The installers arrived exactly when they said they would and got right to work. The entire process took them about 4 hours, including removing the old countertops. Primo and Mark were both so nice and answered all of our questions. I would definitely recommend Primo's to anyone who was looking to replace countertops!

It had the original cabinets from the 1970s. The shelves weren't even, and there was barely any counter space to work with. We knew we wanted to replace all the cabinets, get quartz counterop, and upgrade the layout to be more functional. We called another competitor first, and they quoted us that the bare minimum of what we were asking for would be over $45,000, which was more than twice our budget. When we met Bill, he wasn't pushy or salesy. We told him our budget and what we were looking for, and he was able to meet every expectation. It took about 8 weeks for our cabinets to come in/be made. Immediately after that, Joe and the crew came and completed our kitchen renovation within 2 weeks. My partner and I work from home, and the renovation did not disturb our workflow at all. I wanted a granite countertop for my main floor bathroom vanity. We looked around from this place…read moreall the way down to the multitude of granite shops south east of Lake Orion in Shelby/Sterling Heights. We didn't want anything fancy so we found a classic looking Gaillo Ornamental. All the shops must order from the same place because they all have this style. Long story short, MCG had the best price for what I wanted. The ordering process was pretty simple and I was able to come to an agreement on the details and price over the phone which was nice instead of having to come in again to the store. Frank came out within 3 business days to do the measurements (I did call on Friday early afternoon). The installation was scheduled for a week later but luckily there was an opening a few days before. We scheduled for Thursday from 1-3pm. I asked for a 30min lead time so I could leave work and meet them at the house. 1pm went by, 2pm, I called Frank at 3pm and he said that they got held up on another job and would definitely finish that day. I went home early from work to meet them. They didn't show up to my house until 4:30pm. Frank did text me 15 min before they arrived, but I really could have used more advanced notice and a more reliable time (I'm sure most people don't have as flexible of work schedules). The installers were very nice and made sure to let me know everything that they were doing. Really nice guys. They finished in about an hour. After they left I noticed that they didn't clear caulk an area where the counter met the backsplash and there was caulk residue on the countertop that I had to razor blade off. Both I fixed without effort, but I felt there could have been more attention to detail. The holes for the cold side valve were also off center from the other two holes. There was enough play in the valves that I could make it work and the beauty ring would cover it, but again I wanted more attention to detail especially since it was such a small piece. The finished product had great fit/finish once everything was done. Overall, it was a good experience and I would buy from them again. If the installers just took a little more attention to the small details it would be a perfect experience. It really does look great. I would order from them again and just check out the work before they leave. Update: The owner called me when I mentioned the issues and he had someone out the next day to fix the small issues. Great service. I still would give them 4 stars because it could have been done the first time, but I wouldn't hesitate to use them again or recommend them to another person.

He was very polite and knowledgeable about granite and overall experience. They say it takes two weeks from the date they receive the slab order you pick out. That is indeed true. I had a very specific granite vision of what I wanted. I went to a few suppliers and found the one I wanted. However, when it came in, the slab was cracked and MGE did not want me to be disappointed as they genuinely cared about the finished product and quality. We sent it back. Then, Kleopatra called me and offered to come with me to the suppliers to help me look at the granite and inspect it herself. I was so relieved and was blown away with how she went above and beyond to keep me informed of everything and to ensure I chose the granite we would be satisfied with long term. We ended up picking Avalon White from MSI. She inspected it and showed me which part of the slab they would use. I was reassured and so excited! Their prices are competitive and cost effective for their customers. The install team was outstanding. Our home is a historical home built in 1884, so the ground isn't as leveled. They stayed for 6 hours reconfiguring until it was perfect. They wanted to ensure it looked pristine and they do!! We love them and would highly recommend MGE to anyone. The entire process of working with Home Depot was an absolute nightmare from the beginning. Once we FINALLY got our cabinets installed, we had their countertop people come in and measure. At that time, they said it would be 2-3 weeks max. After the 2 weeks had passed, I called the company to see when they would be scheduling the installation and was told that they did not know when we would get our countertops as the stone was still sitting on a boat. No ETA, no "I'm Sorry's" just miserable customer service. This is at the end of Nov. The process started with Home Depot in Aug. They ruined my Thanksgiving holiday and were about to ruin my Christmas holiday. I called them to tell them I wanted a refund on my countertops and that I would find another company to install them. They told me no one would have it or get it installed in time, but I could do it if I wanted. Well, I was referred to Preferred Marble and Granite and from the date of my call to instillation it was less than 1 week...AND....it was cheaper. They did a superb job with measuring, cutting and installing my countertops. I cannot recommend them enough. For any project you need done, I cannot urge you enough to work with them. They are fantastic, starting with customer service and ordering all the way through the follow-up of the finished result. You cannot go wrong with them.

The salespeople sit at their desks in the back of the room and if they are not expecting you, they don't move or engage you. We had an issue with our granite order and had to select another slab. Our salesman would not even work with us, but directed us to the warehouse and then left. The other salespeople would not help because we were not their customers. What's a customer to do? My advice? Go somewhere else if you want good service.
