I really have a hard time believing the good reviews this company has. Last November 2018 we decided we wanted a walk in bath tub. We chose this company because of the reviews, the localness, and the overall politeness of the owner Bud. Their policy is to pay for the tub upon signing the contract, which was done. The tub was being delivered the Monday before Thanksgiving and completion was to be completed by Wednesday, My son was loaning us part of the money. (The job took over two weeks because the crew only worked a few hours a day) Bud called my son on Sunday for payment but my son could not pay until Monday. Monday morning Marblecast was called first thing in the morning but there was no answer. The crew showed up to start the tub around 10am . Bud called them and told them not to start the job because the balance was not paid. It actually had been paid at 9am but the secretary failed to let Bud know. I was supposed to get a heated seat which I told Bud I wanted when we first met. Also I was supposed to get a shelf for shampoos and soap. WE did not get either. The contract also says inline heater. I was told we do have that. I would assume that is to keep the water warm. The air jets push out cold air which in turn cools the water. Bud called me and both of my sons liars and said we did not know what we are talking about. I called the manufacturer because the book they gave us with the tub did not match up. I was told it wouldn't because the book was from 2012 and they did not have any updated books because the tubs are all the same. Bud finally did send out an installer to address the issues in March, but told him to tell us that everything was fine. The installer was upset with the original installation. The area behind the faucets was falling in and the caulk shrunk up and was coming out. Don't get me wrong, I love my tub. But after the original cost was just over $7000.00 and the final cost over $10,000.00 I would expect a nice completed job. I had to hire another contractor to finish up the details. The installation is now decent but not professional. Not something I want to show off. read more

We had two bathrooms installed by Marblecast. They worked with us from the layout to installation. The professionals there are very easy to work with and met stated timelines. A year later and we are still very pleased with our choir to use Marblecast. The maintenance of their product is no different from other showers and the cost is between an off the shelf insert and tile install. I strongly recommend them for anyone on a budget. This is the second bath that Marblecast has done for us. We chose them a second time because of the skill of the installer. He is a "master" at plumbing, electrical and carpentry. This time we had a small bath completely redone in a 50's home. The installer/artist was not only skilled but took time to make sure everything was brought up to code. He worked long hours, was quiet and cleaned up every day. I have recommended Marblecast to my friends and neighbors. I called to get a quote on a bathroom threshold. The rep was super helpful and gave me some info for one piece I was looking at but then the owner told the rep 'not to give me anymore prices and that I had to come in'. I mentioned that I live nearly an hour away and that I'd love to know a ballpark on just one more item (for a total of 2) before I drive over there but the owner refused. Definitely one of the most un professional companies I have ever dealt with! One star is too high of a rating! My parents purchased a walk in tub, with installation, from this Marblecast Kitchens and Baths. They had looked up the reviews and chose them because they had a good rating. Bud, the owner of the company, was a pleasant salesman in the beginning, and sold them his product. They gave him a deposit and waited for the install. When the material showed up, he demanded the payment for the install before it began! Reluctantly, they gave him payment, so the work could commence. After that, it went downhill. The installer, James, clearly did not know what he was doing. They found some rot in the wood behind the walls, which understandably, would incur an additional cost. But the cost to replace six 2x4's was a little outrageous: $2000.00 (Which they had to pay before the work could be done). At "completion," My parents were not happy with the end result. There were many things that Bud promised that were never delivered, and the workmanship was HORRIBLE! After repeated attempts to meet with Bud, which he refused, I had to show up at his showroom, where Bud was combative. I was passed on to his son, who was very pleasant, and said that he would address the list of issues that I had. He attempted to address the issues with another installer, and after many weeks of waiting, the job was once again "complete." End result: the hot and cold water lines to the tub are switched, they used the wrong caulk to seal the tub, for the second time, It still looks horrible. We had to replace the hot water tank due to capacity issues, which makes sense, but was never suggested by Bud. There was no recourse because they were forced to pay in full prior to the install. (SMH!) I know that it really doesn't matter, but... Did I mention that my mom was going through stage 4 cancer treatment at the time of this install (She has beaten it, so far! Thank God!), and my dad has M.S. I understand that issues can arise during construction, but how a company addresses these issues is a sign of the character of the company and its workers. I've driven past them for years. When it came time to put in a new counter top in our master bathroom I looked everywhere. We had wanted granite, but with an 11 foot length we would have a seam in the middle. With the marblecast top - no seam. The color is fabulous! I wanted to compliment the navy tile which we never loved. It's from 1959, but with the beautiful new top the bathroom is fabulous. Judy and Scott were very helpful with everything. They were on time and the installation was flawless. Perfect installers. I was so scared something would go wrong, but it was perfect. Everyone was so nice! Would definitely recommend them for marblecast tops! read more
