Thankfully I found Joe. He was knowledgeable, funny, a great guy and didn't try to upsell a thing. He replaced my water heater at a great price. While he was here my sewer was backing up when he tried to drain the water heater. He asked that we get it cleared before he finished the job. We called Homeservice plumbers and they came out, said there was a block and they would have to tear up the basement and the starting price was almost 7k. More if they found other problems and they repeatedly tried to use, used car sales tactics and scare tactics to get me to replace Joe as my plumber and destroy the basement to clear a "block". Joe recommended Colorado Sewer Service and they came out and cleared the "block" in 10 minutes for 1/50th of what they were going to charge to tear up the basement and install a new unnecessary pipe just to begin with, which I am sure they would have tried to turn into a 20k plus job. Joe did a fast and excellent job and is just a good human being. I cannot say enough good things about this man and his business. Without a doubt I will use him for every job I need in the future. The management team and install team have shown they want to create a positive customer experience and expressed intent to maintain a 10+ year relationship. I look forward to wrapping up the final items and updating my review with the full experience. The install is complete, however, the process has been frustrating. I went with Plumbline because of the Costco relationship. The communication in the sales process to the install was frustrating getting commitment on what hot water heater would be installed (Model # and specs). I will be updating with more details around experience with communication on the job, Costco rebate, and commitment what is being installed. During install I was surprised with the add-on pricing. I understand these are highly skilled workers who deserve to be paid well and I hope the company makes a profit so they can be around to support my HVAC & plumbing needs. With so many trades on site I thought there may be a savings in having them complete the electrical & plumbing upgrades they recommended. $450 for outdoor faucet replacement, +$684 for water pressure regulator, $450 to install a $120 surge protector that was done in ~20min, $1,164 to replace a 6' flex gas line from the wall to hot water heater. This is on an already $26k job with full HVAC and hot water heater and all trades on site with materials in their truck. I was hopeful to bring these other items up to date at a fair cost with one appointment. Maybe this is the reality of what plumbing costs these days. The install crew HVAC, Electrical, and Plumbing were all great and I appreciate their work.

Did I get an off day? My A/C was cutting off intermittently and I asked them to come by. They did…read morefind out the problem after a bit, but didn't want to do any maintenance on the unit because of a bush? I easily cut the bush in 5 minutes, this wasn't a crazy bush. I understand the maintenance wasn't scheduled but I've never had a company turn down additional work while onsite. I also asked for a mini split quote and they didn't look at the attic access at all to see what was possible. It's a tight space but inspectors have been up there. Their solutions just didn't seem like they wanted to do the work. Quote at $15k. I talked to a contractor the following week and he said that the attic space would be sufficient for someone to go in. They did come on time.
