It had the original cabinets from the 1970s. The shelves weren't even, and there was barely any counter space to work with. We knew we wanted to replace all the cabinets, get quartz counterop, and upgrade the layout to be more functional. We called another competitor first, and they quoted us that the bare minimum of what we were asking for would be over $45,000, which was more than twice our budget. When we met Bill, he wasn't pushy or salesy. We told him our budget and what we were looking for, and he was able to meet every expectation. It took about 8 weeks for our cabinets to come in/be made. Immediately after that, Joe and the crew came and completed our kitchen renovation within 2 weeks. My partner and I work from home, and the renovation did not disturb our workflow at all. We'll definitely be working with them again in the future when we update our bathrooms!

Had our kitchen done 25 years before and it took months to be completed (a true nightmare). Joe Allen was so patient with us because we had no idea what we wanted plus he designed a perfect change that we needed. Every morning he showed up to check on the job and even helped with moving out all our old appliances. I enjoyed working with his son who also help in picking out backsplash and colors. We were so pleased with them that I would call them again and highly recommend them. Whats nice you can tell they love what they are doing and their work shows it. Another quick note CKD was so fast at coming to give us a quote and very reasonable. Eileen S.

NWT Services - Installed LED under cabinet lighting, it is capable of changing to different colors. We also installed lights above cabinets.

He sent me an appointment and I accepted it and I said, "See you then". I didn't see that afterwards he asked for my address which I thought we had already discussed because he wanted to know if it was within his work area. We had an appointment for Monday morning between 9:30 and 10:30. Come Monday - no show, no text, nothing. Finally at 10:15 I go on Yelp to see what's going on and see his questions, so I quickly answered them and asked if he could still make it and he said no - he already made his schedule and since I never answered the questions - he didn't include me in it. He had sent me an appointment request and I accepted - which automatically put it on my calendar and I believe his. If I didn't answer his question right away, he had two days, why didn't he re-ask the question so Yelp would send me another notice before he did his schedule? (Especially since during our back and forth about the project he didn't answer me for a day and I had to do that to him to get him to respond!) So on Monday he said he might fit me in sometime during the week but probably not before Friday, I was upset, but said, OK, please let me know when you could fit me in. He said he would. That was two weeks ago - no call, no yelp reach out, nothing. When I searched back in the reviews before I wrote this review, I found that Nick had done this to someone else to - almost exactly the same thing. Doesn't look like Nick has customer service skills or just doesn't want to work for women. Negative 10 Stars from Me

HomeWorks Cgo - A HomeWorks cgo inc. employee installing bathroom door trim

I recently finished a kitchen remodel with HomeWorks CGO Inc., and I'm so glad I chose them. This…read morewas my first time doing a major remodel, so I was a little overwhelmed at the start. But from the very beginning, the team at HomeWorks made everything feel doable--and even exciting. We weren't just updating the kitchen--we went all in. They installed new custom cabinets, quartz countertops, a beautiful tile backsplash, and luxury vinyl flooring throughout the entire first floor. On top of that, we got a new front door, all new baseboards and casing, and honestly the cherry on top: gorgeous crown molding that gives the whole space a finished, high-end feel. One thing I really appreciated right off the bat was their quote process. It was super detailed--nothing vague or rushed. They broke everything down clearly so I knew what to expect in terms of cost and timeline. I felt like they were being straight with me, which meant a lot, especially as someone doing this for the first time. We had two design meetings to choose all the materials, and while I definitely needed that extra time to make decisions (I wanted to LOVE every choice), their design team was incredibly patient and helpful. They never pressured me or made me feel like I was dragging things out. They just wanted me to be happy with the final result--and I am! Once we got started, the pace of the project really surprised me. Demo was done within a day or two, and not long after that, cabinets were going in. The whole thing felt super organized. The only real wait we had was for the countertops--about three weeks after the cabinets were measured. But even then, they used that time wisely and installed the flooring throughout the house while we waited. So progress never stopped. And here's something that really stood out: there were no surprise costs. Everything we agreed on up front stayed the same. No hidden fees. No "oops, that'll be extra." I've heard nightmare stories from people getting hit with surprise charges mid-project. That didn't happen here. We paid exactly what they quoted, and the value we got in return was well worth it. The whole team was great. Every person who came into our home was respectful, professional, and easy to work with. They kept things as clean as possible and were always happy to answer questions or explain what was happening next. It felt like they genuinely cared about the work they were doing--and about our experience as homeowners. Now that the project's done, the kitchen feels like the heart of the home again. It's clean, modern, and just really well put together. I still catch myself walking in and going, "Wow... this is OUR kitchen!" So if you're thinking about remodeling, I'd definitely recommend HomeWorks CGO Inc. They know their stuff, they're honest and easy to work with, and they deliver beautiful results. I'd work with them again in a heartbeat.

