Ponds dams and beaches Georgiaville Pond Beach area is a whole lot more than just a beach. The swimming area is quite popular in the summer, especially with local kids, but the most interesting things are beyond the beach area. The main attraction to me is a huge dam and some cool views of both the lake and the streams that go into it. Last time I was there they were repairing the dam but we still could walk over it. At the end of the dam is a cool little bridge and the remains of some kind of power generating thing. All rusty and cool, definitely fun to mess around. It's a pretty popular place for people to hike in the winter but parking isn't a problem. In the summer parking is more difficult and you need a town sticker to use the beach, but day passes can be bought for non residents. The beach is pleasant but not really worth going out of your way for. This is one of those summery places that becomes much better in the winter.

Beautiful pond, clear water. However 4$ per person and 20$ to park was too pricey for 5 of us for 2 hours :(

Ask the Community - Georgiaville Pond Beach

Does anyone know the real address to the beach?

The beach doesn't have an actual address other than Stillwater Road, Smithfield, RI. However if you Google 22 Stillwater Road, that house is located just to the right of the entrance to the beach parking lot.

East Beach - Nice beach day in October!

What is there not to love about a clean, beautiful, Rhode Island beach?…read more Came out here for a quick girl's beach day. We drove a whole 2 hours to get here and the trip sure was worth it. Beaches in New York are definitely not all that so we decided to hit up the Rhode. It did not disappoint! Let's start by saying it was only $14 to park for the whole day! There are restrooms/changing rooms on premises. Everything is compostable so no flushing but the restrooms sure were pretty clean. No running water so you're kinda stuck with just hand sanitizer. I would recommend staying away from yellow, just let it mellow. The area is pretty isolated, it doesn't get too too packed. There's a limit of how much parking is available so it can only get "packed" up to a certain point. Bottom line: come to this beach. This is all I know but don't tell everyone about it. When things become popular they quickly get ruined. I know, I should've not reviewed it but I couldn't stay greedy. You're welcome, LOL, enjoy!

We figured that people would have had to have left by then so we took a chance and drive down anyhow. When we got to the girl, we asked if they had spots and she said yes! It was $7 and we found a spot right away. Parking can be limited but they have bathrooms and the walk to the beach is only a few steps away. The beach is long and narrow with plenty of room for everyone with space in between. We headed to the right and settled just past the area that they monitor. We set ourselves up with our chairs, umbrella and Italian grinders! The beach is clean and well taken care of! I was surprised that the bathrooms had already been locked for the evening and it was only 6:30. I mean, we did pay to use the facilities... closing them before 7 on a peak summer weekend is a bit excessive. Check out the spot closest to where you park. The water is completely still and would make the perfect place to sit and enjoy the peace and quiet.

You do have to pay to get in- but it's really cheap! Sadly the arcade was closed and the water slides weren't in the water due to Covid. The concession stand, bathroom, playground and mostly everything else was open! The water was what you would expect for a lake! A little slimy- but it was cool you could see huge sun fish swimming right next to you! There wasn't too many people here which was nice! They had lifeguards on duty! They had a roped off section where you could rent kayaks, paddle boards and little row boats which was priced amazing at like $7.00 an hour or $7.00 for 45 minutes the only downside was that it was roped off to a small section only due to covid! They had a volleyball court, a playground, ping pong tables and so many cool attributes. Lunch for 3 people was less then $25 including ice cream which is amazing- at the beach it would have been $60! I was quite impressed with this little beach and I would definitely be back- My only complaint would be wishing the parking was closer!
