How much does a smog check cost?

I have a 2007 BMW 650i that needs to have the fuel tank replaced , I already have the replacement tank can you guys do the labor?

Thank you for the opportunity, but we do not take cleint supplied parts.

Hi; I have a 2008 bmw 328i. I would like to replace the starter. I have a new starter but I need a technician to replace the old one. I live in Berkeley. Do you come and…

We do not do house calls, nor do we take cleint supplied parts. You should really rethink having a house call type mechanic as their skill level is very low..I would HIGHLY suggest having your vehicle towed to a reputable shop for diagnosis of the… Read more

Do you work on M engines (s54) ? I have an 06 M Roadster with 99k miles. I believe it needs to have manual valve adjustment?

Absolutely, what day works best for you?

Would you be able to quote me on a camshaft sensor replacement for 2007 Audi A6?

We would be more than happy to, we would need either a license plate of VIN number to provide an accurate quote.

Hi. I have a gas cap actuator problem on a 2012 VW Tiguan. I have tried all the easy stuff without success. Is this something you could fix; and do you have an idea re price? Thanks.

We would need to spend some time diagnosing the issue. Qe would start at $225 per hour for diagnosis.

Hi Chris, what if I return those parts and let you do it? Can you quote me the cost? (2 speed sensors for front wheels and thermostat for 2012 SLK 250) Do you use genuine parts or parts made by 3rd party? Also pls advise how long it will take? Tks

We would first start with 1 to 2 hours of diagnosis before offering any pricing as we are not in any hurry to rush to a conclusion. Drop the car off and in a day or so we will calll you with what we have found. Too many shops are quick to offer some… Read more

Hi there, I have a 2012 SLK 250 which needs both front wheel speed sensors and thermostat replaced. Got parts from dealer and wonder if you could put them on and charge me for labor. Let me know how much if you do. Tks. Jeff?

We do not take customer supplied parts regardless of their quality and I think that you will find that most GOOD local Bay Area shops are going to feel the same way. Why did you buy wheel speed sensors that don't go bad, did anyone diagnose your… Read more

North Oakland

10/10 Highly recommend this location due to their stellar customer service. Shout out to NOE…read more(pronounced NO-WAY) who was such a pleasure to work with today. To preface, my battery died about a week ago- I was able to get a jump from a friend and a recommendation to O'Reilly's. I called the Park Blvd location and was told depending on the time of day- I may not be able to get the battery installed because they were short on staff. (1-2 people) This was the case this morning when I called shortly after they opened so I drove to the Broadway location in Piedmont instead after calling and being told they could assist me. Noe was so nice- he tested my battery first (it was a dud) and we walked through the (3) options of batteries I could pick from. He cleaned the inside of the battery area removing all corrosion before installing the new battery. He had me test it out for some minutes before I went on my way. In total, I was probably there no more than 30 minutes. Noe also gave me great recommendations for my tires and mechanic needs when I inquired. I definitely will come back if needed.

Patty rocks! We purchased some replacement wiper blades from this store and the very nice woman…read moreworking there offered to help us (seniors) install them but we were not in that vehicle. We looked online and watched videos but the rear wiper clip was really hard to get off (it had not been removed for years). We came back another day in the vehicle that matched the wiper blades. That same woman wasn't there but Patty kindly offered to help us. She put them in very quickly and was very professional and friendly and even took away the empty packaging when she was done. Thank you Patty!

Wheelskins used to be a good product. I bought one 10 years ago for a previous vehicle that went on…read moreand lasted perfectly. This latest one is pretty poorly made. Apparently the company has also been sold recently as well. A guy named "Jim" used to own it and was very responsive. Whoever the latest crew is doesn't respond to email at all and barely answers the phone. I tried calling today before writing this review and nobody answers. When I called to have the measurements revised a month ago somebody named "Lauren" answered the phone. Evidently it's hit or miss. They're more expensive and the craftsmanship has fallen off. Even with the correct measurements I'm still having to pull and stretch this thing and even use a shoe horn to get it on the steering wheel, so I'm not sure what's going on. I'm also ending up spending an additional $15 at my shoe cobbler to have him stitch the seams (per his suggestion) where Wheelskins has them GLUED ONLY. And speaking of glue, the glue is hard and flaky/crunchy and falls off with the least amount of pressure. It's not even good glue. It looks like the crunch around the rim of a raw honey jar as it ages. So now the $64 Wheelskins which was more expensive than the $50 I spent 10 years ago for the first one, is now almost $80 - to correct THEIR work. Not a good experience. Don't think I'll be reordering unless they fix their quality control and craftsmanship to previous standards. Not cool. Update: 8/8/22 Emailed the company and a gentleman named "Tony" responded with an offer to replace the cover. Took about 4 days to ship it out and another 4 to arrive. I had him add an extra quarter inch on the length and the width and for some reason it was still difficult getting it on but I got it on. Took me two and a half hours to install. I needed a multi-tool (to pull the needle thru the holes), an exacto knife (to create and punch thru some holes), a thimble (to protect from getting stuck with the needle) and lots of patience cuz some of the holes didn't line up correctly, but the finished product was worth the effort. Adding another star.

I bought a battery & was charged $22 + tax on the receipt for the core (old battery). When I…read morebrought my old battery back, the store only refunded me $22 without the sales tax of $2.26. I returned to the store couples times, the staff didn't know what to do & the manager wasn't around. A female staff was very rude & held hostage my receipts, although I asked her to release the receipts back to me several times, she wouldn't & yelling at me that I only eligible for $22 refund, she refused to look at the amount of sales tax printed on the receipt. This is not only about the $2.26 sales tax on the core that wasn't refunded to me, but more about the store reaping off its customers for not having correctly working software in refunding the amount to its customers plus not very knowledgeable staff about the refund process & inapropriate female staff who treated store customer rudely & held hostage customer's receipts. The store & the corporate need to do some deep training to its staff & to correct its software to refund customer's money in full.
