Stay away! I never write online reviews, but need to warn everyone about Gerber in Webster. Our Sienna was rear-ended and brought to Gerber for repair. When we picked it up, the manager lifted the tailgate to show us the repairs. When I walked closer to examine them, he slammed the tailgate closed on my head. I'm sure this was an accident, but I didn't get to examine the repairs closely after that. We took the van home and noticed about a dozen things that were not done correctly (the carpet was all bunched up, the rear wiper assembly was not put on correctly, there were significant gaps between the replaced parts, pieces were missing, paint was done poorly, etc). I called, and they agreed to have us bring it back and they said they were going to fix everything. When we came back to pick it up, I examined things more closely, and everything seemed better except the rear wiper was still misaligned. They said they were going to order a new wiper assembly and call me to have it brought back in when the part arrived. They never called, and we decided to just live with it. Several months later, we noticed that our back up lights weren't working. I purchased new bulbs to replace them, but the new bulbs didn't work either. I needed to disassemble the trim on the tailgate to find that they didn't connect one of the plugs. Once I plugged that in, the back up lights worked again. The following summer, I went to hook up a trailer, but the trailer wiring was missing. I took apart some of the trim, and found the wiring buried inside. I pulled it out and hooked up the trailer, but the lights weren't working. I was able to determine that no power was getting to the plug from the van. I took apart more of the interior trim and found that they did not connect any of the plugs for the trailer wiring. All of the plugs were just dangling. So unless you want to fix all their mistakes yourself, just stay away from Gerber! read more

STAY AWAY FROM HERE!!!!! MY BUMPER FELL OFF THE TRUCK!! The adjusters right on up to and including the manager are lying sacks of......... My truck was there for almost 3 months. The weekly updates are lies and contradict themselves. I had to find parts because the parts guy there is useless. I found a radiator for my truck that they claimed was on backorder, when I called, I was told... and I quote..."we can't find a hood so what's the point of getting the radiator?". Keep in mind GM was on strike, it was the only radiator from here to Indiana, WE NEEDED IT!! also I told them I wanted to re-use my hood. Well, they threw mine in the dumpster and destroyed it!! (current lawsuit). they also billed for work that they did not do. make sure you check the invoice. I reported them to NYS insurance fraud hotline. Oh, and if they make you take the dash came out of your car, it's because of me and my recording. that was detrimental to the lies they told State Farm. Dash cam was recording the entire time. I got my truck back with a check engine light on. Waisted a week for the Manager to get me his "mobile mechanic" who was nothing more than a useless guy with baby's first scan tool! So, after over $18,000 I had to take it to Bob Johnson collision to have it fixed.... another $4,000 in the mechanics shop because they ruined my exhaust (not from accident), then back because they ripped and ruined the mass air flow censor connection (nothing to do with accident), THEN AGAIN because they put the turbo pipe back on backwards and it blew off the truck!!! Then a few days ago we had a stretch of 70s, NO AC but they billed to "charge the system". took it in again, no leaks, they did not put oil in the system or charge it. Another $4500 in body repair because of them. the front brackets they put on FELL OF THE TRUCK!!!!!!!! they have inexperienced kids with no supervision and no business doing this kind of work in the shop. DO NOT LET STATE FARM TALK YOU INTO THIS PALCE!!! GO TO DEALER!!!!! read more

I had my car fixed at Gerber after a small accident. They were quick, friendly and skilled. That in itself would garner a good review. It was the follow up that made this a total 5 star. There was a small issue with my window leaking. They got me in as quickly as the first time. Mike greeted me in person, looked at the problem, and literally called me within the hour to tell me it was fixed. He explained what had happened to cause the issue, apologized for it happening and on top of that, was happy to allow me to pick up my car the next day. When I picked it up, he showed me in person what was done to fix the problem and thanked me for allowing them to make it right. So progressive car insurance says take it here we fully insure. All work.ok I thought good I don't have to track down a good shop,how wrong I was. It took 3 weeks for front corner number damage, then comes to day I need to pick up call me an hour before pick up ,sorry can't pick up car we aren't done yet.ok so when can I couple days. So I pick days later.looks nice ,going over work but.....drive 10 miles or less 3 different dash lights come up.so I call them they act rude, short with me .so tell them I am bring back for services. 4 days later I come I'm andThey just clear computer again send me on my way.when sitting their several people come in about different issues that were not Taking care of or what have. After being involved in a fender bender I initially wanted my vehicles repairs to be taken care of at the dealer. Boy am I glad I ended up going with Nu Look. Right out of the gate I was met with super friendly and outgoing service. Bob Knapp went way above and beyond to make what started as a huge hassle into a painless and even positive experience. I also found that while at the Nu Look facility all of the other staff members were incredibly outgoing and legitimately cared and wanted to assure that I was being taken care of to the best of their ability. From the simple things like offering coffee and making small talk to the actual quality of the work done. This entire place is Top Shelf and I HIGHLY recommend them for any of your auto body needs. Really bad luck with this shop, I heard lots of good things which persuaded me to go there to get my car fixed. They gave me a date of when the car would be finished it was not, it took an additional 2 days. When I got it home I noticed some issues were not fixed, I had to call back and drop my car back off for an additional 3 days. My car would have been 2 but the lady forgot to call me, this was told to me by the manager. When I picked it back up I thought everything looked fine. It took me about a week to discover that the new paint job on the bumper was not the same color as the rest of the car. I get it, you can never match a color perfectly but my blue car now has a purple bumper. I also had them replace one of my tires, it wasn't until 2 weeks later when someone pointed out that the new tire was a lower model one. I had 4 top of the line tires on my car, now I have 3 and 1 low model tire worth half the cost. Would not reccomend going here for repairs!!! read more

Wait until a few years pass and you find all the paint repairs starting to rust due to improper refinish preparation. This will not be as noticeable on the repair to the structural areas, mostly because they are hidden behind equipment such as air boxes or compartment covers, but never the less the repair areas are rotting as you read this. This will be especially evident on door skin replacements where the entire parameter folded edge of the door paint will arbitrarily fall off and start to rust. This again, do to inept techs not doing their job correctly in order to beat that "flat rate" clock. read more

Our car was backed into by a neighbor while parked in the street, and the damage was pretty bad. NuLook got us right in, and Scott did the repairs from start to finish. He did a great job, the car looks just like new! The insurance adjuster had quoted for a repair of a certain panel, and he thought it best to replace it so he worked with them to get the replacement covered. It sounds like he had to fight pretty hard to do so, but prevailed and got the replacement approved. Unfortunately, this made the repair take longer than expected (not their fault, insurance adjuster had to come out, then they had to order new panel, etc). At first, they were great about calling with regular updates, but for the last 4 days that they had the car, we heard nothing until they called to say that it was done. The staff was courteous and the work seems top-notch. Would definitely use them again. A previous reviewer stated that the paint begins to peel after a few years; if this ends up being the case for me, I will update this review at that time, but so far so good. read more
