Small quick service food and beer in Busch Garden's Oktoberfest. Food is pre-made, stored in a heated glass case. Even with our all-season dining plan, this place is below average. My daughter's pizza pretzel had a long hair baked into it; when she brought it back, cashier agreed "that's nasty" but the food counter employee, Breanna, rudely questioned the return as if we were plotting. Eventually replaced it, rightfully so for $9 served with nothing but dipping sauce. My pretzel dog ($8) was greasy and overcooked. Worse, I was unable to receive a $0.89 dipping sauce with it despite having a $20 entree entitlement. Other fam described their sandwiches as mediocre and semi-stale. Perhaps the beer is worth waiting in line but we'll likely skip this on future visits.

Visiting from out of town. Made reservations for a Friday evening and had no trouble getting in,…read morealthough it was busy. My husband was pleased with the offerings of beer and enjoyed what he had. WE had Boat Cheese Curds with Marinara as an appetizer and they were quite good. I ordered Fried Crab Claw Cakes that came with potatoes and a slaw. All were very tasty. My husband got the Chicken and Sausage Jambalaya and loved it. We took desserts for later at the hotel: My husband's brownie was good and they packed the ice cream separately, so that made him happy. I had the peach cobbler, and while good -- I tend to like my peaches a bit more "peachy" ....they use lots and lots of cinnamon and allspice. The fruit was dark brown. Good, but not what I'd hoped for.

We ordered a Diners burger, Virginia burger, and house wings. The Burgers were borderline inedible due to the huge amount of salt. If i had been dining in I would have sent it back. I would not feed that much salted meat to my dog. The burgers dampness also had literally demolished the lower bun and iceberg lettuce. So i had to disgard those sodding blobs. The Virginian burger also salty, and the crab cake, small and underwhelming. The Chicken wings tasteless and dry. On too of this i had no choice but to pay a 10% tip for "take out prepare ". If i can give zero i would. Id say "fire the chef"

My two brother in laws gave her a run for the money and she didn't miss a step. I enjoyed watching the show. Lunch fare was typical bistro style food, but they made it delicious. We started with homemade chips for the table and we got down to ordering. I had the Waygu burger and my wife had the salmon burger. Both were overly generous in size, quite filling, and reasonably priced. I really didn't see what the rest of the family had due to my place at the end of the table, but everyone seemed to enjoy their meals. We ended with each couple sharing a large warm fresh baked cookie. I'm looking forward to them opening a location closer to St. Louis!

The ambiance was very nice and way larger than I anticipated. I was nervous for a wait but although it was very crowded for a Tuesday there is ample seating. The food was really good. We had onion rings, sticky ribs, meatloaf, peach flatbread, and and kids burgers and pizza. The ribs were outstanding! So happy I threw them in the order last minute. Meatloaf was good and the flatbread was quite delicious. Kids enjoyed their food as well. Onion rings as well, can't go wrong. All in all a great meal at a nice looking restaurant and will definitely recommend it to others!

I rarely leave negative reviews, especially for locally owned businesses, but my experience at…read moreCook's on October 25 was disappointing enough that I felt compelled to share it. What makes it even more frustrating is that I reached out to the restaurant directly the following day, hoping to give management an opportunity to address the situation before posting a public review. Four days later, I have received no response. Unfortunately, that silence has only reinforced the impression that customer satisfaction is not a priority. My wife and I were enjoying an evening in Williamsburg with another couple. I recommended Cook's because I had previously enjoyed both the food and atmosphere. Unfortunately, while the food was once again very good, the service was among the worst I have experienced in quite some time. After being seated and provided water, we waited approximately 20 minutes without anyone acknowledging our table. During that time, the booth beside us was cleared, cleaned, and seated with new customers whose orders were taken while we continued to wait. I attempted twice to get the attention of passing employees before finally having to raise my voice just to ask someone to send our server over. When our server finally arrived, there was no apology, no acknowledgment of the delay, and very little courtesy. She took our orders with an indifferent attitude that made us feel more like an inconvenience than welcomed guests. Unfortunately, the service never improved. Our drinks took another 15-20 minutes to arrive, and once our food was delivered, our server never returned to check on us. No drink refills, no inquiry about our meals, and no attention whatsoever. We eventually had to request our checks, which were incorrect despite having specifically asked that they be separated by couple. The irony is that the food was excellent. Every person at our table enjoyed their meal. But good food alone cannot compensate for service that makes customers feel completely unimportant. Three of the four people at our table have worked in the restaurant industry. We understand that restaurants get busy, mistakes happen, and employees have difficult days. We weren't expecting perfection. A simple apology, a little courtesy, or even the slightest effort to make things right would have completely changed our experience. Instead, four customers left with little desire to return. I was particularly disappointed because I had recommended Cook's to our friends. As we left, my wife said, "I never have to come here again." Our friends expressed essentially the same sentiment. Rather than immediately posting a negative review, I took the time to send a detailed, respectful email to the restaurant on October 26. I explained our experience, complimented the food, and made clear that I wasn't seeking anything complimentary or special. I simply wanted management to be aware of what happened and hoped to hear their perspective. No response. Not even a brief acknowledgment. That may be the most disappointing part of this entire experience. Poor service on one evening can be an isolated incident. Ignoring a customer who takes the time to provide thoughtful feedback creates an entirely different impression. I live in Williamsburg and genuinely enjoy supporting local restaurants. Dining out is expensive, and when customers choose to spend their hard-earned money at an establishment, they should reasonably expect to be treated with basic courtesy and respect. Cook's clearly knows how to prepare good food. Unfortunately, based on our experience and the lack of response afterward, I am left questioning whether they place the same importance on taking care of their customers. Good food brings people through the door. Good service brings them back. Unfortunately, Cook's gave four satisfied diners very little reason to return.

I have had an awful week of work and needed a drink and fun atmosphere to de-stress. We walked in and sat at a high top and immediately someone came to take our order and explain the specials. She was extremely friendly!! I decided on a beer and cheeseburger and fries. The beer came right away and was amazing. The beer, liquor, wine and cocktail selection is vast and impressive!! I went for the tried and true Alewerks because I love everything they make. And indeed, it was cold and hit the spot. Even though I did not give any specific instructions for the cheeseburger, it came out amazing, as did the French fries. I had two more beers (one more Alewerks and the Brass Tap double IPA) before calling it a night. I am blown away by the quality of the food and the service and I cannot wait to return!
