ice. There are lots of sauces to choose from and a lot of them are made in house. The 3 we had were designed already but you can also create your own.
