2 years ago, I needed a new well pump for my agricultural well. It was little over 30' deep before GeoWater replaced the pump, but they sawed the old casing so violently back & forth, that the well collapsed and is just about 20' deep. I went from never running out of water to getting about 5 gallons every 5 minutes because I now have to wait until the well refills. Henry was the supervisor and initially installed a 10 gallon/minute pump, then had to go down to a 7 gallon/minute pump with an auto shutoff so the pump does burn out. I was charged for the extra pump and extra service calls. Henry ignored my texts. I call the manager and they said they were reviewing the case and then everything dropped. I was overcharged by more than & $800 in labor, an extra pump and a well that is 1/3 less deep. Henry took depth measurements before pulling the casing but then lied, denied and refused to accept that the depth was reduced by 10'. I just came in tonight after spending 30 minutes trying to top off 1 foot in my 100 gallon horse tank. Had our well water tested, and it came back with lead in the water. Had it retested twice by two different labs no lead. After we paid them 500 plus dollars. Retest for 675.00. Emailed them just as a FYI No response. read more

This company and guys are great. My well motor stopped on Sunday evening and I called left message and they came out first in morning on Monday found issue and sent crew right over to change the pump. Can't say enough about the service they gave us. read more

This company was not up front at what the extra costs would be and we had to do the side work ourselves to make sure the pump was able to be tested on time for a closing. From start to finish they were not easy to deal with and had zero customer accountability. All companies from drillers to the pump company involved saw nothing but dollar signs as were up against a timeline. I will never recommend them in the future. read more

We noticed our well pump/pressure tank were cycling more often than usual on a Friday evening. We called GeoWater, expecting to leave a message (no one is open over the weekend, right?) There was actually someone there! He helped us do some quick diagnostics, and had someone out first thing Monday morning. Fortunately for us it was a very minor problem and the fix was easy. We REALLY appreciated the way Carl kept us in the loop to know what was going on, all the time Dale spent doing diagnostics, and Paul's work to fix the problem in, oh, 20 seconds or so! He spent more time taking the cover off the well head and replacing it when he was done! Really nice guys, a VERY reasonable price, and we're good to go again! read more

Inflated prices, terrible customer service and they milk the clock. Did not install direct replacement equipment and took advantage of the situation. Installers left a mess behind. My rule of thumb is do good business with good people and GeoWater falls very short on all levels (supporting their overall terrible rating). Their local reputation is accurate. read more

Had our project planned for 3 weeks. Confirming the job of replacing our water lines right up until go time. The excavator exposed the lines and dug the trench 6' like we communicated and then..... we waited. And waited.. we sent all the pictures they asked for so they could have their supplies ready but they apparently overbooked their crew. That left us paying our excavator to idle. (who was going to re- bury the water lines) Finally 5-6 hours later the crew shows up. Unable to do the job because they didn't have the proper tools, and even left their truck running while they disclosed the bad news. Meanwhile our water is off until the job is completed. Now we're stuck, having to rent the excavator again and the guy to run it to bury the water lines. That extra $700 was not in the budget. Neither was the extra stress! We do support local. This could have been a good review. But the negligence and lack of compassion for the consumer here has left a bad taste. We got the job done and we're very pleased with the "other guys" who did it the very next day. They will be getting the raving reviews from us that they deserve! read more

We had an issue with our well and Geo Water was the only company I could reach on a weekend. They came out to look at our issue and told me all my equipment was fine, and that I likely needed to drill a new well, or have my existing well drilled deeper. I was told he'd contact a well drilling company on Monday - that was about a month ago - I never heard from anyone again. The well continued to have issues so I contacted another company that I had used before and they came out to have a look. 30 minutes later my issue was 100% fixed. Bad pressure tank, bad switch, partially clogged galvanized plumbing to the switch. How Geo Water missed this I do not know. I was glad they came out, but their diagnosis was 100% wrong. They get a star for picking up the phone. That's one star for every $100 I paid them for a mis-diagnosis of my issue. read more

