What a lovely space just a few miles out of Providence. Picturesque and lots of picnic tables. Playground and beach. There are walking trails that lead into the quiet of the trees. The parking lot off the main road is small, however their are many more spaces available down Govenor Notte Parkway. Bathrooms open during Summer, portapotty in the fall. read more

Nice park, tennis court nearby with a bigger section to park if you walk down the street. Kayakers and fisherman can be seen off the side of the road. Swimming and small beach for the kids and a Playground, also benches. Benches can be quite dirty tho as well as the bridge rails full of spiderwebs and bugs. There's Also a baseball field. Beautiful sunset over the water at the right time but mosquitos can eat you up. There's events here for many occasions too. read more

FYI... $10 per person to use the beach for non North Providence residents. Seems a bit steep. No discount after 5pm either.

I was looking for a new place to go on a walk / eat lunch and this park exceeded my expectations. Upon pulling into the parking lot off Douglas Ave, I was already impressed by the water fountain. There is also a little bench and a cool rock climbing structure but, it continues to get better the more you walk. I went up the hill and there was a full playground, sand, a lake, a beautiful bridge, a venue, beautiful plants, a tennis court, and a short half mile nature trail.  The playground has a variety of stuff to do. There were kids bathing in the lake water so I assume it is safe to do so, but there are no lifeguards so it's at your risk. The bridge is super pretty and connects you to another area where there are the public tennis courts and the other side of a stream of water. There is also a venue farther down, and it is really beautiful with a dock by the water. The nature trail is really nice since its completely shaded and the perfect distance to just clear your head. The greenery all around is well maintained. I would definitely come back for a picnic, especially since this park is located off of Mineral Spring which has a done of affordable food options. read more

I've been living in North Providence for almost ten years and I have never explored this park. I was amazed by how clean it was. It looked like they had restrooms as well. I wish the park had a nicer pedestrian path but besides that I enjoyed my walk through this park. read more

It's a nice big and clean park. Has a play set for the Kids. Plenty of water to Fish at. Has an area monitored by Life Guards to swim. If you go get there early as there is not much parking and it fills up fast. FYI: DON'T Park on the Street there is no parking allowed and the Police will give you a ticket. read more

Great local little park. Some pretty waterfall in bridge has a lot to offer for kids or just a walk.

Governor Notte has been in my life for around 6 years now. I have come here so many times and had so many great memories here. It doesn't matter what season you come it's always so clean here and just a relaxing place to be. It's well up kept which I appreciate and everyone who seems to come here has respect and I appreciate that. They do have a tennis court, place to go fishing ( not sure if it's legal or not but people do), a place to swim during summer time, a baseball field and a children's playground area. It's not huge but it's big enough for our little town. They do have a concession stand who's run by Bobby and he's pretty cool, he's really nice and has amazing prices. This place is like a sanctuary to me. The grass is always so nice and the Views are always amazing. They have a very small maybe 10 car parking lot beside the park where the tennis court is but if you follow the signs you can find the bigger parking lot. Give it a go, make memories for free. read more

I live down the road from the park and go walking there quite a bit. It's fairly Clean and it looks like they are sprucing it up. There's a new tennis court being put in and the buildings are being worked on also. The only thing I wish is that maybe the bathrooms were open during the day. Maybe it is off season so they aren't open yet but it's still a nice scenic place to walk. read more

This is a really cute park to bring kids/dog. There's a beach but I wouldn't swim here. The concession stand has a variety of items that are reasonably priced. Bobby runs it and is very food allergy aware. There are swings, a play structure and climbing net thing. In the lower area near lot there is a rock climb structure and a small pond for kids to fish in. My son attends summer camp here and the staff is wonderful. He likes it much more than the YMCA camp he attended prior. Lunch and field trips are included in camp cost. It's very reasonably priced. I've attended an event at Camp Meehans new function hall. It's a nice space overlooking the water. There's a shaded walking path that is nice to run or walk your dog. read more

