ZERO STARS! PLEASE READ THIS AND AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!…read more I live in Fraser and love to support small, local businesses (keep our money local, support Mom and Pop shops, etc.). This was the worst home improvement project I've ever had. I didnt listen to my gut and got completely screwed because of it. The price be square foot was MUCH higher than it should have been for the brand/quality of carpet I got. Also, the salesman arbitrarily round up $70 on the quote to give himself a few extra bucks in his pocket (I didnt catch that at the time, shame on me, again). The first install, a small fella came out and stapled the carpet to the hardwood floors, even after laying tack strips. He didnt clean up his debris and fraying so when I did my walk through I was thrown off and didnt see the fatal flaws of the install. After vacuuming, there were dimples around the entire perimeter of both rooms (pictured below). I was blown away and had another carpet company come and check out the install. The guy was blown away and said "I've never seen anything like this" and "this is how a 5 year old would install carpet". Unhappy with the final product I called the salesman and told him I had someone look at it and that it was installed incorrectly. We went back and forth for a bit as he insisted that IS how you install carpet. He said he'd send someone out to "repair" it. The same guy came out two days later with a seam roller and tried to roll out the dimples from the staples. I immediately called the salesman and told him this was terrible and not how you install carpet in the first place. He insisted to speak with the small fella doing the repair, on my phone. They spoke in another language, some kind of eastern european. The salesman agreed to rip it out and install it again. I didnt want to deal with them and asked for a refund but he refused. I allowed them a second chance to install it correctly. Second install, the same little fella came out to do the install again. This time, he didnt put any staples in but didnt even stretch it to secure it to the tack strips (pictured below). I'm not even joking. He rolled it out, scuffing the hell out of my walls, cut it to size, and that was it. He came and got me when he was "done" to which I looked at the job and clearly knew that I had been swindled out of over a thousand dollars. Knowing I was not going to get any sort of reason out of this company, I showed the installer the door. I went on yelp and found a carpet repair guy who came out the same day of the install. He brought a power stretcher and fixed this mess in about 20 minutes. He, as well as the other person i consulted, said this was the biggest joke of an install he'd ever heard off. The guy felt so bad for me he didn't want to charge me (yes there ate still good people in the world). I refused and gave him some cash for coming out quick, in the heavy rain. All this to say, this is a carpet company that is GROSSLY overpriced and DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO INSTALL CARPET. Like I said, I didnt listen to my gut and I didnt shop around. Shame on me. Do not make the same mistake. AVOID AT ALL COSTS