Value - While the staff is nice, the value we received from this company was sub-par. We experienced some wish-washy feedback about our residential well that we have on the property and were then charged for a service call where no work was performed by this company. While the communication from the front of house and home office was great, it took a few weeks to get a tech out and when we finally had them out, they were not able to complete any work but charged us a service fee anyway for coming to "access" the situation. Kind of a bummer. Performance - Upon our first week of correspondence, Dave (super nice dude and amicable during all of our conversations) let us know that he would not send out a tech when we were not there so that we could get a run down of issues. We thought our well may be leaking or 'artesian'ing. A company with this experience probably knows what that looks like and can say 'yay or nay' via some discussion and pictures. After emailing some pictures and having a sprinkler person out, GeoWater then decided to come by the house to check things out while we were not present. When asked if I needed to be there, they urged that they could make a determination without anyone being home. Ease of Use - Being one of the few companies that can corner the market on residential wells, I understand that GeoWater is busy and that they need to vet most customers in advance. Sadly, the amount of time spent on the phone and emailing before any services were initiated was an issue. GeoWater defaulted to another company to come out and check the sprinkler system, and when it was determined that it may be a sprinkler issue, they sent a tech out anyway and reported just what the sprinkler company had told us. Features - While I am sure GeoWater does great work, we were not fortunate to have them do anything other than talk on the phone and email about possible issues. When we did have a service call, we did not have any work done nor were we there to discuss further expectations so I am not sure what services they can provide. We only know that they charge the initial fee to get out to your property and that this may be their biggest "moneymaker". Criticism - This whole piece is laden with criticisms of GeoWater and their practices, BUT I cannot comment on the actual work they do. Because, sadly, we never had them do any actual work. But, I still paid my invoice that they sent in the mail. I still paid them for services rendered because they came out to my property. I still held up my side of the exchange. I hope others have better luck with this company but I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. read more

Our original well equipment was built by them and truthfully have never had any real issues. Had to have a UV light installed to kill the bad bugs, they did that expeditiously and it has been working well for a few years now. Overall have been pleased with their services. read more

Heard our well pump cycling every few minutes so I gave them a call. They came out that same afternoon and after troubleshooting the problem they found a bad check valve allowing pressure to bleed back when the pump was off. Recommended replacing the valve as well as adding a second to bring the well up to todays code. They also gave me some other options to replace some older parts. In just a few hours for less then I expected our well is working great. read more

They they do not return calls. I will say this again, they do not return calls. If you did not hear me the first time I will say this again they do not return calls. They install a temporary fix for a significant water mitigation issue and simply ignored us although we place calls weekly willing to pay, for a permanent solution. Rather than adjust the charges they decided to not do any work at all. Altogether a poor understanding of routine business practices. Little things like this are indicators of bigger issues for more complicated jobs. MAKE SURE YOU SIGN A SERVICE AGREEMENT - BRING YOUR OWN IF YOU HAVE TO. read more

It was midnight...my wife said "is there any reason we don't have any water in the house?" It was Christmas Eve and family was on their way...so we quickly called GeoWater Services. The emergency dispatcher said we would hear from them around 6a...and sure enough, they called and scheduled to have Scott come out. He showed up an hour early and within 15 minutes found out that we had a short in the pump wire. He had us back up in running in 90 minutes by running a temporary wire that we'll need to get replaced in the spring. Christmas Eve was saved! We love these guys! We've had quite a ride with our well. We tested positive for some bacteria in our water and have had some other issues. It seemed like every different well company gave us a different answer. GeoWater was able to finally solve our problem. We would've saved a lot of money had we gone to them in the first place. They even have a little store front if you want to DIY and pick up the parts to maintenance your well. We accidentally broke 2 UV bulbs when replacing them ourselves on a weekend. That was not the best idea to do because you can't but the UV bulbs on a weekend. However, we called GeoWater and he had one of the weekend service guys meet us and sell us a bulb at market value instead of charging extra for meeting us on the weekend. Also, they're great with wells up in the mountains and are very knowledgeable about what you need to test, etc. They are just great. We had to do a significant amount of work our well recently. We thought to get a 2nd opinion but trusted them and knew we only wanted their team doing the work. We're glad we found them! read more

What an amazing service. I had called another service provider prior and they blew me off for three days. I called this company in the morning and the woman on the phone was very pleasant. While in the call the provider was extremely knowledgeable in the services provided and was able to provide me with the information that I needed. I was able to have a service tech come out the same day. The tech arrived at the house in the time frame that was given to me and was able to provide the services that needed to be repaired. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who is having an issue at their establishment. read more

We have used GeoWater twice in the last couple months and each time it has been a great experience. I first tried using a well company that was closer, but they never returned my call and when your pump is dead and you have zero water it is nice to have a company that actually responds to you. I called GeoWater the next day and delt with a nice man who tried to get someone out ASAP. Dave from GeoWater replaced our pump a couple days later and has helped us again this week with some other unrelated issues and he was great to work with both times. GeoWater left me high and dry. I scheduled a well test with Rich (number (303) 674 5890), and I spoke with him in a conference call with my realtor. Rich did not take my payment at the time, because he said he didn't want my credit card information "laying around the office." So he said he would call me on Monday, but nobody called me, and we got a call this morning saying that the well test had been cancelled for non-payment. We are now in a panic. Note that the inspector did his work and I paid him after, and the appraiser charged me for the service before they performed the service, so that we are locked in. why couldn't they do the same? Rich stated that he left me 3 voicemails, and although he repeated my cell phone number correctly, I do not have any voicemails from him, nor do I have any calls in my log from him. I am very reachable, and always either answer my phone or return calls very promptly (especially as it relates to my home purchase). Rich also stated that he left messages for my realtor, also repeated the realtor's number correctly. My realtor is also very responsive, very reachable, and always returns calls very quickly, even while on vacation or with his family. Why is Rich saying he called everyone but nobody has any record of receiving calls from GeoWater? I then called Rich back, just to let him know that there must be something wrong, because nobody was getting his calls. He hung up on me. This is very stressful and unprofessional. Not sure what we will do now, because apparently nobody can do this test except them. read more

