Tom came out to talk water and boy, does Tom know water! As we started to talk about the house, where our water comes from and what we were primarily interested in Tom was doing tests of our water. He was very efficient in the testing and explaining the results. Our new home in Castle Pines was built with an instant hot water unit, which was all new for us. And from some other companies we talked to at the garden and home show told us that you definitely need to put a soft water unit in for the tankless (primarily for the warranty). As it turns out, Tom gave us a measurement of 3 for hardness which is very good and he told us we do NOT need to install a soft water unit. BONUS! We also talked about other minerals and pH in our water. And it was nice to hear we have really good water here. He did leave a flyer and a quote for a RO (reverse osmosis) drinking water system if we ever decide we would like to go that route other than just getting drinking water from the refrigerator. I would highly recommend anyone who is curious about their water quality to contact them and talk through what you might need or what you want.

If you're looking for a water softening system, go with him. I like to learn and understand how all the appliances in my house work and Tom couldn't have been happier to spend the time educating me, both before we agreed to hire him and then while he was personally installing the system. We discussed our needs and family size, and it was refreshing when he recommended the lower cost solution for us instead of trying to upsell us something we didn't need. He'll be very honest about what will make you the happiest with your water. The system works great and made a noticeable difference with the hardness of our water. Tom was very efficient when installing and left no mess when he was done. He and his wife (co-owner) have also called to check in to make sure we were happy and confirm everything was working well. Don't think twice about hiring them!

After interviewing four companies and…read moredoing a ton of research, we settled on EcoWater Systems offered through Costco and installed and serviced by Superior Water. It's been a couple of months and we are so happy with the system. They installed a whole house softener and purification system that also removes chloramines. We also had them put in a reverse osmosis system that goes into the frig and to the kitchen sink. The water is silky, soft and doesn't smell like chemicals. It feels much softer than it did with Culligan. The whole system is wifi enabled and we can monitor it from our phones. It alerts us if anything should need servicing or if the salt needs replacing. The installation was flawless and Etta, the salesperson, was very knowledgeable. The installer, Brian, was very professional, friendly and the installation was flawless. We used our Costco Visa and got an extended warranty and an 10% rebate via a Costco Cash Card, making this the best priced system of the four compatible systems we researched. Superior Water has followed up several times to make sure everything is going smoothly. We couldn't be happier.

They arrived in the morning as promised and were completely finished with three major installations by 2pm. We ordered this bundle thru our Costco membership services that contracted out Superior Water for their installation services and I must say both plumbers were Proffesional, kind, and patient with our questions during the process! Sean even helped me with leaking shower while he was here & only charged me for parts. ( Much appreciated as we were at our wits end with that shower leak ). Our water softener installed is top of the line, remote monitoring with it to.measure water usage and rock levels. The water tastes really good, if possible to believe and super clear! We absolutely love our new water system. Thank you all - even Melissa in office has been pleasant to deal with my post installation questions. We have found our plumbers to use going forward! Especially since they come out to Elizabeth.

We inherited a Pelican water filtration system when we bought our house that I knew nothing about…read more I called Water Pros when it started leaking since Pelican wasn't in business anymore to see what the state of the system was. When we found out it was so old & calcified that it wasn't even working, we purchased a new whole house conditioner. I was shocked at how fast they were able to install it & they were very thorough in running through everything with me. We finally feel like our water is in under control and not a big question mark

We had an RO unit installed in our kitchen some months ago by Water Pros Water Purification. The…read moredischarge hose was not inserted into the drain correctly and it came out and began emitting water into the cupboard under our kitchen sink. Since the leak was so slow, we did not notice it until we went downstairs and saw the huge water bubble in the basement ceiling. The carpet was soaked. All in all, we had a repair bill of just under $2,600. I called Paul at Water Pros the day we discovered the damage and he told me that he "would take care of me." He suggested I call my insurance company to start the claim. I did that and was told that since the damage was less than my homeowners deductible, that it would be up to the installers insurance company to cover it. The Hartford Insurance company carried Water Pros insurance policy. I sent and explanation of what had happened with the pictures I had and was told that since I did not prove that the damage was due to their insured policyholder (Water Pro's), they would not cover the claim. Not worried, I again called Paul at Water Pro's. Now he was changing his tune. No longer was it "I will take care of you," but now it was suggesting that it was not his installer's fault that the damage had happened. I told him that any other cause was ridiculous. Was he suggesting that I or someone else pulled the waste water line out of the drain myself? Ultimately, he said it was impossible for the waste water line to come out of the drain. Funny that, since it was sticking nearly straight up out of the drain when I found it. On the day I found the leaking line, I immediately turned off the water and proceeded to anchor the line to the underside of the kitchen counter before curving it back down into the drain. I then squeezed the line together so that it wouldn't want to spring back out again and held it with a nylon tie wrap. Paul refuses to admit fault for his installation and has stuck me with the repair bill. I am currently seeking remedy in Small Claims Court.

