Attended a wedding with temperatures hitting high 90s unfortunately. Tons of seating throughout the vineyard/garden some shaded and some not. My only complaint was that the seating for wedding ceremony was only half shaded and half not. Many guest including myself ended up standing up for the ceremony to be on the shaded side. Since it was prompt at 4:30pm, sun wasn't set enough for shade to cast over both sides. Bride and groom opted for Hosted Full Bar service, it was great. There were only 2 bartenders but they were quick. At times there were lines but that also moved quickly. Food was good, buffet style. Wood Fired Prime Angus Tri-Tip was pretty tender and juicy. Tequila Lime Chicken Breast wasn't dry but wasn't the juiciest, overall flavorful. read more

This review is for the U-Pick blueberries at Gerry Ranch. Between Moorpark and Camarillo. What a great way to spend 1-3 hours with family or friends! Everyone can get a big blue bucket and fill it with the sweetest, plumpest blueberries! If the kids don't want to put their blueberries together, the employees just look and guesstimate half/ third etc if a bucket. It is $18 a bucket but that is SO MUCH! 3 of us picked about a half a bucket in 45 minutes so it was about $9. There are about 60 long rows to pick, chairs or benches at the end of each row and restrooms if needed. We have come with 3-15 year olds and always have a really nice time. Before you come make sure their blueberries are in season, wear shoes that can be a bit dirty and bring water bottles. Have fun! They are all so nice and helpful! Open until 4....ish. read more

I had a lovely time at the wedding of my cousin's son at the Ranch. Now, I have no idea how much the wedding costs, but the venue was very nice and the food and service were good. The wedding itself was in one part of the site, with avocado trees flanking the spot and an orchard and the hills beyond the alter. The dining area was nice, and the vegan dinner (I think they had butter for the bread and cream for the coffee, so vegan meal...) was well executed and tasty. read more

Always a pleasure to support this farm just out of a Los Angeles! Nested in the agriculture area outside LA, approximately 30 miles, you will find this farm that has u pick blueberries! Season usually starts in February but it depends on the weather! There are rows and rows of blueberries right next to a strawberry and avocado farm that fortunately does not sell their product! They have some benches and tables throughout to bring your lunch and eat at or just sit to take a breather. $18 to fill a bucket and then they price it out proportionally depending how much of the bucket you fill. Plastic bins to back are free. Nice bungalow bathroom. Wash stations with running water to rinse your hands. Definitely want to come back again before the season is over. My fiancé and I began the process of planning our wedding here, signed a contract to have our wedding 11 MONTHS OUT, and unfortunately had to pull out due to a severe health crisis in the family that requires us to spend lots of money on healthcare. We pulled out the same month we signed the contract, only had one 30min meeting that we offered to pay her for, and gave her 11 MONTHS notice, and despite hearing about our family situation and how much money it would cost us to support our family, she withheld $4,000.00 to no detriment to her business. We came for the u-pick blueberries. It was so amazing. Easy to find and I love how organized the whole farm is. There is lots of space and plenty of bushes to pick from. There has to more than 60 rows of blueberries. It's surrounded by avocado trees and it's on a beautiful hillside. The Gerry family is awesome. There are even bathrooms! A definite must try. We had our wedding at Gerry Ranch in September 2021 and it was absolutely wonderful. The venue is gorgeous, photogenic from every angle, and easy for guests to navigate. We had to postpone our original wedding date in 2020 (twice!) and Jaclyn at Gerry Ranch was so helpful when we had to make those decisions. The planning process was really smooth, and they gave us a great list of recommended vendors to help build our dream team. Eventually we worked with Corinne on the day-of coordination. Corinne kept everything going smoothly on the day so we never had to worry. Ken, the venue owner, was present at our rehearsal as well as before the wedding, and you can tell he and his family really love hosting weddings at their ranch. Went here for the Blueberries. It was a great time and lots of fun. The owners give you a bucket(1/2 gallon or so and we go into the field and fill them up. The berries are super sweet and good. Loved picking our own blueberries at Gerry Ranch! We paid $2.50 per 6 oz clamshell. They're open limited hours for picking in April and May. Best bet is to check out their Facebook page: https://m.facebook.com/GerryRanchWeddings/ They provide blue pails for you to use. We filled one and a half pails and ended up with 9 clamshells. I wish the blueberries were organically grown...otherwise they're perfect! The views of the Santa Rosa Valley are beautiful--mountains and avocado and citrus orchards. Perfect way to spend an hour or two with your kiddos, and then a great excuse to make a pie! read more

