I found this place after having multiple issues with the Delray Acura dealership. For an oil change at Delray Acura I would have to leave my car all day, which was a super inconvenience for me with my three young children, on top of the million other issues. Mazel is located right across from Mizner Park. When I come here with my children to drop my car off for an oil change, I am able to walk to Mizner Park and eat and walk around there. Extremely friendly service and the owner is always honest re: your 'real' car problems. Lately, I had an issue with my car computer that I realized if I have to bring to the dealership will cost me a fortune. It's currently 5:07pm. I had been meaning to check out this place for service on my 2015 Honda Civic as oil change was due (15% left) and tires needed to be rotated, since I get them serviced together. It's the first time I've had a car that requires Full synthetic oil so, it has been a bit pricey since former cars, but in these days, you need an honest shop to go to. Mazel, was referred to me by a Yelper who responded to a question that I sent to him regarding needing the aforementioned services. I am grateful as I was at a scheduled doctor's appointment near the hospital and on the way to do some grocery shopping, 'lo and behold, Mazel was right in front of me on Dixie Hwy. It was fate...so, even though I took a chance they were still available to provide service to my car, I was only going to make inquiries as to when I could return. Well, I didn't have to wait. Alex greeted me and Geraldo immediately took my car in to the lift. I watched timidly outside the garage door to see the inner workings as, I have been wronged by another shop that was closer to home that didn't even bother to tell me that my battery had crusted battery acid on top of it. I ended up getting stranded at a doctor's office at the end of the day waiting for a tow truck to tow my car. It was a nightmare and had to get a new battery too!!!! So, in and out, with very little waiting at Mazel. They also have drop off service with a night key drop. Let me start with the positives. An individual gave me a greeting when I drove up that was friendly which I appreciated. Despite them not specializing in tires, they did offer to check my tire pressure which was why I came in. Things went south once communication had to be involved. They have a single lane parking lot. I started to do some turns to pull into their garage because I assumed they required me to enter the garage in order to check my tires and top them off. Upon realization that backing up into the garage was the more logical way to go, I pulled into a parking spot and began to back out. The individual who greeted me clarified that he just needed me to pull up alongside the garage. Great, no problem. I pull alongside the garage and he does his thing. I give him a tip, and I pull back into a parking spot to try a three point turn to get out of the lot. Truck with a hitch on the back starts waiting to enter the lot. Ok, good and dandy. I can't back out of the lot so I'm doing the basic three point turn with all of the cars the garage is working on also in the parking lot (to be expected obviously). I am working on doing my turn and it requires me to back up into the garage in order to complete. I didn't want to assume I could just back up into their garage especially if I was told not to before. i pulled back into the parking spot to continue to work on my turn when someone took it upon themselves to reach into my car and put their hands on my steering wheel. I was so shocked. There no was in between communication like motioning that I could go into the garage. Nothing. Just the escalation to arms in the car going through my rolled down window to drive my car for me. I protested saying I'm not comfortable and I knew how to drive repeatedly. I am immocompromised and this man just throws his arms in my car and his hands all over my steering wheel. Thankfully I'm vaccinated from COVID-19 but if I wasn't I was at serious risk. I'm saying, "Hey, i can drive. Just tell me, can I go into the garage." He was having none of it and steered my car for me out of the parking lot while talking in what sounded like an Eastern European language to his cohorts and ignoring me. The whole situation made me feel incredibly uncomfortable. What started off as a great experience turned into something that was unprofessional and made me feel disrespected. I have NEVER had someone do that to me or even imply that. Push comes to shove you do the hand motions instead of just grabbing someone's wheel. I personally will not be coming back which is a shame since it's so close to where I live. I cant recommend this shop based on my own experience. read more
