If I could rate this place 0 stars I would. I'm not sure where to start.. My vehicle was taken over a month ago and not once did I get a call to notify me that the car was received nor got updates about the work it needed. I was the one making calls to get updated on my vehicle. I finally get called to pick up my vehicle and I immediately notice check engine light and others were on and when brought up to Kareem he mentioned it coincidentally turn on because they hadn't touched nothing with the motor & advices me to take my vehicle elsewhere to get that fixed. (Aside for the issue my vehicle was taken in, not once did I have to worry about my check engine light therefore you'd think the would look into it but did not.) As I am headed home, I noticed that my sound system was not functioning proper and upon my arrival, did noticed that my sound system amplifier was missing. I took pictures and informed the site staff that my item was stolen. They proceeded to tell me that my vehicle was dropped off after hours and that there was nothing they could do. I asked about camera footage and they avoided my question. I've made a complaint via email and I am now once again playing a waiting game. read more

This location seems shady at best. They first provided an estimate for only the body damage when it was clear that there was damage to the wheel and suspension etc. When asked about this, they said it was standard to submit a portion of the estimate to then provide a higher estimate after the insurance approves the lower amount. This is not industry practice. They then scoffed at me asking for detail on what needs to be repaired/replaced as if I was crazy to know what they were fixing. They said "well we provided you the costs, what more do you need that is the breakdown". I advised them that when someone is fixing a vehicle or providing any service, a detailed account of what is being down is typically provided. These guys are the worst and I am notifying my insurance company to drop them as an approved vendor. read more

Amazing job they do here! Cody was my guy and took care of my 2019 Kia Soul. Had my car broke into twice, they took care of me both times. I highly recommend this place. Note to the customers: They will get your car in and the job done right! You need to make sure to schedule it otherwise your wasting your time. This business is completely comfortable getting referrals from Insurance companies, this is fine if they where actually customer oriented. I waited over a week for an appointment to retain an estimate for my repairs. I arrived to my appointment 15 early there was actually 0 regard for my arrival. Customer service was puzzling, I waited for 30 minutes thinking someone must surely attend to my arrival! Wrong, I got up and asked if there was any indication when someone might attend to my appointment. Response was, hmmmm I don't know. This gave me the additional impression of my initial reaction. I walked out! Even though I will be inconvenienced not to get my repairs done on time, I refuse to give a business like this my time and money. read more

I cannot express my disappointment enough with Gerber and specifically Frank the service manager. My car was not ready when promised My car was not ready when second promised. When I picked up the car it was missing a piece from the fender. The car was dirty, they said they detailed it but it obviously hadn't even been vacuumed. It took several days of calling to get Frank (service manager) to call me back. He said he would come by to replace the part. He flaked the appointment and never called to apologize or reschedule. It took a few more days of calling for him to finally call me back. He replaces the piece, less than a week later the same piece fell off on the other side. HE HAD THE AUDACITY TO SAY I HIT SOMETHING! I didn't, he was just searching for any reason to explain the poor workmanship he apparently supervises. I take my car to get it washed and the attendant points out the fender is already coming loose. I look and notice not only the fender, but also the PAINT DRIPS that are on the car. The repair work here is the worst I have experienced. Frank has provided horrible customer service. It takes multiple phone calls in multiple days to get him to return calls. I have now sent an email concerning the fender and the crappy paint job. Let's see how this nightmare unfolds. My advice, DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. There are so many reputable service stations in the valley. This place lacks in both quality of work and customer service. read more

