I went to Jiffy Lube on Saturday for a simple oil change and tire rotation, in the process, they ended up breaking off three studs from my back right tire and told me to go to Tire Kingdom to fix it. Tire Kingdom looked at it and said they don't want to touch it and there's nothing they can do to fix it as it's Jiffy Lube's responsibility. So now I'm sitting here with a car that is not operable and both shops don't know how to fix it, however, both said I should go to Japanese Auto Care to get it fixed. I came to Japanese Auto Care early Monday morning, fully expecting them to tell me to take it to a Mazda dealership or that they would be too busy to take me. To my pleasant surprise, that was not the case at all. Jimmy immediately said he would be able to get it taken care of and get me up and running same day. Jimmy called around to make sure that someone was able to provide the studs that were specific to my car, and kept me updated along the way. More importantly, while I sat there waiting for my car to be done (in a very clean and comfortable waiting room might I add), lots and lots of people filtered in and out, either picking up or dropping off, speaking to Jimmy as if they were family, considering they have been coming here for so long. Jimmy answered every single phone call that came through no matter how busy he was, and had such a kind and professional demeanor with each individual person he spoke to. Within a few hours I was finally headed home, thanks to Jimmy and team. They were able to do what other "popular" and corporate auto body shops couldn't. By far the best, most professional, knowledgeable and honest repair service I've experienced. I started bringing my Honda here for repairs and service over a year ago, after it broke down and another repair shop wanted huge amounts of money to repair various things they claimed needed fixing. I came to Jimmy at Japanese Auto Care, and it turns out I didn't even need all those other repairs quoted by the other place. I have a 2021 Subaru Forester. Brought it to Japanese Auto Care November 2025 because the air conditioner was blowing warm air. They replaced the O ring and filled it with Freon for a cost of $550. About 3 weeks later, the air conditioner was once again blowing warm air. Japanese Auto Care was closed for 2 weeks during holidays so I brought the car in on Jan 5. Now I am told it is the compressor. This cost me $1700. He tried to also charge for Freon but I told him it wasn't my fault that the compressor issue was not caught the first time and I shouldn't have to pay for more Freon. He agreed. Now 3 weeks later, air conditioner is blowing warm. I am NOT going back since I am out $2200 and they can't fix the problem. I am going to the dealer and having it fixed. read more

First visit, I went for new brakes they replaced two of them, but charged me for tire balancing and a $20 misc fee which they couldn't explain without asking me to approve the work first. I thought it was shady, but my wife convinced me to try again. Second time, I had a slow oil leak and they quoted me around $1500. I wasn't gonna let them cheat me this time so I took it to another repair shop. They fixed it for $450 labor plus $100 in parts. I own a Toyota Camry and the STEALERSHIP (I know it's really dealership...totally said that on purpose) quoted me $600 dollars for an oil, transmission fluid and brake fluid change with tire rotation. I got it done for half that... better than half that, here. Jimmy is a doll. I must have called about a thousand times for the same thing and he was super patient. Quick and easy drop off and pick up. Excellent communication when vehicle was completed. I only regret not coming here sooner. I work nearby and drive by this place everyday! They were very friendly and pulled the car into the garage right away. A few hours later I received a phone call telling me they found the issue. I authorized the repair and asked him to check the whole car out and let me know if he thought it needed anything else. I needed a good auto repair shop for my 2015 Hyundai and called Japanese Auto Care to see about an appointment. Jimmy (the service manager) was very professional and helpful. I didn't expect from an auto repair shop. The day of my appointment was no different. Jimmy greeted me and took some basic info and then asked for the car keys. They were short staffed that day, so Jimmy was working in both the repair bay and attending customers. In a short time he advised me that I needed new brake pads. He told me the rotors were fine. Usually, you should change both rotors and pads at the same time. But Jimmy said "while that is normally what is recommended, it's totally up to you". How refreshing to deal with someone in this industry that is not trying to take advantage of you to get you to spend more money!
