I booked the 10 pm bioluminescence kayak tour on Merritt island. They had different options available on-site of clear 2 people transparent Kayaks, also on person transparent single Kayaks. It was easy to see the company truck by the launching area on the on the Indian river lagoon. There were life vest and small lights for us to be able to see the other members of the group while paddling in the dark. We paddled to horseshoe crab island and got to see dolphins a couple of times. Overall is pretty dark so mostly you see them around. Our guide was Jordan. He was great! We could not have asked for a better guide. He gave us instructions on how to stay safe, and what to expect during the tour. He also worked hard to communicate with the group while in the water, and made sure that the group stayed together the whole time. He has the right personality for the job making our experience easy and fun. We could see the bioluminescence phenomenon what was pretty incredible. I wish we could have Good pictures of it but unfortunately they don't turn out good. Bring bug spray ! Lots of mosquitos! read more

We did the 10 p.m. bioluminescence clear kayak tour, and OMG... I loved it so much! The first time I ever saw bioluminescence was in Puerto Rico back in 2018, and it's still one of the most beautiful nighttime experiences I've ever had--right up there with seeing the Northern Lights. There's just something so magical about watching the water glow around you. We drove about 50 minutes from Orlando to Merritt Island for the tour, where we launched from the Indian River Lagoon, and it was absolutely worth it. This is one of those experiences that's really hit or miss, so keep in mind that the amount of bioluminescence you see isn't something the tour company can control. We got lucky because there was so much activity that night! We actually didn't kayak very far since the bioluminescence was so active right near the shoreline. We spent most of our time enjoying it from that area because there was no need to go much farther. Also, don't expect your phone camera to do it justice. It's incredibly hard to capture on camera, and it's so much more breathtaking in person. I highly recommend this experience to everyone, and I already can't wait to do it again! read more

This tour was awesome! Im so grateful for Roger allowing us to hop on a later tour for kayaking since we were late to our original booking. He was so friendly and didnt even stress about us being late. I booked 2 kayaks but ended up sharing one with my partner so it was a better experience for me in the water. It was such a leisurely experience and even though it was cooler and we only saw one manatee it was still pretty neat. We did see otters teaching their babies how to swim, alligators & tons of birds. read more

My husband and I recently booked the Manatees and Monkeys tour at Silver Springs State Park with Epic Paddle Adventures through Viator. Our guides were Stevie and Ben. The meet-up instructions weren't extremely clear, but I was able to use context clues, such as the clear kayaks and a small sign with the business name on the side of a plastic tote, to figure out which group we were with. The guides weren't dressed in any specific colors or anything. As far as I know, we were the first to check in, but somehow we were close to last when being set up in a kayak. We weren't told about or offered dry bags either. I saw others with them, asked, and had to run back and grab a couple while we were lined up to launch. Another group asked us to grab some for them as well. Stevie provided us with a brief paddling tutorial prior to our departure being that we were the only ones in our group to have never been kayaking previously. Ben made sure our seats were set up properly and secured for the ride and assisted me with fashioning my life vest into a cushion for my bottom. After the tour, everyone was complaining about their bums hurting, but I was just fine! As paddling novices, we stayed at the rear of the pack for most of the tour and missed out on all of the informative bits and bites provided by Stevie, but the springs were relaxing, beautiful and teeming with wildlife! It would've been nice if we could've been positioned at the front of the group, being one of the first to launch since we did arrive first and we were beginners. Just a thought for future tours. The manatees were majestic! Go for the manatee. I was worried that we wouldn't see any, but that was no issue. The water is crystal clear and the manatee are present. They're calm and they come right alongside and beneath the kayaks. It was amazing. Our guides got us back to dock safe and sound and that's all I really cared about. Pictures were taken throughout and a QR code to view them was provided. Later that day, they weren't there, despite tours that happened after ours being online. During the tour, we were told that we didn't need to take pics because they'd take plenty. In fact, most of us had our things in dry bags for safety. We really wanted those pictures. I called the office and spoke to a woman who said she'd speak to whomever uploads them and if they weren't there by the end of the day to call her back. They were eventually uploaded and I was stoked to see the underwater video of the manatee! I'm happy I took pictures of my husband and I because those candid shots of us struggling to paddle are only suitable for comic relief purposes. Speaking of which, some of the guides' jokes and anecdotes weren't funny and were borderline offensive. I tried to let them roll off my back, but it is partially the reason for the lower rating. read more