Love this park. Lots to see and it seems like there is always a Town event happening during the Spring thru the Fall. A freshwater beach with a concession stand. A ball field as well as a small playground and a modest walking trail. A two net tennis court also. Really scenic views for a North Providence location. Ample parking as well. read more

We are very lucky to have this beautiful waterfront public property right here in North Providence. The pond and park share a border with Lincoln. The majority of the location is North Providence property. There is ample parking for day to day visits. However, during events, the parking is terrible. It is a hike from the street to the events area. The town is looking to purchase a small area of land in the back to put in more parking for the Meehan Overlook, but that is to be seen. The pond itself is open to the public for swim in the summer equipped with lifegaurds. During the summer there is also an affordable camp run right from the park. Town residents get a significant discount. The playground is pretty run of the mill but there is a lot.more than that to offer. There are multiple fields (dirt), walking paths and scenic views. The Meehan Overlook is the newest edition to the park, but really should have it's own Yelp! Account as it is an event venue. Over all Notte Park is a hit. read more

Came here for a little walk with the pup, really enjoyed it. We took the little trail at the end of the parking lot by the camp site it was perfect for a short walk in the neighborhood. The little beach was cute and was a nice spot to relax. Will definitely be coming back to this park! read more

This is one of my favorite hiking places! It's in North Providence where I grew up and they have added trails that wrap all around the water. The best part of this place is the 4th of July fireworks they have the fireworks and little festival net the park! read more

I love to visit this park. The pond is beautiful in every season and it becomes a lovely place to swim in the summer. At certain times of the year the sand can become smelly so I avoid swimming on those occasions. The playground is shady and well maintained. The parking lot on Douglass Ave makes the park easy to access and the walk from the car to the pond and playground includes a bridge over a waterfall. The bathrooms, when open, are adequate. Bring hand sanitizer if the bathroom is closed and you need the port-a-potty. This is a nice place to take children- though easier if they're potty-trained. read more

Found out about this park because it was featured in the most recent RI monthly as a place to go swimming in fresh water, so I headed over there to do just that. There's 2 parking lots - the larger one is set back from the road and from each there's a nice paved path to the beach. I parked in the back lot so I walked by a well maintained baseball field. Sadly I found out that the beach has been closed due to bacteria counts, so I wasn't able to actually go swimming. That is the reason for the 3 star review at this time. It's such a teaser to be presented with a beautiful view of a pond, restrooms to use if needed, and a cute walking bridge, but not to have the swimming available. I didn't stay long, but I did sit down for a little while and just enjoy the view before I moved on to my next freshwater swimming locale. If I ever get to actually swim in this park, I will definitely update the review. I was a little disappointed that the RI beaches website does not have any information about this place, so the only way to find out whether it's open, is to go and see for yourself read more

How is it that I've driven by this place so many times and never noticed that there was a park? There are benches, a playground, and a nice little trail that goes around the ball field. It's short enough where you are able to go around several times if you wish, or bail if you're feeling hurt or need a break. The view over the water is lovely, and it seems overall pretty darn clean. Found this place over the summer and enjoyed it, but even more serene and enjoyable in the fall - few to no other people here, and the colors are beautiful. Nice clean little beach! Great place to bring the kids to swim in the fresh waters of Twin River. The cost is$2 for N. Prov. residents and $6 for non-residents. Kids under 10 are free. They have a lifeguard on duty till 6pm. They have lots of shaded areas with picnic tables. There are nice walking trails. They have a small and a bigger parking lots. They have a snack bar with reasonable prices for hot dog, burgers and snacks. They also have a playground. The kids are in love with this place. read more

First time I've come and i love it definitely coming back, my niece loves it. Easy to access and $2 per person is a steal, plenty of picnic tables and lots of shades to chill out with the family. Perfect place if you want to pass the day with the family or friends. Bring your own food and drinks because i didn't see any kiosk or vending machines. I would recommend to come during the weeks also, because being an affordable place attracts lots of weird people during the weekends. read more
