I had a dive emergency! I was packing my gear two days before a trip to Palau and when I touched my Oceanic ProPlus 4 it told me my battery was very low. Just last week I tested it and it was ok. I called Seminole Scuba and they told me they could take care of it right away. I drove there and Paul had my battery changed in no time at all! Equipment that gets damaged during normal use, even if used once, will not be accepted for a refund. Manager says it's up to the manufacturer whether or not an item can be returned. Lousy way to treat a customer. I'll go elsewhere next time. read more

Great bunch of people at this scuba shop. Eric could'nt be more helpful to me with a couple of issues I had with 2 underwater lights. He troubleshot both lights; repaired 1 no charge. The other needed a little more work. He directed that to the boss who made an adjustment that I was unaware of...again no charge. I could'nt be more satisfied with this group. The employee who helped me was super friendly and very helpful and patient with me (I took a long time deciding which mask to get). They also price match major retailers including Amazon. I am extremely saddened by this company. It was my first time in a scuba shop, and I really hope that all of them are not run this way. Let me start off by saying I just moved across the country to Florida. Which is expensive to say the least. I don't spend a lot of money on myself, most of my clothes come from thrift stores and none of my silverware matches. However I don't mind spending a good amount of money on things of quality. Thankfully I only spent $188 here, but it could have been much more. I bought a fx divers max for $70 that the clerk jokingly said was on sale. An impulse 3 snorkel for $50, a pair of aqua glide split fins for snorkeling at 36$, also the scrub for new googles and for defogging them. Both priced around $10. I foolishly left my cell phone in the car and didn't get the chance to research these products before using them. (No returns once the items have been used) Thinking to trust the employees at scuba Seminole. After my trip to the blue springs, I casually typed in the brands of all these items into google and was completely shocked. Mind you I didn't have to search around, or try to find a lower price. Right there on the first screen was listing after listing for each item marked down drastically. The goggles $27, the snorkel $22 and the fins $27. I feel like such a fool for not double checking before I purchased and used these items making them un refundable. Buys remorse has never made so much sense. DO not spend one penny in this shop without checking the prices elsewhere first, I am sorry I didn't. read more

I wanted to update this as I knew nothing about diving before and have made a 3 more trips since then. 1) My snorkel clip broke after literally 6 uses and during a dive. There goes another $30. 2) Integrated BCDs may not be used everywhere, but dive shops let you rent weights to put in the side pockets which have an emergency release. In fact, when I was renting my equipment at a shop, people were interested in open water lessons. I listened to see how that worked with this company and the only thing they needed was a snorkel, mask, and flippers. Selling them booties for "more powerful flippers", which I did not have, still makes no sense to me. I understand you want to defend your company, that's fine. But to your points, I have come to 2 conclusions: You know nothing about the industry or know a lot about the industry and just sell a bunch of stuff to amateurs who don't know better and think they need it so they don't die. Both of which are equally not someone anyone should do business with. I think I'll keep the booties I've never used because to me the $47 dollars is not worth the awkward confrontation from you. Please don't ever sell cars. I fell like you would sell "blinker fluid" to people who know nothing about cars...... read more

My husband and I have been scuba diving for 30 years. It's important to have a local scuba shop that's a distributor of quality equipment and competent at servicing all types of equipment. We have found all this and more at Seminole Scuba!! The staff is knowledgable, friendly and helpful. They also offer amazing diving trips all over the world. We recently took a trip to Raja Amput on the Indo Siren with Seminole Scuba, it was a trip of a life time! Several members of the staff also went to help with continuing education courses and underwater photography. We enjoyed it so much we have already booked our next two trips to Komodo and to Truk. This shop is a family owned and operated business. The staff that works here are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I haven't seen any pricing that is out of line with anywhere else I've been. So adding the bonus of personal and experienced advice as you contemplate your purchases is truly priceless. You can't get that at a big box store or via online discounters. I've personally witnessed the shop owner helping new divers make smart and cost effective purchases based on their needs. The guy working was a complete jerk. This is apparently a UPS access point (who makes a landlocked scuba store a ups point?!). When we arrived, packages were literally in the middle of the floor in the store. The guy threw my paper at me and didn't even have my package. He was really terrible. I tried to call corporate UPS to file a complaint and waited over 2 hours on the phone. Forget it!!! read more

We needed an air fill up in Orange and there was nothing around. We flagged a fire martial who referred us to Seminole Scuba about 12 miles south. Paul, the owner was great. He gave us loads of local advice on springs and even specifics on the various dives and what to expect. The weather started to turn and we feared the springs would be blacked out so we asked him about West Palm diving. He had some former employees and students that ran a shop there Abernethy's Scuba Adventure. He gave us numbers and details and everything for there as well. I have been diving with Seminole Scuba since 2009 and won't use another dive shop. My wife and I have been on two superb diving trips, one to Tanzania/Zanzibar and the other to Raja Ampat, Indonesia arranged by Seminole scuba. Both were bucket list experiences arranged by the owners, Paul and Kristen Shepherd. Their customer service is second to none. This is a one stop shop for all your diving needs. We left from Melbourne for a day trip to Blue Springs State Park and forgot to bring one of our BCDs. We found Seminole Scuba on Google and arrived early. We saw someone in the store and they opened early to take care of us. They were very friendly and Seminole Scuba is a well appointed store. They're also the closest to Blue Springs State Park.
