I made an appointment for the next day. At the appointment, they explained that the repairs do not end up like the commercials. They can possibly spread during the sealing process. The process took about 30 minutes. It is not common to have repair shops tell you about problems that could happen during repairs. It is a good value to repair the windshield for about 10% of the replacement costs. For about 10% more, they will come to your car and do the work. read more

Moved from CA to SC 5 years ago. Used safelite in CA and they were fine. Replaced rear window here is SC a year ago, showed up with wrong window. No problem these things happen. They returned with corrrect rear window and did a lousy job. Left broken glass all over the place. Put the rear windshield wiper upside down. OK. Had to replace front windshield, called my insurance agent and sent Safelite again and they agreed to fix wiper. I said, let's get it done, they confirmed their appointment with electronic messaging. Did not show up. I called they said the service agent called me and said he was cancelling appointment. I explained I received a text message confirming appointment the rep said didn't matter and I would have to schedule a new appointment, the rep was crude and rude. They are a complete clown show. Went to a local repair shop, night and day difference. The repaired the rear wiper and said there was no charge for the repair. DO NOT USE SAFELITE!! As I checked in for my second windshield replacement of the year, having replaced a tire with a nail in it only a week ago, I am thinking that the roads in this area must be a bit on the hazardous side. Perhaps that's why this place is so busy. Appointments were booked out close to a week in advance. I am not thrilled with this as I do not like driving around with a windshield that looks like it might fall apart if it takes another hit. This really ought to be a same day or next day kind of business. Making that clear, everything else went well. I had an easy experience and my car was ready earlier than the estimate. I made an appointment two weeks ago to have the windshield replaced in my 66 C10. The appointment was accepted and paid for with no problem. I was contacted twice by phone by Safelite to see if I wanted to move my appointment up because they had an opening in their schedule. I was not able to because I was out of town. My appointment was for 2/24/2026 between 8-1:00. On the day of my appointment at 8:23 AM I was left a voicemail that said and I quote "Um, just calling because we got an appointment for your 19 Uh 66 truck today. Um, unfortunately we do not do those older trucks. Usually we don't go back past 1980s or so.". Again, this appoint had been made two weeks earlier and it was listed as a 1966 for the entire period. I understand that Safelite might not want to work with older vehicles, but why take my money and waste my time? I am very frustrated and disappointed in the way that this was handled. read more

What a joke. Scheduled a window replacement with this store 4 days ago and received daily email updates about the appt, reminding me to be there....had to drive 200 miles round trip for the appt. Got there 20 minutes early only to be told, "we don't have the glass...". What! Are you kidding me...think they could have let us know before going there??? So the lady says let me get you on the schedule so we can make sure the glass is here...??? Didn't we just do that??? I have a complaint. My glass crack spread not even a day after work was completed. I was assured that the resin used was just as strong as the glass itself. Then I called customer service and was advised that I would have to pay an additional 700+ dollars for a replacement. I've been quoted no more than $400 from any other location around my area including recalibration for a glass replacement. I asked for some type of reimbursement and was Denied. I feel Safelite scammed me out of my money. If Safelite knew they couldn't correctly repair a crack then they shouldn't have taken the job. I will be reporting this to Google yelp and better business bureau. read more

I had my windshield replaced 4/22/20. The technician was after 5:30pm, but this was okay as I was appreciative he didn't reschedule my appointment. So, he replaces the windshield. On 4/23/20 I am headed home on the interstate and all the trim surrounding the windshield blows off the car in traffic. This was unbelievable, all I wanted was my windshield replaced and now my vehicle looks like it's been in a minor collision. I have contacted them concerning this because the inside of my car sounds like all windows and sunroof are open when driving. I will update according to how this situation is handled. read more

