Always a pleasure to support this farm just out of a Los Angeles! Nested in the agriculture area outside LA, approximately 30 miles, you will find this farm that has u pick blueberries! Season usually starts in February but it depends on the weather! There are rows and rows of blueberries right next to a strawberry and avocado farm that fortunately does not sell their product! Buckets are 18 dollars! Fill as high as you can, same price! Farm also sells other produce sometimes, like avocados and lemons. Enjoy!

So much fun! For all ages (even 1 year olds). Huge field of blueberries ripe for the picking. They have some benches and tables throughout to bring your lunch and eat at or just sit to take a breather. $18 to fill a bucket and then they price it out proportionally depending how much of the bucket you fill. Plastic bins to back are free. Nice bungalow bathroom. Wash stations with running water to rinse your hands. Definitely want to come back again before the season is over. Can't recommend enough!

What an amazing venue! We looked at multiple venues, all of which were more expensive, and Gerry Ranch was the hands down winner. The look, feel, and flow of the venue is simply beautiful. From the very start the Gerry staff had everything very organized. We used almost all of the needed vendors from Gerry's preferred vendor list. Our day of coordinator has done over 600 weddings, she kept everything moving per plan. Planning a wedding is very stressful. Gerry did an amazing job reducing the planning stress. Everyone attending said this was an amazing wedding. Thanks Gerry Ranch!

    Beautiful ceremony space in June!

This venue and their team are incredible! If you want an a venue that does it all, has great communication, executes wedding day seamlessly, and is stunning this is your place. We had Jaqueline with us from the moment we signed the contract and she answered every question and settled every stress I had. Their preferred vendor list was incredible as well and they are a well oiled machine. Kalen was incredible at the rehearsal and wedding day and makes sure that your wedding day runs smooth and that you're able to focus on what's important and be in the moment. I can't thank the Gerry Ranch team enough for giving me the wedding of my dreams

Highly recommended, will pay a visit next year. Blueberries are really sweet and big, it can maintain fresh in the fridge for almost 2 weeks.

A most beautiful venue with scenery at each wedding point. The vows take place atop a mound overlooking orchards. The staff was great- polite and no one had to wait long for service. There are little enclaves tucked around the property for quiet chats or first glance heart beats. The bride has her own suite to spoil her bridesmaids and get ready for her entrance. And bring a wrap because sunset brings cool ocean breezes in Camarillo.

Beautiful setting and owners are very accommodating. It is an outside venue and cools off in evenings so bring a sweater.

Love, love, love Frog Creek Farm. Can't believe that they have been in business for over a decade…read moreand I just heard about them recently. We had been to another lavender farm in the upper Ojai Valley some years ago and I was looking for that info to return. That one has closed, but thankfully, Frog Creek Farm is a wonderful "find" for us. The lavender full blossom season is short, so you need to check on them via social media to find out when they are open. Instagram has current info. It's a delight to pull off the Ojai/Santa Paula Road and mosey on to their property. They have so much to see, including their cutting garden of seasonal flowers, some places to sit at picnic tables in the shade and even swing (i.e., hammock), the gift shop, and the lavender rows - the main event. Larry provides a great introduction at the small stand adjacent to the flowering beds. He describes the location and how to identify the five kinds of lavender they offer for cutting. For 2025 pricing - $16 earns you a generous bunch of fragrant blooms. After orientation, you are off with a basket to collect the stems, and scissors to do your own cutting / harvesting. As promised, the plentiful bees scattered away as we leaned in to cut the stems close to the main host bushes. We wandered among the rows and filled up our gathering basket. Back at the stand, Larry tied our haul into a beautiful bunch. We proceeded to the gift shop to pay for our pickings, and I also found a few other items to purchase, including lavender-infused spray which has many purposes. Christel greeted us as we were wrapping up our visit. She filled us in as we asked questions about how long they'd been there, as well as about some of their products. She's as sweet and charming as the farm is. What a lovely place to visit. We'll be putting it on the to-do list next summer, for sure!

From the personal lavender lesson, to the hands on cutting, shopping the lavender shed to sipping amazing lavender lemonade under the trees, it's such a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. Christel and Larry are just the nicest people. They make you feel so welcome to be visiting their little slice of heaven. We love this annual tradition.

I saw a social media post about this place earlier this year. I knew I had to make it a point to…read morecome and check it out on their opening weekend. It definitely did not disappoint. It's located in the beautiful city of Moorpark. Somewhat situated in a semi residential street. There's no parking lot, just street parking. We came around 10 am and there was already quite a bit of people there. There's a sign at the front that says to pick at your own risk. The regular customers came prepared with big buckets or wagons and pruners. They have medium sized white buckets you can borrow at the entrance to collect your persimmons. Then you make your way up the hill, which is pretty steep. There are lots of fully ripened persimmons on the trees of varying sizes. They had another section further up that was still cordoned off, perhaps not yet ripe. They have two different varieties of persimmon trees throughout the farm. We had a blast picking persimmons for a good hour. The persimmons are sweet and at $1.50 a pound definitely worth it! We got about 25 pounds which will last us quite a while. I'd definitely come back again next year prepared. *** I wouldn't recommend it for elderly with difficulty walking since the hill has some steep areas and is not level. Also beware with toddlers walking around by the trees as there are several small branches sticking out that are perfectly eye level. Today there was a woman that had a nasty fall while picking. Paramedics had to come and take her to get medical assistance.

Messaged her but no response. Would give 0 stars but there's none here. So 1 star it is. Would not…read morebe coming back here because I found a better place for U-pick persimmons and cheaper!
