This is my first time working with German Car Repair. Danny spent a lot of time, effort, and energy to diagnose a bizarre problems that I was having with my 3-series. He finally found the problem, quickly repaired it along with the host of other issues and overdue service that my car needed. He provided us with a very fair price for the work that was completed and kept us updated throughout the process. Highly recommend Danny and the German Car team to anyone with a German import car! Best BMW repair shop in South Florida. I have been going here past 3 years. Wish I had found this place sooner. Excellent at diagnosing the REAL problems not what the dealer tells you. read more

Thank you so much for taking care of my car! You went above and beyond and even went higher than what the dealer tried to do for me. I'm so sorry when I was there yesterday picking up my car that you were dealing with an unruly lady. You and your shop have treated me so well I can't fathom why someone would talk to you like that. I don't blame you for turning her and her vehicle away. I would recommend you to anyone I know. Thank you again for the amazing work! read more

Very reasonable in price and took the car right in without any waiting. I highly recommend them! Had a leak in my Audi Allroad the day I was leaving to head back north. I've been going to German Car Repair for more than a year and have been so busy that I'm Just now getting around to doing a Yelp review. I have an older BMW M3 and "M" cars require someone who knows their stuff due to them being different from standard non-M BMW's. Danny has been instrumental in getting my M3 running as well as possible. He has provided guidance on how to properly maintain the car and has been fair with his prices. It is a totally different experience than going to a dealership, as Danny actually looks out for you! I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a quality German vehicle repair shop, as they are a great business with a great reputation. read more

The owner is extremely rude. He told me over the phone to bring my car in the next morning for an oil change. When I arrived, I asked if I could wait for my car. Immediately he got defensive and in a nasty tonesaid I'd need to pick up my car later on in the day. He did not say anything the day before when we spoke. I had no one to pick me up and I had to leave. He wasted a trip and my time. He claimed that he told me, but he did not. I also checked my text messages and he did not mention that I needed to leave my car. I took my car elsewhere and will not be returning here in the future. Owner's response says it all read more

If I could give zero stars I would. This guy charged me $1000 for a brake sensor fix which I found out later was a unbelievably easy fix. This guy is a scam artist. Did things to my car I didn't ask for and charged me as well. He put on windshield wipers that were worse than my stock ones. DO NOT GO HERE!!!! read more

I have been comming here for months. Danny has always treated me fairly and stood behind his work, to the point of warranty repairing my AC system 3 times due to faulty factory parts. He even offered to cover my next oil change because of my inconvenience. He had to cover his labor three times. Very nice and very professional. My wife and I are customers for life. read more

What a pleasure to find a car repair shop that was super honest. My Mercedes dashboard computer showed 3 malfunctioning lights. In reality once I got there a visual inspection showed that all was fine. And a piece of chrome that I had knocked off he put back. All no charge. It was my second time there but I was too lazy to give a good review the first time. read more

10 out of 5 Stars!!! This is the best auto repair service I have ever utilized to repair my car (BMW M3). The BMW dealer claimed I needed $10k in repairs - Danny and his team quickly diagnosed the problem, and confirmed the dealer was in error. They quoted a fair price and finished the job the same day! I saved over $8k. They are honest, fair, exceptionally skilled and care about their work, the car and most importantly the customer. I'm glad to have a trusted auto repair service to help maintain my car. I recommend them one thousand percent. All the best to the team and hope they maintain their high standards and service level. read more

What a great experience. Danny did a B service on my 2017 S550 Coupe and his customer service was excellent, shop was clean and well organized. Saved me nearly $500 then what a dealership would have charged for the same OEM service. If that wasn't enough, he detailed the car and changed the battery in the key fob. Would not hesitate to go back and recommend his shop to friends. read more

They scratched my car and said I did it. I am OCD about my car and keep it in pristine shape. I cannot say how displeased I was with them and their inability to take responsibility for their lack of attention to detail. Moreover, their shop is dirty with parts on the floor to a degree that one needs to step over them. I should have gone with my instinct and kept on driving. read more

Update on this shady establishment. I took my car to BMW and as suspected the oil leak at the timing chain cover that I now own is due to the excessive oil pressure caused by overfilling the car with oil. In addition, BMW has informed me that they did not change the brake fluid like they said they did and charged me for it. Just another typical SE FL shady bastard looking to line his pockets with money from the locals who can afford the high end German cars. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SNAKE! read more