Let me start off by saying this place is absolutely gorgeous. My wife and I had our wedding planned out and were extremely excited to have our day here. We placed our deposit down and during our planning found out we were going to have a baby. My wife and I ended up doing a much smaller wedding to save up for our baby. We reached out to see if there could be anything done to refund our deposit, but to no avail. They have a shockingly strict non-refundable deposit. While ideally they would've been kind enough to refund it as our priorities changed, I'm posting here as a notice to anyone else- they advised me that our deposit was transferable. Do not trust Jaclyn who runs the Weddings at Gerry Ranch as well as the mandatory rental company - Casi Cielo. She was very rude and unprofessional to my wedding planner, which in turn which in turn was an accusation against me. If I could, I would her 0 stars on this review. She also got my previous review booted from YELP - Shame on you because she doesn't want the negative review to reflect against her. My wedding planner, Tricia tried to sort some things out for me in regards to rental items we were provided by Jaclyn's rental company, Casi Cielo Events & Flowers. I wanted to request a refund on the chargers we rented & get a receipt for heaters we rented, which was never given to us since the wedding. Jaclyn made an unauthorized credit card charge for the heaters without alerting us, which I feel is illegal. Every other charge we made w/ Gerry Ranch or Casi Cielo prior, Jaclyn requested a credit card authorization form, which had our name, credit card #, amount allowed to be charged & a signature, but this was not done at all for the last bill. Everything at the wedding turned out beautiful in terms of the layout and the rentals, except I noticed the 148 gold chargers we rented from Casi Cielo were scratched up w/ black marks, looked old & seemed cheaply made; mine even had a square mark in the center. I informed my planner, Tricia & the day-of coordinator, Krista about the situation & took photos of the chargers at the wedding. I was disappointed because when I had seen their rentals prior at the Gerry Ranch Showcase on 4/9/17 and the Casi Cielo Event & Flower's open house on 4/2/17. The chargers available to rent from her company came in gold, silver & rustic & were in perfect condition when I saw them. They all looked like they were purchased from Pottery Barn or Crate & Barrel, where they were the same material on both sides. We also wanted to get 2 heaters refunded since they were not working the night of the wedding. Each heater cost about $75-$100 each to rent & we rented 8-9 of them. My planner, Tricia emailed Jaclyn recently in a professional manner to get this situation resolved. But when Jaclyn replied back - it was very unprofessional, rude, defensive & aggressive about everything. She told us problems that happened at the wedding, which she had not informed to either of us at all. After Tricia replied back nicely to Jaclyn's aggressive email, Jaclyn replied back to her, "Please do not contact me again. You will not be working at our venue again. Thanks." I was very shocked and appalled by her behavior especially when it only about asking for a partial refund and receipts. Jaclyn's email implied Tricia and myself were lying about the chargers & I must've been confused because Gerry Ranch/Casi Cielo have not had a showcase since 2015. I was not confused because I attended both events. There are 2 flyers I've posted to show there was a showcase at Gerry Ranch on 4/9/17 & the Casi Cielo Open House on 4/2/17. Does Jaclyn not know the events that she held for her own venue/rental company? Also - Jaclyn claimed her, and Chantal from Casi Cielo were there at Gerry Ranch monitoring our wedding the whole time. I never saw them once & I know what they look like. The only person who helped us out was, Scott, Jaclyn's brother-in-law, who was very nice. Plus, if they were there the whole time - wouldn't they have told us if there was something we weren't allowed to do at the venue, like moving the arch and do it themselves? Or even inform us after the wedding of the problems she mentioned - such the florist not showing up after the wedding or cleanup? We weren't aware of any problems, so how were we supposed to know? Read her mind? She didn't bother to alert us after almost 2 weeks since wedding. She only informed us after Tricia contacted her. If you plan on having a wedding at Gerry Ranch - I don't recommend it at all because Jaclyn is the contact for Gerry Ranch & Casi Cielo Events & Flowers is the mandatory rental company. If you plan on using Casi Cielo for your wedding (outside of Gerry Ranch) I don't recommend it either. Jaclyn's unprofessional, rude, and aggressive behavior towards my planner, vendors and myself was inappropriate, therefore I would never want to work with her again. She charged us illegally without an authorized signed payment form for my extra rentals & now she won't give us a receipt of the charges. I don't understand why she couldn't admit she was wrong when she definitely was. Nobody is perfect, but how she reacted to a simple request is beyond my comprehension. read more

