My car window was stuck down on a cold Friday with rain in the forecast and an hours drive from home. I happened to see their shop from the road and pulled in hoping for help. Stan and his team immediately responded and was able to get the window pulled up and got me back on the road within 20 mins. I got rear ended a couple of weeks ago and their insurance went through Gerber and I honestly couldn't be MORE satisfied. From entering in the door to the final fix. The receptionist is AMAZING! I feel horrible for forgetting her name but she was the one who mainly remained in contact with me letting me know everything and to top things off they are closed on Saturdays and Sundays BUT the manager met me there Saturday morning so I wouldn't have to wait until Monday to pick up my car. Should stay away! I been meaning to express how displeased I was in this location, how I was mistreated by their team as their customer. I was not only treat unfairly but they also lied to us! I had a huge dent on my front hood, obviously I went to different places to get estimate. Other than two different shop, I actually went to the Gerber on Ogden first, I was treated fairly and the gave me an estimate Because of the Rt 59 location is closer to me, I scheduled an estimate appointment with the Route 59 location. I had a last min meeting got called into work but didnt want to reschedule so I asked my gf to drop of for estimate, oh boy was I wrong! Upon her dropping off, they somehow found out I already had an estimate with Ogden and told my gf that the Ogden location provided a very nice estimate even tho there could be addition fee. Told my gf that they will do their best and repair the car according to Ogden estimate. Since the Ogden location estimate was the cheapest I was going to go with them and since the Rt59 location told my gf they would honor the estimate she went with them.... Upon my gf telling me she gave permission for them to make the repair, I immediately called them to ensure what she told me were right. They told me the car is already in the shop making repair but make no promise in honoring the Ogden quote! I told them that wasnt what the agent told my gf but he said they never make no promises! I asked the guy to stop and will pick up the car but he told me the work already started and wont releases unless I pay for full! Since I was at work I asked my dad to go but do not talk to them, according to my dad, my car was just sitting inside no one were making any repair(he was outside for 30mins)! When I finally make it there, they were closed my car was inside. I believe they were just afraid I may come drive my car away so even when they were not making the necessary repair they just keep my car inside Few days later, they called me to pick up my car, SURPRISE...they didnt honor the Ogden quote and charged me additional fee. I expressed my displease and even talked to the 'manager' I was told they do not remember making any promises and that I have to pay in order to get my car Please beware this location is dishonor and would make lies to con their way getting customer!! read more

I don't trust auto shops or repair shops in general (or vets or dentists and sometimes not even doctors, in fact, I am the queen of getting a 2nd opinion) - there's information they have that we (those not in the repair industry) don't have and can't easily get on the spot. So, when I took my 2013 Nissan Quest in for a scratch to be repaired and knew that Gerber knew that my insurance was covering the damages, I expected a $2,000 or more estimate - afterall, a scratch on a brand new car, that has to be a good money maker, right? The manager (don't remember his name) went to look at my car for said estimate. He came back in and said it's just gone - basically, there was no scratch or it's big enough to repair. The 2 foot long line down my side door was not an actual scratch, or if it was, it wasn't deep enough to go through the clear coat. He had gotten out a bottle of white stuff and a rag and buffed it out. All done. Gone. Good as new. Zero cost to me. Read that again - ZERO cost to me. Whaaaatt? I still can't believe this. They had every opportunity to take advantage of my insurance company and I, and they didn't do it. I am very, very impressed by their honesty and they have earned my deepest respect. Next time I actually have something that needs repaired, I'll be calling Gerber. read more

Augustine (manager) called and offered an explanation of why they didn't want to repair my vehicle. He was polite and is clearly more knowledgeable than the people I initially spoke with. I understand why it may be "easier" to use the authorized shops your insurance company recommends. First impressions are hard to shake, and at a minimum, people answering the phone should be trained to answer questions in a way that reflect good customer service. I went there to get an estimate on snow damage to my roof. This girl Melissa was friendly at all. Was irritated for no reason. Yes it was cold but it took me so long to make her go out side. Finally she did. Took pics and told me she will email me estimate. Then when I called my agent he asked to search for more dents. Which I found two more. Came back to same shop for re estimate and she refused to go out again. Instead she called my agent with out permission. She argued with him and told me that he will be coming out next day and give me estimate. Which I already knew. I made the appointment. Then I asked her to still give me your estimate so I can compare with the agent. She said no I will work off of his estimate then. Not going there again read more

My driver's side window broke and I was planning to take it to the dealer. After calling and getting a general quote, I was freaked out at the staggering number I was given. I looked into Gerber and got a quote that didn't make me want to pass out. They answered all my questions and made sure they understood exactly what I needed and what the problem was. I made the appointment and their installer was here when promised and was very courteous. He was able to fix my window on the spot and explained to me what happened and how he fixed it. I was involved in an auto accident. They did a great job repairing my vehicle and kept me constantly informed with the progress. They guarantee their work for life. I noticed that after two months there was a weird feel to my door. They ended up bending over backwards to fix the problem. They were very accommodating. I went into the Gerber Aurora location to get a quote on a windshield replacement. Lady said I had to do online or call them they don't do at store. She did quote over phone for me since the website kept getting stuck on type of vehicle. I called back a week later to setup appointment. Customer service rep I spoke to gave me 2 different prices higher than my original quote said best could do. She finally found my original quote and I scheduled appointment at my home on 8/31. I was told I would get called the day of with two hour window. I received a call from Jose around 10:45 being told will be at my home within hour. He called me back about 10 minutes later to say he was having trouble finding my house built over 5 years ago in his GPS. I proceeded to give him directions and all he said was WOW that's far. He called back once again about twenty minutes later to say he couldn't make it as the 2nd person who was going to help him truck broke down. Yet I was told this was only a one man job and he mentioned no issue on previous calls. Personally I feel he just didn't want to make drive based on his wow response previously. He said he would have someone call me to reschedule and address my concerns. It has been over a week and still no one has called me. I would never recommend Gerber in future awful service. read more