Danny was great to deal with, professional and knowledgeable about my VW Turbo. We just went for an oil change and a few other normal maintenance items but we will be back if we need anything else. It's not easy to find professional, reliable car repair services in South Florida. read more

My BMW convertible had a headlamp bulb malfunction and a fuel leak, so I checked out shops in my area (Wellington), and all of them tried to convince me that to get a new bulb would itself be a $1,000 job with parts and labor because they said an assembly would need to be changed out because it always goes bad. This was a flat out lie. Danny, the owner of German Car Repair, was the only guy to be willing to do ONLY what I needed, which was to get the bulb swapped out. Danny also suggested I just go on eBay and purchase two bulbs so I don't have to pay the retail price on the cost of the bulbs, then he would just change them both out for me for the cost of labor. He also texted me a photo of the correct brand and size to get, and suggested I also upgrade the bulbs to a more powerful bulb so they're brighter and better, and they are awesome now. As for the fuel leak, I needed a new fuel pump and sender unit, which they repaired in around 2 1/2 hours, which normally is a 4-5 job for many shops. I actually saved a ton of money on labor because he also was willing to clean gasoline that leaked into my backseat, diagnose and fix a bad fuse, check my tire pressure, and reset my pressure monitor all for FREE because I was a new customer and needed that extra work. This shop is nowhere near where I live, but I drove to Boca because of his reputation and because not only did he have the best prices, he was the ONLY dealer out of the last 5 that I tried who was honest with me. Places locally here always try to sell me service and extra crap that I don't need but Danny did not. He even took the time to talk to me and walk me through some maintenance things I didn't know about my car. This guy Danny is a Godsend, and I'm relieved I've finally found an honest mechanic who doesn't try to screw you on the parts. He communicates with you and will always be fair when he can. read more

I brought my car for a repair estimate. I spoke with Dani the owner and he said around 2000. I explained that I would need to know if it was higher or lower and he started yelling at me saying, " I don't wan to fix your car." He gave me a quote of 2000-3000 dollars. I asked him for an exact estimate before allowing him to work on it since I don't want to be hit with a bill I didn't agree too. Fast-forward, I took my car to Vista BMW (where I have historically serviced it) and they said it needed front brakes and a thermostat. There was nothing wrong with the break fluid or the rear breaks. Please be careful and make sure you get an honest quote. I fear this place feasts on Boca residents who know nothing about cars. The car ended up needing 1000 dollars of repairs. If you need your car fixed see Tyson at Vista BWM in Coconut Creek. I should never have brought my car to this shop. Also keep in mind, just because he has some good reviews means nothing. A lot of times business pay friends and relatives to post good reviews. Please do not let yourself get taken. read more

Having recently moved to Boca, we needed someone to service our 2 foreign cars. While (fortunately) we didn't need too much work done, Danny was so responsive and helpful that I can't recommend him highly enough. Most recently, I called to ask if he could service a Hyundai and he told me to stop in so he could take a look. When I arrived, he stopped working on the BMWs, Audis and Maseratis, quickly assessed the situation, and took care of the problem right there and then. It was so minor a fix, he refused my offer to pay for his services, saying, "you're a client, so don't worry about it". Seriously? He spent about 45 minutes or so figuring out what needed to be done and then fixing the problem, and he didn't want to be paid?? You just don't get that type of service or attitude today very often. While I hope that we have no major mechanical issues with my cars, you can be sure that we'll be back to German Car Repair if we do. Don't hesitate to give Danny a call. read more

Recommend this auto repair shop - owner helpful in diagnosing and consultative as to what's the best course of action for the customer, not necessarily what made him the most money - that's the sign of a good businessman looking for a long term relationship with a customer in my opinion. So I found Danny's shop on Yelp and decided to take my 2013 BMW 528i in for a oil change and service check . I called Danny and ahead of time to get a feel for the shop and he was not only professional but very knowledgeable about German cars and especially BMWs. He shed light on the services and things I needed and also worked out a great deal. I defiantly will be back for business instead of Going to the Dealership come see Danny great guy highly recommend. read more