So I have been looking at venues over the past month spending a significant amount of time and stress into it and I narrowed my search down to a couple including Gerry Ranch. I will admit that after touring there I thought it was beautiful and would make the perfect venue for my outdoor wedding amongst the fields of produce. I put a hold on the date I wanted and told them I would come to a decision within 1-2 days but that I was excited about it and that I was sure my fiancé would be too. However, when we sent them an email the day after saying we wanted to book that date they said that they accidentally gave that date to another couple that was touring with a different rep of the Ranch so it must have been a communication error or something. They offered us an earlier date at a somewhat discounted rate that wouldn't work for us and would be during the middle of summer when it's hotter than we would like. We asked if they could give us a discounted deal on a later date when it was cooler but they refused-probably because they could get more money else where since my guest list would only be 80-100. So Jaclyn the owner told this other couple yes and didn't think to let us know as one is supposed to when you have a hold on a date and didn't even tell us that it was taken until after we told them we wanted it. Basically, I feel that Jaclyn was unprofessional and left me feeling sad and frustrated as it took a lot for me to finally commit to a venue only to have them give it to someone else without telling me when I had a hold on it. :( This venue sure looks nice but I hope no one else has to go through the experience I had. read more

I had an absolutely horrific experience dealing with Jaclyn during the coronavirus pandemic. Gerry Ranch along with their sister company, Casi Cielo were the only vendors who refused to refund our deposits due to the cancellation of our wedding. Most of our relatives were coming in from out of the country or thousands of miles away, making it impossible to hold the wedding this year, especially considering the costs. Gerry Ranch's solution? Provide an additional deposit to reserve a date next year! Why would we give their company additional money when the Company has been so horrible to work with this year?! We as a nation do not know what the future holds and when a vaccine or the eradication of the virus will allow us to congregate again, so booking another date next year only to have to cancel it is not a solution to our problem. I understand that this pandemic impacts everyone, but the wedding industry is about customer service and, unfortunately, they lack the service mindset. I've accepted that we will not receive back our deposits and the purpose of this review is not to extract a refund. It is more simply to let other couples know that when they weigh their options in these uncertain times - Gerry Ranch and Casi Cielo are not to be trusted with your money. When we are rebook our wedding (hopefully) in the future, it will not be at Gerry Ranch. read more

From day one we have loved working with the Gerry's. We are getting married later this summer, and at every step the Gerry's have been so helpful with everything. We have stopped back quite a few times to visit and meet with vendors/coordinators and they are always so welcoming and it feels like they are welcoming you into the family. Mr. Gerry has even given us a tour or the orchards on his golf-cart, and even gave us some freshly picked blueberries as a parting gift at one of our visits! So nice! Also, I can't speak highly enough of the venue. It is gorgeous! Yesterday I was honored with officiating the wedding of my longtime hockey friends at Gerry Ranch. WOW. Just WOW. From the rehearsal on Saturday to the last person leaving on Sunday, everything was absolutely flawless. The scenery is certainly something to behold, yet it was the people that made this venue so great. Being the officiant chosen by the couple, I cannot say whether the DJ, Catering, and Coordinator all came from Gerry Ranch specifically but there must have been impeccable communication amongst them all because of how well everything came out. We recently had our wedding here - and couldn't be happier with the decision. Gerry Ranch is incredibly beautiful, it has three lawns surrounded by blooming flowers, citrus and avocado trees, and rows of blueberry bushes. The three lawns are perfect for holding the ceremony, cocktail hour, and wedding reception.
