Called them to come out and replace hot water pipe attached to water heater; a lot of rust had accumulated and I couldn't even see where they were attached. Also thought I would have them flush out water tank while they were here; had never had it done in the 4 years that we have lived here. Came out on time, very friendly and used face mask while they were here. Looked at the tank, told me what needed to be done and gave me a quote that was much less than I expected. Also told me that the tank didn't need to be flushed not, appreciate the savings. Asked them about quality of our water heater and they told me it is the brand they recommend and use almost exclusively. Explained what they had done and that they had removed the old copper pipe with new insulated pipes for both hot and cold water. I am happy that I found Jacob originally via the Thumbtack website, which is oriented toward homeowners who need to hire professionals for home improvement, repairs, and other projects. Regarding the plumbing issue in my home- my pipes would shudder profoundly from water hammer whenever I used the washing machine- in addition to making a loud thumping sound that could be heard and felt throughout the home every time the washing machine valves would open and close during operation. I had water hammer arrestors already on the washing machine, but they were not helping much. Jacob assessed the situation and measured the pressure of the water in my home, which was at 95psi. Jacob informed me that the water pressure should not be over 75psi, otherwise it can harm water related appliances such as the dishwasher, washing machine and hot water heater- and of course that the high pressure was the likely cause of water hammer in my home. I did some quick research online to confirm that indeed, residential water pressure should not exceed 75psi. I went with Jacob's recommendation to install a commercial grade pressure reducing valve that would cap the plumbing water pressure at 75psi throughout the entire home. The device that he installed works wonderfully, as it completely resolved my problem. Finally, I no longer have the annoying and harmful water hammer issue. Additionally, in another area of my basement, he properly attached plumbing pipes to the wall, so as to support and stabilize the plumbing. I found Jacob to be very knowledgeable and professional, and would gladly hire him again in the future. He is a high quality professional that takes pride in his work. read more

We hired pipe craft plumbing because they had great reviews. Upon our first visit we were charged $175 to replace a toilet seat that we provided. Our other issue that we were hoping would be fixed was that the tank hardware wasn't working properly. After speaking with the owner Jacob, he let me know that he would send a plumber out to rectify the situation. He came out today and Jacob the owner informed his plumber that we would have to pay $215 to have the hardware fixed so that the toilet didn't run anymore. It just doesn't feel right. read more

I have used Pipecraft Plumbing in the past and when a leak was discovered on Sunday evening coming from my second floor bathroom shower into the garage below, I didn't hesitate in calling Jacob at Pipecraft. I left a message and he returned my call that same night. Jacob is professional, and really seems to care about your plumbing issues. Jacob was ready to come out right away if it was an emergency. Since the leak stopped when the shower was stopped we agreed on an appointment time a few days later. Jacob arrived on time and immediately proceeded to analyze the cause of the leak and where it was located. After some testing within 10 minutes Jacob found the cause and went to work. I trusted him to the point I didn't even ask for an estimate until he was into the fix. As I expected, his quote was not only reasonable but less than expected. He was able to come through my closet wall and not cut the tile and fix the leaking pipe. He finished the job within the hour and left everything cleaner than he found it.
