It had the original cabinets from the 1970s. The shelves weren't even, and there was barely any counter space to work with. We knew we wanted to replace all the cabinets, get quartz counterop, and upgrade the layout to be more functional. We called another competitor first, and they quoted us that the bare minimum of what we were asking for would be over $45,000, which was more than twice our budget. When we met Bill, he wasn't pushy or salesy. We told him our budget and what we were looking for, and he was able to meet every expectation. It took about 8 weeks for our cabinets to come in/be made. Immediately after that, Joe and the crew came and completed our kitchen renovation within 2 weeks. My partner and I work from home, and the renovation did not disturb our workflow at all. We'll definitely be working with them again in the future when we update our bathrooms!

I chose quartz even though I felt granite was a preferred material according to the sales rep. We paid up front for the whole cost. A big mistake. The owner always seems busy and makes promises he doesn't follow through on. I was told this business had the best cutter in the county. Yet, at installation, the quartz had been measured incorrectly by an employee. It was at least 12" too long. As a result, it had to be cut in our kitchen. This caused immense amounts of dust in our newly painted and renovated main floor and kitchen. However, one of my biggest concerns is the cutter/installer. He had one of the biggest chips on his shoulder in the county. He and his various helpers came in with boots on with no offer to slip on covers. He was unpleasant to deal with on the three occasions he came into our home. We had to repaint the kitchen due to handprint marks on the walls, dust on the floors etc. We had not been advised the older cupboards may be not perfectly level and thus encountered problems with the quartz and a gap between the cupboards. The second visit we sustained further damages with pictures sent to the owner. No apology. Future visits attempted to give me a seam colour that would match better. That proved unsuccessful. Then I was told some quartz products have matching seam colours which could have been ordered. The biggest problem was the attitude. On the way out of our home, I was told by the installer he would not cut a second bread board for me. He never did regardless of numerous calls to the salesman who promised we could have two. Remember, we paid for quartz that had to be cut off because of incorrect measurements by the employee. Surely, we owned that quartz! Numerous calls to the owner proved fruitless as well. Apparently, the cutter makes the decisions in this business. My advice, steer clear.

They lure you in with their reputation and their…read morefancy show room and act super professional in the beginning - but the fact is they require $550 for an in person quote, and 50% down before starting... as soon as they received my 50% down payment (you should never do this, 50% gives the corporation far too much power) all of a sudden it's like a switch is flipped and they treat you completely different. That's because they have successfully trapped you, after that all promises of high quality, timely work, and project management that is supposed to be all of high standards, given the premium price points and additional costs of this "professional" establishment, stop existing. They then higher random 3rd party contractors for the bulk of the project for the cheapest prices - while charging you top dollar. They don't hold them accountable, and they don't care. You will have to beg to get them to show up, and beg for them to come back when round 1 ends up being such low quality work that you'll need a re-do. They do this on purpose because a lot of people want to avoid the headache and will accept the low quality work. Avoid this corporate nightmare, they deliberately will try to cut corners on you, they force you to manage your own project, and ultimately you'll realize you got completely taken advantage of. The time frame for the project they present is a lie. The high quality and professionals they promise it a lie. You need to beg to get their experienced pros - they will send you random workers they find who barely know what their doing for the first round - then give you the better workers if you complain. Get ready to get on your hands and knees begging for your project to get focused on while you try to compete with 10+ other people begging for their project to get done at the same time. They over schedule and don't care because all they care about is getting you wrapped up in the predatory contract and then that's it, you're trapped. Find businesses that don't have these predatory business practices, go directly to places and work with them directly. You don't need a glorified middle man to "manage" the project for you, it's nonsense - it actually overcomplicates the project and they don't manage anything anyways, they make you become a full time project manager or things will never get done - or be such low quality that it'll appear your premium priced project was a DIY job. If you respect your time, money, and soul, you won't use KSI corporate nightmare.