Repair Well Done! On 8/4/22 Mr. Torris repaired a dime size pebble crack in our SUV windshield (passenger side). He did an excellent job and finished product was a completely un-visible spot on the glass from inside and out, and He avoided removal of entire windshield, avoiding reset of car preset safety settings. His process was very methodical: clean fissure, vacuum for splinters, pressure seal fissures, heat to set and polish to remove any surface products. Mr. Torris was very Courteous. His Communication prior to arrival was excellent, and he arrived on time. And, throughout the repair process he patiently described each step, a couple of which were invisible to our naked eyes. Took my car in after my windshield got a giant crack in it. Safelight made the process so easy! Thanks to my comprehensive insurance policy I didnt even have to pay a deductible. My driver side window was broken in 2020 I was unable to attend when the people were coming to fix it someone else handled it for me. First of all it was over 98° today they were supposed to come they left her standing in a parking lot for an hour and a half waiting on them I don't even know for sure that they apologized. So we will Fast Forward a year and a half when I'm getting ready to drive again and come to find out the driver side window that they fixed does not go up and down anymore so I contacted them by email months go by and finally I get an email I apologize and because they're just so busy no one had a chance to answer me. I hope you can read the sarcasm in that statement. I explained my problem to her she sent someone by here to check it out and he tells me that the regulator doesn't work anymore. That's insane the car only has 56,000 miles on it it hasn't been driven in a year and a half how in the world can that be well after much back and forth we finally decided they would fix it cuz they were the only common denominator then he tells me they're having a hard time finding the part because the car's been discontinued. After I hung up I got on the phone again and called around and found the part in three different places called him back and let him know where the part was and finally we got it scheduled for them to come and fix it and they did they fixed it. The other beef with them is I called the home office the warranty division over four times giving them the correct phone number the correct name and the correct address will they had the address they said they wrote it down yet every time they wanted to send me any information they sent it to the other person four times and they never got it right how can anybody run a business and they can't even change a phone number and a name however I do appreciate that they fix the problem. read more

We had a great experience there today! We drove from Saluda to have the windshield replaced and just after arrival our daughter's school called to say they were closing early. The awesome people at Safelite put extra mechanics on the job to get our windshield replaced quickly so we could get back to Saluda in time. Very upset... I had a 3 pm appointment, and was told that they would have my car no longer than two hours. I left, and returned 1 hour qnd 20 minutes later, and they were just pulling the car in. They then told us that they would be done in no more than 45 more minutes. It is now at the 45 minute mark, and still waiting. Not happy with this place at all. By the way, this visit Is to fix the work they did last month, when they replaced a windshield that had failed after they repaired it. read more

Unfortunately I think my grievance is more with the scheduling department than the individual location. I will start by saying that today I sd the third windshield (on multiple vehicles) that we have had done with Safelite, I do not do repeat business with a company that provides poor service. Fool me once, well you know. So having had 2 previous vehicles done by this ship, one at my residence and 1 in shop, had to have lane watch cameras calibrated after install, I was pleased with both encounters. But for today's appt. they scheduled between 8 a.m. and Noon, the technician calls to say he won't be there until 1-2 p.m. Thsnk you for the courtesy call, but why are you over booking these installers to the point they can't keep the scheduled appointments. Now SCHEDULING has made the shop look bad. Please get your stuff together as I have had good experiences with this shop. read more

Superb!! What a piece of cake. I had a small chip in my Suburban's windshield, called the insurance company and requested Safelite. I contacted Safelite and it was a breeze from there on. They confirmed the time and date that was good for me, I received a confirmation email and texts and text reminders. In fact, if it weren't for the reminder text, I probably would have forgotten to drive that vehicle to work to have the repair performed while I worked. An appointment here means nothing. Appointment was for 0900 but they took walk ins ahead of me. They advised that I not wait . The car was not ready until 4:00 O'clock . I made the appointment via the website, which was quick and easy. It was a relief to have a Safelite location nearby with a same-day appointment since the mobile fix was not available for several days. I arrived and was greeted right away by Donna, the desk clerk. She let me know that they were quite busy and they would get to my car in 20-30 minutes. Luckily I brought a book to read... They started working on my car 45 minutes after my appointment time. I was there a total of 2.5 hours. It was slightly frustrating, BUT they did a great job filling in the rock's damage to my windshield without having to replace it. I had my window replaced on my five month old car, my technician was very friendly, however when the job was complete I still had glass under seat and in the creases of my leather seats where the stiching is. When I rolled the window down there was glass on glass scraping somewhere. Job not very well done. Went thru insurance so having it repaired at a paint and body along with the other issues resulting form vandalism and burglary. May use again ,however will do a better job of checking the work. They did come to my job on the day I needed them which is convenient but for the price charged the job should have been perfection. read more