If you're looking for a unique outdoor experience I highly recommend doing this. What to expect: We booked the Nighttime Paddle experience at 7:30, checked in at 7pm, they did the safety and what to expect briefing, We paddled out shortly after 8pm. We followed the guide Bryce and Savannah, after about 30mins we stopped and they took complimentary photos of everyone, I loved that there was no charge for the pictures, most of these adventures they charge for them. We paddled around on our own for most of the time, so don't worry about having to stay all together, they just don't want you to wonder off too far. At about 9:15 we started heading back. What I would suggest if you're going for the first time: Dress based on the weather not the fact that it's a water sport, I barely got wet, just drips from the paddle. it was a little chilly so I wish I wore a sweater or something a little warmer. Use the restroom just before leaving the dock. Bring snacks and soft drinks if you'd like, a couple had wine that was a good idea:) They'll provide a waterproof bag for your belongings. If you're together, it's best to go in a tandem rather than each going individually. Bring cash for tip at the end. Suggestions for Business operators: Bryce and Savannah were great!!! Keep them:) The battery packs kept dying, maybe upgrade those, it was annoying having to keep asking to get mine changed out, half of the experience I had no lights. My friends and I visited on Feb 22nd and Ben was our amazing guide. He had a lot of interesting facts and information about the springs and all the animals we came across -- he also had great sense of humor! It was so cool gliding ontop of the crystal clear waters and watching the fishes and HUGE turtles swim beneath us. We were lucky enough to see a manatee and a bunch of Macaques (babies and adults!) that day too. Tip for those with back surgeries and especially fusions: these are clear kayaks with soft seats, which was difficult for my husband to sit straight up in. I booked a tour with them at new moon night to see bioluminescence, callled thier office to confirm the bioluminescence but we didn't see any bioluminescence and when I called thier office they just straight lie and say that there was bioluminescence, like I'm blind or lying. I'm adding the photo to confirm the location, time and the fact that there was NO bioluminescence. So please stay away from them and book through some better and honest operators, then hopefully you won't return disappointed like us. read more

TJ told me to do a review on Google (which I will), but you know I had to come here first lol!! So a friend of ours that we are visiting our friend and her husband and she suggested this place to us. We were trying to beat the rain, so we came at 11 AM. I kind of suck at swimming, so I did have a life vest on. But it mostly didn't matter as the boat held up super sturdy. We did the kayaks instead of the paddle board itself. But TJ was awesome!! He was able to help guide us and provide assistance on how to do it right. We did get rained on but it wasn't bad. Very untrained and unprofessional company. DO NOT bring children, elderly or inexperienced people on this tour. our tour started out fine, the bioluminescence was not as prominent as I would have hoped, but i understand that some things are out of our control. but on the way back from the island, our kayak filled with water and eventually sank in the middle of the channel, in the middle of the night. we remained calm and grabbed one of our tour guides, BOB. i understand accidents happen and knew that this was a risk i'd be taking, but i also thought that our guide would at least be capable of rescue procedure or that there would be a protocol in place for when these things happen. but that was not our experience. BOB panicked, didn't know what to do, and paddled helplessly into nothing while we waited for our other tour guide, LOGAN, to return. he also didn't seem to care about our safety, and was more concerned with the kayak over getting us back to shore. we must've been hanging on for at least 30 minutes until LOGAN got back to us and sprang into action, quickly flipping the kayak over and getting us onto his paddleboard. LOGAN eventually got us back to safety, with NO help from BOB who only got in the way, crossing paddles with LOGAN and paddling in the OPPOSITE DIRECTION from shore. BOB looks to be at least 50 years old, is easily tired, and seemingly has no experience in paddleboard/kayak rescue procedure. why on God's green earth would you trust him to take you a mile to the island and back across the river if he can't help you when an accident happens??? why is he even employed here??? i really want to drive home how amazing LOGAN was though. throughout the tour he was very knowledgeable about local wildlife and ensured everyone was involved in the tour. when it came to rescuing us, he was very lighthearted and kept us calm, but wasted no time in getting us back to shore and stressed the entire time how important our safety was to him. it is a shame that such a good tour guide was dragged down by such an unqualified counterpart. read more

