Had a fender bender with my 2014 BMW X3; my mind was panicking with the time out of work for estimates, getting a hire car etc. however my insurer (Geico) gave me the option to go to D.C. Collision for my damage assessment and (if I chose to) get the work done too. I'm glad I did; the appointment was made promptly, when I got there I was greeted courteously by a representative of the company, a Geico rep and a enterprise rent a car person. Paperwork took ten minutes, they told me approx 1 1/2 weeks, then the Geico guy had me sign a few things and also the enterprise guy gets me back on the road - max 30 minutes!! 1 1/2 weeks later (as they estimated) i get a nice call from D.C. Collision - the car is done! I'm back the next morning, drop off rental, sign some paperwork and a small excess on my insurance policy paid and I'm back in my good-as-new Bimmer! Overall very profession, courteous, prompt and genuinely nice people. If you get referred by Geico to D.C. Collision, don't be put off and think that you need shop around; Geico is very concerned about working with great partners, and they made the good choice with D.C. Stay away! I never write online reviews, but need to warn everyone about Gerber in Webster. Our…read moreSienna was rear-ended and brought to Gerber for repair. When we picked it up, the manager lifted the tailgate to show us the repairs. When I walked closer to examine them, he slammed the tailgate closed on my head. I'm sure this was an accident, but I didn't get to examine the repairs closely after that. We took the van home and noticed about a dozen things that were not done correctly (the carpet was all bunched up, the rear wiper assembly was not put on correctly, there were significant gaps between the replaced parts, pieces were missing, paint was done poorly, etc). I called, and they agreed to have us bring it back and they said they were going to fix everything. When we came back to pick it up, I examined things more closely, and everything seemed better except the rear wiper was still misaligned. They said they were going to order a new wiper assembly and call me to have it brought back in when the part arrived. They never called, and we decided to just live with it. Several months later, we noticed that our back up lights weren't working. I purchased new bulbs to replace them, but the new bulbs didn't work either. I needed to disassemble the trim on the tailgate to find that they didn't connect one of the plugs. Once I plugged that in, the back up lights worked again. The following summer, I went to hook up a trailer, but the trailer wiring was missing. I took apart some of the trim, and found the wiring buried inside. I pulled it out and hooked up the trailer, but the lights weren't working. I was able to determine that no power was getting to the plug from the van. I took apart more of the interior trim and found that they did not connect any of the plugs for the trailer wiring. All of the plugs were just dangling. So unless you want to fix all their mistakes yourself, just stay away from Gerber!

When I arrived, the receptionist quickly reviewed the info with me, took a look at the car, then gave me a useful overview of what to expect from the process including tips like: Don't forget to snag your EZPass, garage door opener and phone charger! She helped me through the rental car process and made it easy to return the rental by simply leaving the keys at the desk when I came to pickup my repaired vehicle. I received regular notifications throughout the process, starting with a projected completion date, then regular updates as the parts came in and services were completed. (The work was done with impressive finesse, and the completion date was so early that I saved hundreds when returning my rental car early.) There were some really nice finishing touches along the way too, like answering all my questions and concerns when picking up the vehicle (zomg, went a long way in easing the anxiety experienced around losing my vehicle for a time after the crash), printing a second copy of the bill so I could stick one in my records and send the other along with the certification required by insurance, and exceptional after-care in answering questions that I had a few days after completion. Absolutely exceptional! I highly recommend.
