Really love this place! I've been moving all around the city in different neighborhoods but I find a way to pick up a pizza from here. The only bad thing that its not a dine-in restaurant and they only accept cash. They have that authentic fresh Italian taste to their sauces and it makes you feel good that you're supporting a family owned business instead of major chain frozen "pizzerias". I really dig their thin pizza. Being new to the neighborhood, we had to locate a new pizza place for those days I have no desire to cook- mostly Friday nights. We've been faithful customers since our first bite and this is our go to pizza place all the time. The only down size is that they don't sell larger pizzas then their Family size, but that's becuase I have teen boys and I have no choice but to order 2 pizzas. Fantastic pizza! Nothing else but fantastic pizza! If you are looking for wings or salads or breadsticks, you'll be disappointed. But if you are looking for great pizza takeout, this is the place. Thin crust is very crispy and nicely topped with flavorful sauce (not too sweet), and good toppings. The pan pizza is also very crispy on the outside, a little softer and breadier where the sauce touches, and the sauce itself is a little lighter yet more chunky with pieces of tomato in it. While thin crust is my favorite, the pan makes a nice change. The sausage and pepperoni are amazingly good and my favorites. Geo's is really picky about their quality, and it shows. Ricotta makes a nice topping as well with a very different, lasagna-like flavor. It's very tasty on the pan pizza with spinach. The toppings are the usual you will find on pizza--mushrooms, peppers, olives, onions, pineapple, etc. Artichokes are not on the menu, but they do have them sometimes--you just have to ask. We've been eating here for 27 years. Haven't been disappointed yet. Note--bring cash because they don't take credit cards or checks. read more

The pizza is ok but the manger/owner is a real A-hole. Waited over a hour for pizza to get delivered and sad to say it never made it. When i spoke to the manager he practically yelled at me and tried to send me cold pizza. I refused the pizza especially when the owner started yelling at me over the phone demanding I pay for my pizza. Never will order from here again! read more

I usually go down the street from Geo's for my pizza. A friend from work recommended Geo's so I decided to give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised that all that is sold is pizza and soda. I ordered a sausage and pepperoni. Well it was thin but overcooked. I understand crispy but burnt. With how thin the pizza is cooking shouldn't take long. I will order again and ask that they get it slightly brown on top. I will update my review. read more

Tried them for the first time last night. Their pizza has good flavor. The crust is thin and very crispy, which I like. Too many thin crusts are soggy and limp. Theirs is stiff and has a nice crunch. The sauce has a good flavor, but I do prefer just a bit more spices. Toppings had decent distribution - most slices had each ingredient. I dropped one star for two reasons. Firstly, because they didn't cover the crust in toppings. There was an inch or inch and a half all around that was just sauce. So, even though we paid for a 16", we actually got a 13" or 14" on a 16" crust. I understand they don't want toppings to slide off while cooking, but I have never had another pizza with such a large border of only sauce. Enough so that the corners... Weird how we call triangular pieces on a round pizza, corners, but I digress... The corners had nothing but sauce and a speck of an ingredient. That didn't make me smile. Secondly, they have a $2 off coupon online and I mentioned it when ordering. I was told to show it to the driver. "We don't have a working printer" "Just take a photo and show him on your phone" Ok. This is a pointless exercise. When someone mentions the coupon, just take the $2 off the total. Or better yet, just make all pizzas $2 cheaper and eliminate the coupon completely. Then they could just be less expensive than the competition. Also, I need to mention that it is a little odd that they have thin crust, pan pizza and sodas ONLY. That is the extent of their menu. No sandwiches, salads, etc. Ok, I get it - streamlined and focus. But no pizza bread or garlic bread even? Here's a free tip - those are moneymakers and some people want them along with their pizza. So, they may go elsewhere, losing a sale and more lost profit on the add-ons. Anyway... All in all, a decent pizza! read more

Amazing family run old school pizza business. They've been in business since 1972 and consistently perfect since then. Crust is perfectly crispy in the thin crust pizza. Pan is thick with no holding back on toppings for the pan pizza. The sauce is excellent with a great zest. One point - after eating our sausage thin crust pizza- there was no grease on the pizza circle. You could tell the pizza is fresh, the sausage lean and tender, always hot. Midnight snack with friends called for pizza delivery. Overall decent, but lacked depth of flavor. Liked the crispy crust, but the cheese pizza could have used more umph with seasonings. When you are getting something simple like cheese (there were four veggies in the group so it was the compromise), you need to make sure the flavor is there or else the pizza falls flat. read more

I like how the inside is nothing fancy, just a small old place with old pictures pertaining to Italians & park district teams that they helped sponsor, which are common traits of a good pizzeria. There were 2 young guys & an older man working there at the time. I've never seen a menu that was so basic. They only offer thin crust & pan, nothing else!!! I ordered a medium thin 1/2 sausage & 1/2 bacon for about $12. Despite the pizza being somewhat overcooked, it was pretty good, the sausage really stood out. The pizza tasted pretty good and was ready in a fairly quick amount of time. However, there were several issues that prevented this from being a 4 star review. First, the prices seemed a bit high for what we ordered. Second, the lack of an online menu forced us to simply call and hope they had what we wanted. This is how we found out they ONLY MAKE PIZZA. No sides, no appetizer, ONLY PIZZA. Lastly, the pizza we ordered was half toppings and other half just cheese (for the vegetarian). When we brought it home we could see that more than half the pizza was covered in toppings and the pieces were in all different shapes and sizes. Now that I have a menu I can manage my expectations, making the first two issues moot. Based on how good the pizza tasted, I would definitely order it again read more

I love this place. I've been eating their pizza since I was a kid. I remember in the 90's the place was destroyed by a fire and they didn't know if they would rebuild. I remember being a little kid and crying about it. Fast forward to now. I live in Darien and make the 45 min ride to pick up a pizza at least once a month.