My experience with Gerber in Glendale has been going on for almost 1 and 1/2 years! I was in an accident April of 2021. My insurance company picked Gerber in Glendale because the adjuster had a good relationship with the GM at the time. 2 months later that guy had quit and someone else was in charge but there weren't any updates. We had a rental so I was okay with waiting. It took them over 4 months initially to repair my vehicle. When we get it back there were so many issues including my air conditioning not working, which it did before the accident! We tried to talk to the people in charge for help but the guy who'd been helping out for the other guy who quit also quit and they flat out told me they weren't familiar with my car. Then later that very week we were driving and Boom! My literal passenger tire axel pops and the entire car is immobilized. I paid to tow it to Gerber. I forgot to get a receipt from the tow truck guy so they couldn't do anything to reimburse me. So they keep my car again for another month. We get it back and now the brakes have issues (still no air conditioning) but the brakes are grinding and popping. Then I get into another accident, same side the previous damage was on. My fiancé thinks at the time he's got a good relationship with the mechanic Dave so he wants to take it back to Gerber especially since we have "life time warranties" on all the previous repairs. So I reluctantly agreed (biggest mistake ever). They take the car. We get the car back after a few weeks and my bumper is actually crooked. Still no air conditioning and the brakes are grinding bad. It's also making a thumping sound when you get to a certain speed. By this point it's August 2022. Now they tell us a guy named Sam is taking over and will be able help. And I think Sam may have tried, or at least made it seem like he was trying. They corrected the crooked bumper but the brakes are still bad. I had another mechanic look at them and he said they had air in them. Also my air conditioning still doesn't work but literally no one is acknowledging my concerns and it still makes that thumping noise. My car is only a 2017. For almost an entire year it was out of commission completely so it shouldn't drive like a 1990s Buick. Trying to get help now feels like an argument. The repair guys all act as if they can't hear the sounds and they claim the air conditioning is a recall issue through Nissan even though when I contacted Nissan they don't know what I'm talking about. More than $10,000 in repairs overall, 1 and a 1/2 years later and my car is still not 100%, probably more like 80%. Personally wish I'd never heard of Gerber. They aren't BBB accredited. Just run from them as quickly as possible. Save time, money and energy by going to someone who cares and are reliable. Too many change overs in staff and no accountability. Beyond satisfied with the service we received! We were hit by a HUGE piece of wood on the freeway and had to have our car towed as it was instantly disabled. We told our insurance to send our car to which ever place was closest and I'm so glad this was where it was sent. We didn't have our car for a little over a week which sucked but every time I called for updates the gentleman that answered was super patient and kind. Once my car was fixed we met with Cody for the final inspection and he reviewed everything the fixed. We noticed some minor issues with the bumper and Cody immediately took my car back and fixed it. He also informed us that our gas light turned on during the small fix. We quickly brought the issue that we had about half a tank of gas when my car was dropped off and since my car was disabled we weren't sure how all that gas could've been used up. The gentleman that answers the phone quickly looked at the photos of my car when it was first dropped off and confirmed that it did have half a tank when we dropped it off. We are unsure at what moment my cars gas could've gotten stolen. Any other place would've probably told us that was out of their control but Cody made things right for the inconvenience. 10 our 10 will highly recommend this place! We were so impressed at the work. I was referred to these crooks by my insurance after hitting a semi tire on the freeway. My car sat there for 4 business days parked way in the back untouched, never put on a lift or jack stands to accurately give an estimate. Instead I received a random 8 thousand dollar estimate of parts on my car that weren't damaged while my car was on the floor which is lowered. I thought it was bullshit so I went down there to take a look at my car for myself and sure enough it looked like nobody had even touched it.. their excuse was someone quit so they couldn't get it on a lift.. so if someone quits does everyone stop working there? There were things they were missing on the estimate that the (estimator) didn't even see, They were also trying to cut my whole floor pan out for a dent that was not a big deal and had nothing to do with the accident. The estimator "Jeff" showed me the "damage" and as I looked I told him I don't see any damage and he said "just let them pay you out" and I told him my car is worth more than the repair cost, my own insurance adjuster was shocked at the value of my car After leaving I immediately notified my insurance and let them know that things are fishy and I told him I want my car out of there first thing in the morning the next day.. my adjuster decided to have a supervisor go out and look for himself and sure enough he didn't see any damage they put on the estimate other than the obvious so i had it towed to different body shop and they found damage that was completely missed. The new body shop asked where my car was coming from and I told the guy Gerber and he even made a face, so they must be known for doing dumb shit like this Insurance said they're most likely going to stop working with them since they tried to charge for parts that are not damaged.. so hopefully it's true, these people are cons. I had an axel replaced and these idiots used aftermarket parts and within a month the axel failed. Good thing I have good insurance and was able to have them warranty the part at the Mercedes' dealership where OM parts were used. This place is a scam. Had my car for 84days and still had issues. When I was involved in a hit and run this pat May, I decided to give this shop a try as it was recommended by the at fault insurance company. Unfortunately, my headlamp was cracked some time during the repair process (I purchased my a/m lights out of pocket when I first bought my car so I was not happy) .... However the shop took all responsibility for the cracked light and got me a new set of headlamps, got them installed and programmed for me & even through in a complimentary alignment! The communication I received from Alisha was amazing throughout the whole repair & warranty process. Shout out to Alisha, the QC manager, and GM for all they have done to help me. I took my Mercedes to Gerber to be repaired ( Never take luxury to this shop). This shop does not have a licensed mechanic for Mercedes and outsources all work to a mobile mechanic. It took 8 week to repair the car and when the car was returned to me it was returned with after market parts. Two months after driving the vehicle the after market parts broke. I called and spoke to Dave. (He was a jerk) and was told to bad and "good talk" and he hung up. I will be working with the insurance to file a fraud claim. This has been an ongoing nightmare with this company for me. I took my Jeep in for repair got it back missing all my emblems and now my traction and abs lights keep coming on. At this point I took it to the dealer only to discover not only did they nor do my alignment correctly they lost my after market wheel locks so I am now fucked and can't get my speed sensor replaced. Getting nothing but the run around and empty promises from the new manager Sal. Do not take your vehicle here. It took a month for them to do my original repairs which they didn't even do correctly. I took my car in to see if they could redo some of the paint that was starting to crack. It was about a year later, but they still took care of me. I have to admit, I was skeptical about bringing my car to anywhere but the dealership, but when I got rear-ended this was the place the other guy's insurance partnered with and they set me up with an appointment. Darryl was the point-person for my car and he provided phenomenal customer service. When I dropped the car off he knew I was running on a tight schedule due to the nature of my job and he looked over my car straight away. I was out of there on time and not late to work.
