Once our situation better aligned with moving forward with a purchase, just for grins, I searched "new" camper vans instead of searching used and I landed on a new 2025 Thor Twist at Mericle that was priced competitively with used models I'd seen. It had 1,200 miles from being driven from the factory in Indiana and was taken to a trade show, but everything Thor was unused and still under warranty. We reached out via their contact us form and was out in touch with Brandon. This is a small, mom and pop dealership-and we love supporting small businesses. Brandon was upfront and very fair. It was up there with the best "car-buying" experiences I've ever had. We corresponded by phone, FaceTime for a video walkthrough of the van and checked everything on the van to make sure everything was in order. They specialize in tow behind trailers, so the van wasn't for their primary audience. After we did our due diligence, we made arrangements to drive from Texas to Colorado to see it in person and to purchase it if everything checked out. And it did. Brandon, DJ and Mike took great care of us, getting us acquainted with all of the systems, researching and fixing a noise on the roof that ended up being some cables for the awning that had broken free of their zip tie before we headed back to Texas. No sales pressure, just genuine, nice people that went above and beyond for even out of state buyers! lol. If you're looking for a place that remembers how to give great service, reach out to them. Second time renting!…read more We had an awesome time with the Baja Ford F-350. Although it took some time to get used to driving such a large vehicle, the ride itself was extremely comfortable with all the bells and whistles that a modern high trim vehicle could have! (vented seats in the summer will never be underrated) We had the rental for a total of 3 nights. Pick up was straightforward and as long as you review the helpful manual that they send you (along with watching the Baja walkthrough video on Youtube), it should be all that you need to get settled in! The camper shell is very roomy with plenty of amenities and the fact that you can raise and lower the top makes the handling of the truck (when the top is down) a cinch. Having a roomy shower and toilet onboard is a true godsend when boondocking or if you're at a campground without those facilities. The battery onboard is large enough to run the A/C for hours on end and as long you drive and/or park in the sun, it will help in recharging the batteries so no need fretting if you can't find a place to hook up to power! With a large fresh water tank, it gives you plenty of water to take a shower (or 2 depending on how many people and how long they shower), wash dishes and clean up! The fridge is fantastic and kept our drinks and food cold without any issues (just don't overstuff it!). Cooking in truck was always easy as there is plenty of room to cook and prep your food! Overall we were quite pleased with our experience and the drop off process was just as seamless (just pop in the Rossmonster business and drop off your keys). The company and staff are responsive and their rigs are extremely impressive. Being able to rent one really gives one the opportunity to "try before you buy" and is something I will always appreciate. The company stands by their vehicles and designs and it shows as they actively encourage people to rent them out to see what all the hype is about! Would 100% recommend.

Some may have related to volume of business that came due to RV popularity during COVID, but -- 1. Refrigerator not properly vented -- vents into a closed cabinet 2. Upper cabinets not safely attached due to over "trimming" alteration of carriage bolts -- no useful advice from Rossmonster (my brothers and neighbors help me get it fixed). 3. One interior side panel is poorly fitted -- I will have to get a carpenter to help me replace it -- it bows out and it is pushing an original "cover" out of place. It was hiding behind the seat/bed, but totally visible and prone to damage when the bed is deployed. 4. Quality of fabric work is not good. 5. Installed screen on side door kept falling down -- turns out they had actually greased the slot in the door trim that they shoved the screen into -- it lasted about 15 miles and kept falling off (I have changed to a better brand) On the good side, the electric system is awesome. They were helpful during van design.

Manny Beauchamp 29 years of sales with Windish (this tells me right off something good about this dealership) Manny showed us the inventory that met with our needs and gave us an initial offer with our trade.... Of course this wasn't what we wanted. So began the negotiations (via text & phone) We countered and our offer was accepted. It was too easy. But quite fair. We gave our deposit and set a date for transfer. We arrived and under Mannys guidance we up graded our tow package and had our cameras sealed over.... This all being done while we toured the new rig and did the paper work Thomas in Customer Service gave us a tour and demonstration of all the features of our new rig. He knew his stuff and wasn't rushing through. Next up we met with Sam Kerner Financial Officer. (Now, we all know how this usually goes with sales pitches and up grades) Pleasantly surprised to report that this was hands down the best experience we ever had in a purchase of a vehicle. We did do the added exterior protection and as always we take on the extended warranty..., but without any pressure and with Sam finding us good discounts. Sam is a gem for Windish RV. (Sam also gifted us a gift card for their store) While transferring our stuff from the old to new rig one of the detailing guys (Nate) noticed we had an issue and offered to help us slide our trike over and unload it. He reported that he loved working at Windish. The detail supervisor (name ?) stopped by and reviewed what had been done to prepare the interior and exterior for years of use. Next up was the transfer of our cameras by (forgot his name) He knew what he was doing and had it done in no time and made sure everything worked to our expectations. When we were ready a Service Tech. came out and gave us a demonstration and hands on with our new tow package. (It was a smart move on our part to take Mannys advice) Since we left with our new rig and have been touring Colorado Manny has contacted us several times to see how we were doing and helped us sort out of a few items (like light switch locations and simple items) My wife Nancy and I can not say enough good things about our experience with this Windish RV and have even referred a couple we met in Glenwood looking to upgrade their rig.