Successful first time, second time last year my friends were visiting from out of town and the weather was so bad that Epic had to cancel our group bioluminescent tour, but even despite something they couldn't control- we had adequate notice and they gave us options for reschedule or refund and we opted for refund due to travel constraints- was refunded no issue. Had a magical time with Epic touring Blue Springs and getting up close and personal with manatees! We were an adult family of 5 people with varying levels of paddling comfort and experience, including two non-swimmers. The guides Rich and Aaron made everyone feel super comfortable and were also really knowledgeable about manatees and the area. I learned a ton of fun facts about manatees- won't spoil them for you! Everyone in my group had a great time and found the whole experience really relaxing. Of course the best part were the gentle creatures coming right up to my board! This is a great tour for newbies to get hooked on paddling as the distance is short, pace is relaxed, and most of the time is spent watching for wildlife. Just want to add how amazing all the people at Epic are. Jenny spent an hour on the phone with me to give me the Central florida SUP lay of The land. I had such a great time doing the Blue Springs Manatee tour with Rich and Aaron! Highly recommend - this is great for folks of all skill levels and experience levels. I did the tour via a kayak. I kayak often at home and feel very comfortable in a kayak. The majority of the people on the tour did the stand up paddle boards. After watching the step by step instruction and lesson teaching everyone how to use their board and how to stand up, I was really impressed and kind of wished I had gone with the board route myself -- next time! Either way, regardless of vessel, this tour was awesome. Aaron and Rich were great guides. Both of them were very knowledgeable about the area and the wildlife. We saw gators, several various birds, and even a few MANATEES! It was the perfect amount of time spent on the water as well. Not a long paddle, but not a quick back and forth either. It was a good few hours and every minute was enjoyable. I will definitely be paddling again with Epic next time I am in central Florida. read more

Full moon paddle boarding is my new favorite activity!!! We were absolutely delighted with our wonderful guides (instructors) and the gorgeous location that they had selected for us. We were so fortunate to enjoy a nearly full moon and warm slightly breeze clear, bright night. The boards were decked out fancy -- with lights underneath that looked beautiful and created a lovely effect as we paddled. This place was phenomenal. I simply wanted to rent a stand-up paddle board for a full day and take it to King's Landing to paddle board the Emerald Cut section of Rock Springs Run. Epic Paddle Adventures made that possible. There was an extremely helpful primary worker that scheduled my pick-up and then her and another worker both made the actual pick-up easy and smooth. They were great at explaining the how to's allowing me to feel comfortable to start the tour. They made sure to call out all the nature to enjoy all throughout the tour. They were light hearted and fun telling jokes and asking questions about all of us to get to know us better. Even in the fun, I could tell their number one priority was the safety of the whole group. I managed to fall off my board and they helped me get back up and enjoy the rest of the tour without feeling uncomfortable or sacred. My family of six and I went on a sunset cruise/paddling kayak tour with Bryce and Savanna!-- they were awesome!! They made sure that my teenage daughter was happy with a paddleboard even though they originally put her in a kayak. When her tears showed up they made sure that she got the paddleboard that she originally requested! The intro and getting in the lake was easier than expected and even tho We all got a later start than I planned (my legs are old) they made up for it in so many ways!! We are at busy, active group of participants and they made sure we all had a good time! They showed us the "fancy" part of Ivanwood and made sure that we got all of the picture requests that we asked for including LED colors and family shots... We are a handful but they were amazing! Lol. The sites were impressive and the sunset was beautiful!! They got us all together and made sure that we all had a wonderful time, while being both informative and helpful in more ways than expected! My mother-in-law was having a hard time keeping up and Bryce literally tethered his paddleboard to her kayak to make sure that she had a good time too and kept up with all of us! We used this for our Bunny Yoga Experience and it was Absolutely Awesome! The Bunnies were so Big and soft and super friendly. Our Instructor Shannon was Amazing and thoughtful. She baked us cookies to enjoy afterwards. She modified for our different activity levels and gave wonderful life advice based on the Yoga we were doing.