The guys here are extremely knowledgeable and also very generous with their time. The sign of integrity is being willing to walk away from business if it is unnecessary or outside ones scope of practice. The staff at Geowater reviewed my info and spent 15 minutes educating me only to determine that I didn't need their services unless there are adverse results from my home inspection. I called GeoWater twice within a couple of months to diagnose why I had little or no water coming into my home from my well, because they had installed the well pump a couple years earlier, before I bought the home. Both times they came out, they told me my well was running dry because there had been so little rain. My gut told me that was not the case, and upon further investigation on my own, I found that a water pipe running from the well to the house was broken. GeoWater never bothered to consider or suggest that there might be an issue other than the well being dry. Not to mention that they were very slow to respond, even when I called their emergency service number on a weekend, and they sent two people on the second visit and charged me double. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! My letter to them this evening: I received a bill this evening from you for an additional $269.23. I have already paid you $320 and you never performed the requested service, which was to install a neutralizer (noted in the bill that you "found the bottom of the tank was hardened and unit has a counter current head. Need to replace head, tank,and media. Left unit in bypass for now). Furthermore, you tried to upsell me for a new tank which you quoted at $1200. I hired another company to mitigate the damage your company created and complete the contract. The electronics were in fine working condition and the tank in working order (the sediment was removed from the tank in a few minutes with a hose). The system works fine and the PH has been returned to normal. That your company would suggest that a new tank and head would be necessary is more than a little suspect. The owner of the other company that performed the work has indicated he is willing to testify before a judge that GeoWater Services, LLC, misdiagnosed and fraudulently misrepresented the problem, attempting to upsell for equipment that was unnecessary, and did not perform the services for which it was contracted and mitigation services he had to perform, including placing parts back into the tank which Geowater Services removed. As indicated in my previous email, the $320 more than compensates you for the services which your company rendered. If you submit any of the requested funds to a collection agency or harm my impeccable credit in any way, be assured that I will sue you for slander of credit and am ready and willing to file for treble damages as is permitted under Colorado statute. It is my firm belief that these people are rip-offs and scam artists. read more

I found him to be personable and meticulous in his work. He successfully diagnosed a difficult problem and repaired the system, thereby saving me over $500 in additional unneeded parts. Set an appoint with Geo-water and was given a time window. Waited through the 1 1/2 hour window and nobody showed up. Received a phone call from the owner saying sorry we are not coming out today, we can reschedule next week. I took off work to meet them, and no resolution offered when asked other than, "maybe next week". Yup, water is not that important I guess, nor is my business. read more

I had a poor experience with Geo Water. I called them in the evening because I was without water. To avoid an after hours service call, I asked to schedule something for the next day. The next morning I received a call from the tech who gave me a 1-4pm window for the repair. I received a call around 3:30pm informing me that the tech was running late and would arrive at 4:30pm. After waiting around all day the service tech finally arrived at 5:45pm. He spent about 5 minutes troubleshooting and determined the problem was with my electrical and not my well. I had a lot of questions about my well, but the tech was clearly in a hurry to leave (even though the minimum charges are 30 minutes). He was gone by 6:00pm. However, his fees were $147...for showing up extremely late and spending all but 15 minutes max on my issue. Had the tech taken 5 minutes to troubleshoot over the phone, the visit probably would've been unnecessary and I would have been spared this unpleasant experience. Not to mention, I could have gone to work and scheduled an electrician to get my services up and running quicker. I can understand a service charge when a visit is actually necessary, but by wasting my entire day and still charging a huge visit fee this company showed absolutely no respect for my time. I bought an $1800 water neutralizer after Scott said I could easily do the maintenance myself. Prior years I was paying $900 a service call to have the neutralizer repacked. When Jason came out to install it he said there is NO WAY I could do the maintenance myself. I asked the owner, the manager and Scott for detailed written direction on how to do the repacking myself like Scott told me I could do. The lip service was very professional but 2 months later and I still do not have directions. AND...While Jason was hauling away my old neutralizer he also took out my old water softener ASSUMING I was going to buy a new one from them for another $1800. I started shopping around and found one with great reviews in Home Depot for $500 and they put me in contact with a plumber who had it installed for $300. Wow. I saved one thousand dollars by not going to Geo Water. I will say that if you are in a panic because you have a water or well issue they will resolve your problem if you have enough money to trow at it. Shop around, read reviews and ask your local plumber if he can order and install the item you need after getting a quote from GEO water. read more
