On the night before a road trip, I discovered a tire in my car losing air, the culprit being a nail lodged in. Ace auto repair and tire was the only shop open at 7 in the morning, I walked in without an appointment at 7:30. They removed the nail, patched up the tire and completed the work in an hours time! When I asked them about payment for the service, they refused to charge me for the repair. While waiting in the shop for the repair, I witnessed a bunch of regulars bringing in their vehicles for different kinds of issues. The trust and comfort they had with this shop was something that has been built on with years of excellent service. I've been to other tire shops where I've been overcharged for similar situations because I needed help quickly. Ace auto repair and tire is a refreshing change from those experiences and definitely have me as a long term customer for the future!

I also asked if there was a charge for a flat tire repair & he said no charge if it was fixable. I have a Subaru WRX with an AWD system which can get complicated if one tire is compromised. I visited on a Saturday morning & advised the front staff of my dilemma. I was so anxious thinking that I'd be potentially turned away, but they were courteous to take a look at the patch & I'm forever grateful to Armando for making the determination that my tire was still repairable, then completing the job in less than an hour! And true to word, I wasn't charged for the tire repair. My greatest appreciation to the staff at Ace! I was chilling on the couches nearby the front door - it's bright, spacious & clean inside. I brought the car to Diablo for a second opinion, and they determined that the repair wasn't actually needed -- and they didn't charge me anything. They could have easily sold me expensive work I didn't need. They didn't. On another visit, the scheduled maintenance called for a valve adjustment -- something that normally involves a costly and invasive procedure. Diablo had the proper diagnostic tools to evaluate whether it was actually necessary, determined it wasn't, and saved me a significant amount of money. I also once brought my car in because I was concerned there might be exhaust fumes getting into the cabin. They took the time to evaluate it, drove the car, and checked everything -- and again, since there wasn't actually a problem to fix, they didn't charge me a dime for their time. They consistently under-promise and over-deliver.
