The initial employee was very apologetic and we were in no hurry but she insisted on holding our items and would not let me leave any form of payment but promised to call when the computers were working. We even went to lunch and came back because it was a graduation shopping trip for the girls and they really liked their items. No one ever called and when I phoned back less than 48 hours later I was told someone had called about all the orders on hold and if you didn't show up immediately your items were put back on the shelf. I double checked my phone and there were no missed calls or messages. It's sad that no one can use a calculator and take cash for sales when this happens and that a company doesn't care about the sale of merchandise. This was one of my favorite stores for 20+ years but I will never go back to any location because the manager in La Jolla was so rude when I called and did not care about making this sale or that it was a missed opportunity.

She was so kind to help me! I told her I will likely come back as often as I can as I do live far but I am part of a shamanic lineage and tradition where we come to the ocean a lot for spiritual purposes. It was so great to meet such a kind hearted individual who also believes in the power of energy spirits and gods. As an okinawan woman, I often feel very misunderstood and overspoken in today's time post japan overtaking okinawa. It was very healing to meet a healer who was open to hear my story and my family background Nuchi du takara (all life is precious in uchinaguchi/ okinawan native language which was banned post ww2) and chibariyo!! I enjoy shopping for stylish clothes. I go to La Donna when I visit San Diego every year. This…read moreyear was eye opening. First of all, she only has a 7 day return policy. This should have been my first warning. I tried on a shirt and it has a small blood stain. Yuck! So I tried on the same shirt (she had 2) and noticed it had no designer label on the back of the collar, and no tag inside for washing instructions, and had a stain. I said to her, "This shirt has been worn". She said, that is the way it came from the company. No way! Have you ever walked into a store (unless it was a second hand store) and seen new clothes without the washing instructions on the inside seam or the designer/manufacturing label missing from the back neckline? So I didn't buy it. I bought a few things and a cute dress and traveled back to home. This week and I went to wear the dress to dinner. Guess what - there's a food stain on the front of the dress. Looks like someone wore it, spilt a piece of food on their lap, and returned it. Since the tags are pinned to the label, it's easy to remove and reattach. She refuses to take it back. She said, "I would just dry clean it." So rude. It's disgusting that she is selling used clothing as new and refuses to take back a dress that is basically second hand. It's been worn. Someone is wearing the clothes and she is putting them back on the rack as new. Then I price checked her clothes against the manufacturers site, and she has marked them up over the MSRP. Buyer beware in this shop.

When she eventually came out, she was constantly on her phone and didn't make much effort to engage with me or provide assistance. When I asked for help, rather than asking what size I normally wear or taking the time to understand what I was looking for, she simply grabbed multiple sizes. The experience felt more like I was shopping on my own than being assisted by a sales stylist. I gave the store another chance and came back a second time. Unfortunately, the experience was exactly the same. The same sales associate was in the back, came out, gave a quick hello, and immediately went back to being on her phone. There was very little effort to engage with customers or create a welcoming shopping experience. I was also disappointed with the quality of the clothing. For the prices being charged, I expected much better quality. Some of the threads were already coming loose, and the overall construction did not feel worth the price. For the price point and quality, I honestly feel you can find better options elsewhere. I don't even typically shop at SHEIN, but the quality-to-price ratio here was disappointing enough that I would rather spend my money elsewhere. Overall, the combination of poor customer service, lack of attention from the sales associate, and overpriced clothing that feels cheaply made made this a very disappointing shopping experience. I expected a much higher level of service and quality for the prices Bobby Rocco charges.