We found this shop on line when we had a problem with our BMW. The owner of the shop was there and took our car in immediately to begin trouble shooting, even though they were supposed to close in :30 min. Within minute he and two other people were working on the car and had the problem solved. In a world that it is hard to find someone to provide you with good service, we were pleased to find a place that wanted to help. I would recommend them any day. read more

I own a 2005 Audi Avant and am very particular who I have work on my car. When I lived in Chicago I had a wonderful garage that treated my car as their own and the owner is honest, fair and trustworthy. After I moved to Florida, I tried 3 garages until I found Danny, owner of German Car Repair. I don't write a lot of reviews unless the business deserves it and GCR does. GCR gets 5 stars because Danny uses text to respond to questions and does it quickly, he sends photos of the parts that were installed and the parts removed. He went above and beyond to make me happy by swapping out my battery free of charge, Sears would have charged $139 and would be a 2-hour wait. Slone, one of Danny's mechanics replaced it for free. Pricing is comparable to other shops, but they know German cars and they do it right once unlike other garages that tend to rush the repair through half-assing it. I highly recommend GCR as they know what they're doing and care about your experience. read more

Went here for my BMW and was impressed with their honesty and knowledge of BMWs. Looking forward to returning next time.

I've never found a better mechanic shop. I have a MBenz and I've called these guys when I needed anything done. I brought it in for a repair and they were honest enought to tell me the repair is still under warranty and have MB fix it. After I brought it to MB, MB fixed the repair and told me it needed another repair that wasn't under warranty. Brought it back here and they told me and showed me why the repair wasn't needed. If you're not coming here for your MB non warranted repairs, then you should. Even if you think your warranty doesn't cover it, bring it here, they'll tell you if it is. Now that's what I call a great shop. The shop and waiting area is always organized and clean. read more

This shop really knows how to please customers. Danny always makes sure I am satisfied with the repair, and definitely does a great job for a lot less than any BMW dealer in the area - I highly recommend them. If you have a German car you can take it to a dealer, pay the high prices, or take it to a "Tire Kingdon/Firestone/ etc but you won't get the same quality of parts, the filters will not be the same as from BMW or do it right - go to German Auto Repair. Danny called me told me I have a blown turbo on my Audi A4 and quoted me $1500 and told me to rush and send him the authorization to start the repair well I called back few minutes later and when I said I didn't want to do the repair because i was thinking of just selling the car he all the sudden said that he reattached some hose that came loose and my car is running again now I'll let the people decide if I have a supposed "blown turbo" on a turbo engine car then my car would hardly be drivable yet he is now telling me after I didn't want to get the turbo repaired that my car is now apparently running smoothly. It seemed very fish also on the receipt he gave me it also stated "might be defective turbo" yet over the phone he told me it was blown. All in all I would definitely not recommend going here just save your money and save yourself the headache. read more

This was my first time here and was greatly impressed. Danny was terrific explaining what he would do and delivered. First let's talk price. The Mercedes dealer wanted $1100 for my B service with a 2015 car with 9,000 miles. That is way too high for an oil change and lots of inspection items. German Car Repair was $500. Danny did not try to push any additional items and even changed my key batteries at cost of the batteries. I was always afraid to go somewhere else other than the dealer under lease and warranty but saving $700 is well worth the trip here. Highly recommend German Car Repair for quality service, fair prices and a friendly owner. read more

From the moment Danny answered my call, I was comfortable and felt I could trust this gentleman and professional. My German car has been a problem due to the recent emissions scandal, and their dealerships' attempts at recovering the money they have lost due to the buyback class action settlement associated with this make of vehicle. Vista wanted to charge me $3800 for their emissions related issues diagnosed and other services added with the assessment of my vehicle earlier this week, all while knowing the resale value of these vehicles is gone after the highly publicized scandal since October!! Danny gave me an immediate appointment, checked my car, offered me very honest diagnosis and insight, ***charged me absolutely nothing!!!***, and gave me solid advice on the automotive market in general, all with an understanding of what the clients' burden is regarding this problem with diesels from this particular make of vehicle. It felt like I was consulting a friend, not a business. He could have made money, but instead offered what was best for the client. He spent his time and listened!! This is a business with expertise, competence, respect, and honesty very lacking in many businesses today. It is clear his priority is the client and integrity for this profession. read more

Went To another mechanic to check on the prices and the quality of the work done after something had just been broken... long story short... they overcharge and their work is not good.