We hired Larry for a kitchen remodel and it seemed like he had good reviews. We had another…read morecontractor out to the house who was very knowledgeable and professional, but only hired Larry because the quote came in lower. Now we seriously regret it. His work was sub-standard at best. His quote was at 3,500 originally, for a tiny kitchen, but when it was time to write the check we were charged an extra $650 in materials. We purchased all of the materials except some wood trim. I don't think mud, and screws, and a little bit of trim warrants $650, an extra charge that we were not informed about in advance, or an itemized list of what materials that he used to justify the extra costs. If screws, mud, and some wood trim warrants a $650 charge he must base his prices on what the government charges people which is seriously over inflated and ridiculous! I asked simple advice during the cabinet install and his excuse quoting him was " I'm a contractor not a designer". I never asked him to design our kitchen. The other contractor came out and actually designed the kitchen even before we hired him. We had a few cabinets that needed to be returned to Home Depot, which all contractors do. His excuse was " my truck is full I can't help you". Also our refrigerator was moved around the kitchen and both handles are now broken, possibly leaving us with having to replace it. The wheels on the refrigerator suddenly stopped turning because there was so much debris under them they seized up because of the lousy clean up of the floor was. Larry installed the new sink, and all new sinks come with garbage disposal covers, and he didn't even look for it in the box, therefore it was not installed leaving us to get someone else to install it. So I found out his honesty level is extremely poor, his work is cheaply done, and his attitude is unprofessional at best. His personality is over inflated just like his material costs! I only paid it because we were so fed up at that point with all of this mess, we just wanted to get rid of him! I asked him how much a tiny backsplash would be , just for my own curiosity and entertainment, and he came in at $2,500! He seriously thought I would even consider that after all the happened! Well, we cheated out hiring a contractor who did sub-standard work and broke our refrigerator handles, and left gouges in our new cabinets, and with a terrible attitude, besides other things. Never do that again! It was well worth hiring the other contractor, who would have done everything for us. We are seniors and my husband has Parkinson's and other health issues which he clearly seen. I would never, ever recommend him to anyone! One star is actually too good for him! Do yourself a favor, do your due diligence when hiring a contractor!

My husband reached out to Done Rite and was told he didn't service our area and wasn't sure he could totally do what we needed. Okay no problem. He said he'd come anyway since he had some open time and we greatly appreciated it, it had been tough to find a reputable and reasonably priced plumber. Larry is the owner, my husband spoke with him over the phone. He said he wasn't sure he could do what we were asking but said he would come anyway. My husband plumbed commercially many many years ago. With work and our kids, our plates are very full so we decided to hire this portion of our basement reno out. We were definitely happy we got somewhere who was available and seemed to be pretty personable and friendly. Larry told us his prices and we accepted them. Larry came by with 3 other guys, so total 4 guys including Larry. One guy attempted to do the work while Larry and the others stood around watching. When my husband realized they'd need some assistance he jumped right in to help. The other guys Larry brought were very friendly and nice, a far cry from what we've experienced before. Larry literally stood around and watched the one guy work, not giving any direction, smoked a few cigs outside our walkout and answered phone calls while these young and obviously inexperienced plumbers tried their best. One guy had more knowledge but you could tell he was still learning. Hours began passing and we realize this is not going to get done quickly if my husband doesn't help. Being the person that my husband is, he steps in to assist the obviously stumped guys at what else to do. My husband then had to say to Larry hey man why don't you get started on that section while these guys finish up here? Literally so much time was wasted. My husband ended up sweating some of the lines himself so they could be done faster smh. After all that Larry's sweating was poorly done to say the least. Finished product looked terrible. Then when we got the bill it was almost $700! And Larry did one copper pipe!! What a waste of money and he still charged us. We pay because we're honest people but we were not happy. We felt taken advantage of big time. Then a pipe starts leaking. We called Larry back, they had just left so we tried to catch them before they got too far. Larry sends back the one guy who did more of the work to fix the pipe. After the fixed issue, Larry asked if he can charge us for another hour! What a waste of time and money. It took them from 9am to close to 3/4pm to finish this job. And it would have taken longer if my husband hadn't stepped in and started telling them what to do. My husband did about 70% of the soldering. Larry's way of doing business is a sham. There is no way we should have been charged so much for him doing ZERO work and then he wanted to charge us $100 more after they had to come back and fix something. Of course we were not paying him anymore money for him to stand around while his worker tried to figure out what to do. The others who were very pleasant, looked lost and Larry gave them no guidance whatsoever. He definitely ripped us off. We should have just stopped them at 2 hours smh. Once we realized Larry was leaving these guys to just figure this out, my husband stepped in. Being nice and we got taken advantage of. Lesson learned. The one star was for the guys being friendly and coming to our area. Update: we now have a leak smh