We were given quotes for 4 different water heaters, including one gas heater. That allowed us to compare pricing & features. 2. We were given 2 quotes for the electrical work depending on ease or difficult access to the mechanical room. All quotes were detailed with line items for parts, etc. That was very professional vs the companies that give you a "black box" price with no details. Prices were reasonable for today's structure. Still a shock as we've had the house for 13 years with very few repairs needed. But it is what it is. We had a problem with the initial water heater hookup. They quickly sent out a top electrician (Pete) who verified everything and found one problem. He said he'd talk to the owner in case there was a problem with the water heater. The Essency has communication and app control features so the board working is critical. The next morning they had a full replacement water heater on the truck in case it was needed. It was not needed, Pete and Jacob had it up and running and reverified everything. Pete also caught that our router had paused the connection to water heater for some reason. Pete called later to make sure everything was good. We live near DU and there was no stalling around about coming out here. Every person that showed up communicated well and was good to have in our house.

6 reasons to think twice about save home heat…read more This one goes out to female homeowners who might be especially vulnerable to smooth-talking HVAC salesmen. A week ago, I had a regularly scheduled maintenance visit with Save Home Heat. What followed was a beautifully crafted upsell: psychologically astute, layered, and intricate. It may have been an isolated incident, due to a slow February, or part of a larger corporate ethos. The salesman tried to sell me a water heater, which I do in fact need, but also tried to say my 2019 furnace was basically beyond repair, and that I would need a new furnace, and because my AC was also the same vintage it would be best to get a new heat pump as well, for "peace of mind." The total came to $30,761.83. Here's exactly what happened. 1. The year prior, on a maintenance visit, Save Home Heat missed a critical repair, a major red flag, to fix the flue and combustion air for furnace. Flue and combustion air systems are key for safety, efficiency, and equipment longevity in fuel-burning appliances. 2. The salesperson tried to say what he called my 8-year-old furnace, which in fact just turned 7 in January, was old, meh (builder's grade), and pretty much beyond repair. He said the industry standard for my furnace was 12 years. The repairs they quoted me came to $3242.08. The salesguy said there were in fact probably more repairs lurking that he couldn't even see and best would be to replace the furnace altogether. Cost for a new furnace: $13,464.12. When I did get a second opinion, as strongly suggested by friends, I went with Carbon Valley Heating & Air. Dale Moe, the Carbon Valley service manager, said industry standard for furnaces was in fact between 10 and 15 years, and my furnace was well worth repairing rather than replacing. Estimate for Carbon Valley's repair, for flue and combustion air for furnace, and for return air in basement: Cost = $1898. 3. The Save Home Heat salesguy mentioned my furnace was grinding, which it wasn't really doing. He also showed me an amp reading and said the motor was using more than was indicated. His reading was 2.41. Therefore, I would need a new combustion blower for $898. The specified amount on the nameplate is 2.35. When Carbon Valley came and did a reading, their reading was 2.2. 4. Save Home Heat, in their estimate, quoted a repair for the blower wheel ($431), blower motor replacement ($850) and for a pressure switch ($224). Carbon Valley said the blower was "not grinding nor compromised, was balanced and showed no signs of needing repair." Dale said the furnace would not be working with a bad pressure switch and this another unnecessary "repair." 5. Save Home Heat then went beyond suggesting I replace my furnace. (February, given its mild temps, was apparently a very slow month for the HVAC trade!) He said, since my AC was the same vintage as my furnace, and therefore on the edge of its life, why not consider replacing both the AC and the furnace and swapping in a heat pump? Again, for "peace of mind." A heat pump would save me money on propane and since they were replacing everything at once they could really get in there do a great job of modifying the return AirDrop and supply ducting. Cost for a new furnace and heat pump: $25,195.57. 6. Save Home Heat used the classic sale tactics of creating fear and urgency. The salesman mentioned this was all pre-tariff pricing--God knows how much the new 2026 pricing would be when it would be instated very soon. Also, he pressured me more by saying their offer was only good for February, giving me roughly a week to come up with a decision. So my takeaway? Always get a second opinion for big ticket items. Always be skeptical and curious about every single line item. Work with a company that has proven its integrity and is worthy of your trust. As for me, I cancelled my membership with Save Home Heat and will not be working with them in the future.
