Friendly staff, great selection, and live bait! I'd been hearing about Get Hooked through several fishing groups and finally stopped in today. Everyone was extremely friendly and helped give some pointers on what they have found to work recently. The store has a great selection of soft plastic baits including their own line of worms and swim baits that are known to work very well. Unfortunately I didn't have my aerator with me to get and live wild shiner ($26/doz) but I will definitely be back. I'm a big fan of supporting local businesses, and maybe their guide service is better, but this tackle store is probably one of the worst I've ever been into. Everything is a mess, things were everywhere and prices were significantly more than elsewhere, including other tackle shops. Maybe if you're in a bind, this would be a good place to visit. prices crazy high compared to other stores rude service from an old guy working there came in there one morning looking to buy bait as i was choosing what to get old guy starts raising his voice with a tone telling me what im gonna get. in another occasion i came in with a buddy of mine to buy some tackle he also purchased an 80 dollar "mystery box" of straight BS l. person at the register also said "oh yeah theres like 100$+ in store value in that box for only 80$" such a scam more like some BS baits he couldn't sell cuz they suck. overall tackle shop is absolute garbage and overpriced. read more

What a great find! Every time we've stopped in the owner has been so helpful and knowledgeable. As many lakes as the central Florida has, You would think there would be more bait stores! We though we had found a good bait shop , the owner Tim seems to be on vacation most of the week and only shows up on Sunday Monday and Tuesday which does our fishing party no good at all for getting any real tips on where to go in the area to catch the big ones, when we did get to speak to him he could only recommend one lake that was on Hwy 50 in Oakland/Killarney and when we got there the parking lot was so small and it was so crowded we couldn't even think about launching our pontoon boat and had to go somewhere else, and if that wasn't bad enough the owner wouldn't stop complaining about the area he was located and talked down about the people in the area. All in all we were not impressed with the times we stopped there and have found other places to supply us with what we need. . read more

Don't usually write reviews but went there yesterday and order 3 dozen shiners and got a few other things spent around $65.00 which wasn't bad but when I got to the lake open up the bucket I only had 2 dozen shiners and they were almost all dead didn't think to check them as in I've went there before and had no problems at all so I guess this is a hit or miss but I had to go to ace hardware to get more shiners which I wasn't happy about so I spent a total of around 80 bucks to fish not happy with this place at all. read more
