Updated Review: Gerber Collision - Workmanship Warranty Experience Bottom line: Their "one-year workmanship warranty" appears to mean little in practice. When I brought the car in for a clear fitment issue related to their prior repair, the response was a quick visual/feel check only--no lift, no parts removal, no review of the original paperwork--and an immediate assumption that the problem was my fault. About six months after this location repaired my 2025 vehicle (damaged in a parking-lot hit-and-run that was covered by the other driver's insurance), the front bumper cover began popping out from under the headlight. The clip holes were visible, and the cover would not stay seated. Online references and common sense indicated the bumper attaches to the underside of the headlight assembly; the original impact that tore the bumper off could easily have compromised those tabs. The issue was purely cosmetic at first, so I waited until roughly two months before the warranty expired to schedule an appointment. The same appraiser who handled the original repair came out. She felt under the bumper, immediately mentioned "curb scratches," briefly looked underneath while lying on the ground, tried (unsuccessfully) to push the cover back into place, and then stated there was nothing they could do because they could not rule out a curb scrape as the cause. She offered no further inspection, no verification that the tabs or related fasteners had been properly addressed during the original repair, and no willingness to take the car inside for a proper look. Photos I took the day I picked the car up after the original repair already showed imperfect alignment at the bumper-to-fender seam, visible clip holes under the headlight, and an uneven gap at the lower plastic pieces. The bumper looked acceptable and was the correct color, so I relied on the stated workmanship warranty if anything worsened. It did. A light curb scrape is common; a scrape forceful enough to dislodge the bumper cover from under the headlight is not. Yet the shop defaulted to that explanation without checking whether the problem stemmed from their own work. The interaction left the clear impression that the priority was avoiding any warranty obligation rather than determining whether their prior repair was still sound. I understand businesses must manage costs. However, a warranty that is dismissed after only a superficial look and an unproven alternative explanation does not inspire confidence. I cannot recommend this Gerber location, paid or under warranty. At least the bumper is still the right color and has not fallen off--yet. read more

Stopped in at 9:00 to get an estimate but no estimator available till after lunch. Went back at 1:10 pm but they were getting ready for lunch. Couldn't push lunch back 15 minutes to wait on me. Poor customer service at front desk tells me their repair work might have the same type of service. I'll go to Kendrick or Cushman. read more

We took our vehicle here after a front-end fender bender since they work with our insurance. I would like to give them 5 stars because they have a very nice facility with friendly staff. They also use text updates which is great so you at always informed. However, they lost 1 star due to ordering the wrong parts twice and delaying the vehicle by 1 week. They lost another star for not really having the car ready when they said it was. The left fog light was not properly installed and they had to take ut to the back and fix it. Not a huge delay (ran a cpl errands and came back) but still that shows me the quality control is not the best. I will also say that they replaced and repainted the bumper but did not blend any side panels or the hood so it is a stark contrast to the rest of the car. They said the insurance was to blame for this as they wont pay for blending (which I have trouble believing). Regaurdless, they work they did do looks good and they are pleasant to deal with. read more

WOW! Absolutely awesome service from JH Body Shop. The damage disappeared from my vehicle. Literally no trace anything ever happened. They also under-promised and over-delivered - they said my vehicle would be finished by close of business Friday; it was finished noon Wednesday. The reps were very friendly and efficient throughout the process, answering all questions asked, and kept me up-to-date via phone calls. They also went above and beyond by speaking to my insurance company on my behalf when I didn't agree on how insurance was processing my claim. They were able to work out a resolution that I was extraordinarily happy with. If I ever need body work on my vehicle again, JH Body Shop will be at the top of the list. read more

I have used John Harris on Evans to Lock for repairs a total of three times now. This last time was a very unique, mildly complicated situation, and all out of pocket. They helped to make the situation easier than I could have possibly imagined. They have been the absolute best each and every time. John Harris Body Shop recently fixed a mashed rear bumper on our Honda Odyssey. I'll frame my comments by saying that I am pretty picky about auto body work....bordering on OCD. They did an outstanding job; aligning the body panels, blending the paint across new and old panels, and paying attention to match all the grommets and screws. They got the job done earlier than promised. Most telling, the shuttle driver for Enterprise, who drops off and picks up lots of people at local body shops and has heard all the stories, said that he would only go to John Harris if he had auto body damage to get fixed. So yes, I would recommend John Harris. read more

We dropped off a vehicle at this shop for repairs after a side collision. We were told that we would receive text message updates on the status of the car. We were told that it would take approximately 5-9 days for the repairs. The day after drop off I received a text message about the additional repairs needed after the car was taken apart. I called and left a message to discuss the additional charges. My call was not returned and frankly it slipped my mind to call them again. Nine days later I had not heard from them so I contacted them and spoke to Brittany. She told me that they were still waiting to hear back from the insurance company to see if they ok with the additional costs. I asked her why she did not let us know they were waiting on the insurance company and she stated that they could not notify us, they had to wait on the insurance company. WTH!!! So recap, the car has been taken apart for 9 days, no contact with the owners, and they were still waiting on the insurance company. Unbelievable! Based on my personal experience: do NOT give them your business Took a front-end damaged BMW X1 to John Harris. When I dropped the car off I was told repairs will take one week. A week later I was told it will take an extra week to receive parts and finalize repairs. At the two-week point my insurance company who was paying for my rental, starts complaining that repairs are taking too long. It's Friday around 4:00 PM when I call John Harris. After being transferred twice I'm told that in fact the car was ready - nobody bothered to call and let me know. I rush across town to make it before closing time just to wait another 15 - 20 min for them to figure out what happened with my insurance company's payment. We finally take the car and when we get home realize both headlights were completely misaligned. I immediately contact John Harris and I'm instructed to drop the car and come later on or next day to pick it up. Of course that would imply I have to use two cars and two people for both the drop off and pickup. When I complain I'm told I can bring the car any time and it can be fixed while I wait, and that's exactly what I do. I bring it in on a Tuesday at 11:00 AM just to be told that they cannot look at or fix it since they have no technician until 12 noon. That's when I decided to walk out and start complaining. This place is badly managed, does repairs that need to be 'repaired' and has no respect for its customers. Do business with them at your own risk. read more

I was sent to John Harris Body Shop by USAA, I had the inspection done on 5/18/2019. Waited a week and no response from my adjuster so I called USAA, was told that the shop could not find the photos of the inspection so they could not send in the estimate. Asked USAA to send me to a different shop, they gave me an appt to Kendricks. I called John Harris and spoke to the manager Jason, and told him about my displeasure with their service and that someone should have called me earlier about the photos. All Jason had to say was I was off last week, and don't know anything about it. When I told him I had to now take my car to Kendricks for another inspection, Jason said good luck with Kendricks goodbye and hung up. read more
