On a rather warm fall afternoon, I ventured into Ski World, and despite their name, it was quite hot inside--for some reason that day the A/C was not running. The door was open, and the associate working was friendly and helpful and apologized for the temperature. He also mentioned that right now they are transitioning from summer to winter. Thus, most of the wakeboarding and waterskiing equipment was on sale, specifically, their 2007 boards. It was also apparent that the selection was slimming and that cold weather hobbies were dominating the store's stock. Being that I know very little about water sports, I thought it was funny to see a big jug of Toe Jam Binding Lube for sale. Near the summer area, you'll find a large fish tank filled with intriguing creatures. At first it almost doesn't look real but adds a nice touch to the store overall. If you do need warm clothing for your ski vacation in Aspen they will be able to help you. Salomon, Spyder, Hot Chillys, Columbia and NorthFace are just a few of the names you'll see while shopping. Whether its winter coats, leggings, goggles, skis, boots, hats, etc., you shouldn't be disappointed in selection or price for that matter. They seem to be average and not above what you'd expect. They even have cold weather gear for the little person in your life. I really enjoyed their cream colored Columbia fleeces for toddlers--so cute. Parking shouldn't be a problem since there are a few spots right in front of their store. And if you need to run any other errands, Ivanhoe Row isn't a bad place to be since there are a variety of businesses up and down this section of Orange.

We rented a little electric catamaran that seats two people. It's slow moving but was great to just putter around the lake for 3 hours. There were other boaters and jet skiers out there as well. The electric chaise lounge has room on the sides for a bag or a small cooler and you can sit on the side and just hang your feet in the water. We will definitely be back and will probably rent a pontoon boat next time around. The Yelper who gave this place 2 stars is not actually rating the marina - I believe she is rating the park next door. The marina does have bathrooms and is not for public access to the water.

Turns out that my bank (IFG Boat Loans) actually masked their loan fees as 'dealer prep fees'. Pretty messed up. Entirety of the review below left for reference. I've updated my score as well. While I still feel that communication could most definitely have been better, R&N was straight up on everything. I recently purchased a Regal from across the country. As stressful as it is to make a big purchase sight unseen, Jason didn't exactly make things easier. Communication was 'ok' in the beginning. I agreed to the asking price on the boat, and arranged finance and inspection, etc. I asked for a few simple things - primarily, I asked three times for an inventory of the vessel (dock lines, fire extinguisher, anchor, etc), so I knew what items I needed to acquire before taking delivery on the water. I asked for a couple of systems to be checked, etc. I never got an answer around these. Fortunately, I hired a marine surveyor to check the vessel out and I was confident enough in its condition to move forward. When paperwork finally got completed, I happened to be in Australia trying to finalize everything. While I saw the initial order form that included your typical $499 'document fee' bs, I missed the final ACTUAL line items where that fee changed to $570, plus an additional $375 in 'document fee'. They reamed me for almost a grand for this nonsense. Registration in CA is the sales tax (use tax) paid, so this was just a straight up padding of the final bill. It's on me that I missed it, but it is a pretty crappy thing to do to people.

They are without question the best boat dealership I've ever experienced. Their service department has come to my dockside and I've brought my boats to their state-of-the-art facility. His communication is great and he is very thorough, sometimes fixing things I didn't even know were issues. - Kenny as the General Manager. Kenny does something very challenging. Keeping customers happy with one of the most advanced and expensive assets their family owns. Today's boats are very complex, with many systems all having to work together. Malibu and Axis are at the forefront of that tech, but sometimes the one at the lead gets the most bruises. Kenny balances this challenging service role like a champion. - Wes Powers as the sales master. Wes IS the epitome of the boating lifestyle. This isn't a job for him, it is a lifestyle. He's always working because his life is boating. He alway's looks to the future of the customer because he's guiding families to a lifestyle of fun and memories.
